I recently stayed at the Ibis Budget Hotel in Manchester and had an excellent experience. The hotel's proximity to the airport made it incredibly convenient for our trip, especially since we were picking up my son from the airport. The hotel was impeccably clean, and the room was comfortable, providing all the essentials for a good night's rest. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making our stay even more pleasant. Overall, it was a comfortable and stress-free experience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable stay near Manchester Airport.

Check In was super easy! We were greeted warmly on arrival and asked before giving us the 8th floor to stay. The staff were always smiling and helpful. On our last day after check out, we were able to leave our bags in luggage check before leaving for the train station again later on in the day. Great location, very close to the Mall, the train station and various breakfast spots just a short walk.

We have stayed at this hotel a couple of times previously. Unfortunately on the last occasion 10th March (arrived 1am and left 10.30am) we had some cleanliness issues. Our room (517) needed hoovering and a hand towel had make up on it. However the day manager did quickly apologise and said she would contact housekeeping to ensure that this would not happen again. We are (with friends) due again in October this year. She also offered a level of discount to be applied on our future stay , probably for dinner. We thought that these actions were professional and courteous.

Parking: The parking arrangement is convenient if you’re driving, especially with free parking between 8 pm and 8 am. Outside of those hours, you’ll need to pay, so keep that in mind if you’re staying for longer stretches. Hotel Condition: This is where the hotel shows its age. The building is very old, and while it has some charm, it could definitely use an upgrade. You can feel the wear and tear in the common areas and some of the rooms. Rooms: The rooms are a mixed bag. The basic rooms are just that—basic. They’re not particularly comfortable, and if you’re picky about where you sleep, you might feel underwhelmed. However, if you go for one of the upgraded rooms, the experience is much better. Those rooms feel cleaner and more inviting. Breakfast: Breakfast is a solid deal at just £9. It’s not a luxury spread, but it gets the job done. You’ll find the usual options for a budget-friendly hotel breakfast. Staff: The staff are a highlight of the hotel. They’re very kind and helpful, making you feel welcome from check-in to check-out. Value for Money: Overall, this is a budget-friendly hotel, so you do get what you pay for. Not a glamorous place, but location is excellent very central and is always exceptional value for money. Always feel safe with 24/7 security and rooms are a decent size. I do think they are slowly making some positive noticeable steps towards their image problem and notorious reputation. Firstly they now offer free WiFi and don’t charge and I was pleasantly surprised at the complimentary upgrade to a room with a window, new smart TVs larger variety of drinks, upgraded bathroom - always very clean. For the price I paid and given the location right next to Market St and Northern Quarter - if you need a place to crash and not looking for luxury and have realistic expectations - excellent. The rooms without a window I actually like - especially in winter they are warm and think blackout curtains. Always have the best sleep. Appreciate that isn’t always for everyone and often they will upgrade these sometimes with breakfast for £10 a night just ask at check in. Some of the staff, security and reception can be quite surly and rude some of the time - expect they don’t have an easy job - and some guests can be absolutely vile and sometimes you can tell blanket rule some of them have is all guests are potentially problematic. Example - I forgot my room number, I always memorise the way to get there rather then the number itself - I know that’s bizarre but started a full on questioning accusing me of pretending to be me and an intruder. I had my wallet and photo ID to prove I am me - surely this would have been a friendlier more appropriate approach rather than instantly assuming I’m a criminal. Photo ID worked fine for them to allow me to my room which I had a key for and found just fine. Just constructive feedback

Perfect budget friendly hotel. We stayed here for one night and it was just what we needed. Great location, near loads of restaurants and bars. The reception/bar area was cool and quirky. The staff were really friendly from start to finish. We got the no window king room, which had a massive bed and tv which loads of lighting. Was compact but worked well. The free coffee machine is an added bonus. Overall great experience and i’ll be back for sure

The hotel is sited at a very convenient location with just 3-min walk to Oxford Road station, the room is fine but the using of access cards is a little bit tricky and malfunction few times and we needed to request the reception to change a new one Regardless of the flaw, everything’s fine and the breakfast is good, so it’s still worth to consider here for your stay considering their convenience in location and traffic

Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast room very spacious. Close to my sons apartment as I travelled from Northumberland as he took me to AO Arena for concert for my upcoming birthday. Only downside which isn't a complaint is my rooms bathroom had leaky sink and heated towel rail and some black spots around bath grout area. Also noisy plumbing sounds throughout my 2 night stay which was just shy of £200 and sadly kept waking me up throughout the night. May be related to the leaks?

I feel the room was over priced by about £15 - £20 but not too bad considering the quality of the other hotels around the area. You can get the bus for £2 if you are prepared to walk a wee bit.

A super convenient location, and a simply stunning hotel offering stunning views over Manchester to the Pennines. The room was immaculately clean, and the small details were all so impressive and thoughtful, with top quality toiletries in the bathroom and snacks and bottled water provided. A short but sweet stay, hope to return before long!

The room was so exrremely cosy, and the air con available was perfect for its purpose. The staff were lovely and very accommodating as were the guests quiet during the night. The bathroom and room were superbly clean, so congratulations to the HK team. Their service is impeccable.

