It was a good hotel, a bit basic, rooms (in the hall part of the hotel) need updating; not sure of the others. The restaurant good. The breakfast was good but a bit busy on one of the days.
The hotel facilities need attention. TV remote not working, the team couldn’t get it fixed easily; not ideal.
The hotel is dated and the floorboards creak everywhere.
Feels I bit like and old persons nursing home.
But the staff were excellent, every single one of them.
Stayed in a double suite… nice enough but that ain’t not suite. We had supper in the Lakeside restaurant on site which was good and reasonably priced but it was cold in the room and the food took ages to arrive… even though I only had a Caesar Salad !!
Anyway, we decided not to bother with breakfast but check out as well as check in was faultless.
The Spa / leisure club were quite simply dismal. The pool was Arctic cold, changing rooms “snug” and loungers awful.
Hotel is modern and clean. Rooms very spacious and comfortable quality bedding. Large bed. Shower and bathroom clean and modern. Nice touch with bottle water and hospitality tray.
Breakfast was TERRIBLE. Food run out, waiting lengthy time for restock, tables dirty, poor selection of tea, milk (non dairy) and breads.
Continental platter was ham and cheese- embarrassing!
No eggs for 20 mins. Plates burning hot, sausages. Really cheap and didn’t even taste like sausage! Worst breakfast ever eaten in a hotel.
Shame as the rest of hotel was good in every way.
We booked a hotel for one night. The initial price seemed quite good, but it was quite annoying to find out that there was a lack of transparency. They didn’t mention that the car park had an extra charge of £7. Additionally, on Trip.com, breakfast was available for an extra £14, and it was stated that kids under four years old eat for free. When the receptionist asked if we wanted breakfast, we said we would decide in the morning, and she didn’t mention anything further. However, we found out in the morning that breakfast cost £16. Had we decided the night before, it would have been £13, but they also asked for an additional £5 for the kids. Furthermore, the receptionist wasn’t very friendly. Also swimming pool was closed.
I stayed here alone for business. It was a good location for me as I was driving somewhere the next day, but this hotel didn’t seem to be near anywhere so you couldn’t walk to a town or anything.
The room was nice, and comfortable.
The swimming pool was ok but the larger hot tub was cold in temperature in my opinion. I also didn’t like that the lockers in changing rooms needed a padlock to be used. As a hotel guest I don’t make a habit of carrying a padlock with me for use in a situation like this. So I had to carry all my stuff into the pool area rather than leave in the locker room.
The bar could definitely do with a face lift to make it a nicer place to sit in an evening, especially as there isn’t really anywhere else to go. The food I had was ok at best, breakfast was also good.
Superior location. The hotel has good facilities. In front of the gate is the river. It's safe, too. I do a lot of running in the morning. Next to it is a new shopping mall. Later, I found that there are many noodles to eat. You can also see the scenery outside. Very good.
A hotel in the suburbs, the environment is quiet and beautiful, but the front desk service attitude is average. They arranged a room for us at the door of the corridor. It was noisy when people passed by in the morning. In addition, parking is charged.
Great location. A very nice spa. The hotel room is unfortunately quite old, the shower was cold, the bed was uncomfortable and the walls are very thin making it hard to sleep.

The environment is invincible. In the golf course, all directions are lush, large areas of grass and forest, and the decoration is elegant. Breakfast and dinner are good, the price is reasonable, and the service attitude is good. It's some distance from the core of Cotswolds, but it's easy to get to Bath at high speed. The bad is that the rooms, especially the bathrooms, are too small, there is no elevator, the stairwell is very narrow, it is inconvenient to bring large luggage, and this hotel allows pets. There are dogs barking in the next few rooms at night

HHongThe hotel service was good and the staff members were helpful! But somehow my booking via Trip.com changed to ticket.com for an unknowns reason that led to double charge of my booking. In the end, the staff members helped sorting out the issue.

YYee11I had an amazing stay at De Vere Cotswold Water Park. The hotel went above and beyond by decorating the room beautifully and providing thoughtful gifts for our anniversary, making the experience truly special. The serene location with stunning views of the lake added to the charm. The excellent facilities, including the indoor pool, spa