Nice cheap option when all the hotels in central Manchester were so expensive. Less than 5 mins walk to station and frequent trains into town. Didn’t spend much time here but bar service was great and rooms were clean and spacious. Buffet breakfast was very nice too

Arrived really late but quick checkin , room clean and bed really comfy , taxi from airport was under 10 mins and cost roughly £15 ( tip included 😊) good nights sleep followed by breakfast which is included in the price , everything from fruit , cereals , yogurt , toast or to set you up for your travels you can have a cooked breakfast, really enjoyed and the staff were lovely, hotel called a taxi for us which arrived really quick and we were on our way back to the station stress free , highly Recommend

We had a pleasant stay at this new and clean hotel. The bed was very comfortable, and we appreciated the thoughtful touch of complimentary snacks and drinks provided at check-in. The breakfast spread was excellent and delicious. The location is very convenient for Terminal 2. However, there aren’t any nearby restaurants, and since we were using Terminal 1, it took about 15 minutes to walk there. Overall, it’s a great choice, highly recommended.

I demand a refund asap!! I stayed here in February 2024 and was rudely awoken by a police officer at 2am after a disturbance in the room next to me. (9th floor exec lounge) I mistakenly gave them another chance for one night this summer, after a great night in the exec lounge, I had a shower and attempted to get into bed only to find blood speckled all over the bedsheets. The prices this hotel charges, basic cleanliness and hygiene should be the bare minimum to be expected!

During my stay, one of the restaurant staff was rude and made my family and me feel uneasy. The person didn't have good customer service skills, and it felt like we were being treated badly, which was upsetting. On the positive side, the receptionist was welcoming, lovely breakfast and the location is convenient.

If you stay at a Premier Inn bring a toilet brush! I use Premier Inn quite a lot - convenient, comfortable and value for money. Not this time! There seems to have been a change in corporate policy, for the worse. The card that I got when checking in told me that I could get my room made up by informing Reception before 12:00, which I did. Upon my return to the room nothing had been done! Reception then informed me that their head office policy now was for stays longer than one night, rooms would only be made up after 5 days! Fortunately they found some clean towels, replacement tea bags and a toilet brush. Someone from the bar then helped me make up the room and clean the bathroom. Top marks for staff helpfulness but no marks for corporate cleanliness.

Was my first time at Premier Inn and i was pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. Since there are two hotels on site, I wasn’t sure which ones i was to be in so my Uber driver had to wait while i went inside the hotel. I walked right past the reception desk ( easy to miss bc its so small) and went to kiosk but wasn’t being successfully with it. So teh employee at teh reception desk came over and asked if her could help and checked me in in a heartbeat, allowing me to dismiss the Uber driver. Then the same employee not only helped me with my luggage, but took it up in the elevator for me, and the whole time he explained the amenities of the hotel. Once we reached my room, he continued to show me how the key and electricity works, etc. He also arranged for my airport shuttle in the morning. I’m sorry I can’t remember his name but he was excellent on customer service!!! The room was large and clean as was the bathroom. The TV automatically turned itself on and I had a hard time finding how to turn it off- no instructions or remote, etc. Although I didn’t use the coffee supplies, the fact that you had liquid milk/creamer for the coffee was a pleasant surprise. My only complaint was that the bed was too soft and the pillows too hard. I also could have I used a blanket and top sheet but turned on the heat instead to be comfortable. I did not use the restaurant or order any room service.

Booked this for my partner and son who were doing the old Trafford tour and went to a game. Typical man, partner didn't take any photos. He was impressed with the cleanliness and comfort of the room and said reception couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. My 9year old thought his stay was 10 out of 10. He loved his breakfast and he would stay every time he goes to watch his team 😊

Couldn't find our fully paid booking, 1 room had foam toppers on beds other room didn't very uncomfortable sleep. Having to pay a deposit for a kettle is ridiculous wont be staying again. .

A solid stay with all the essentials you’d expect from a standard hotel. Check-in was simple and efficient, making for a smooth start to the stay. I appreciated the nice coffee machine on the second floor—great for a quick caffeine fix. The rooms and common areas were clean, and the staff provided good service throughout. Overall, a reliable and pleasant experience.

Attending area for a funeral. Basic room, no fridge, premises starting to show its age. Staff, food and gym equipment excellent.

A surprise trip for my husband's birthday, The location was ok, there is a shopping mall close by with restaurants. Lovely place to take a walk.

Venue has a beautiful ambience from the moment you walk in to the various places you can sneak and relax around the property. Safe surroundings to go for a walk or work out in gym or swim in the pool. Loved it very much will be coming again. Carol and Ray

Good breakfast and comfortable

We travelled with teenage son for this UK trip so we preferred 2 Bedroom apartments, our preference is service apartment. This is a good price for this location, this comfort. We booked for 3 nights stay unfortunately they dont provide housekeeping daily, [ no towel change / no dish washing/ etc ] however you may request for housekeeping daily @£45/day!. The rooms are not big though but comfortable enough for 3 adults. 2 Bedrooms 2 bathrooms 2 queen bed , washer , fridge, kitchen, nespresso machine etc .The location is good 5 mins - 10 mins to food, malls etc. They offer special price for car park opposite Qpark at £18/day. That's good for us cheaper than London which cost us £50/day. Cons: The apartment living room lights are too dim, has widnow but locked and feel stuffy. Pros: we prefer service apartments for long trip with family.
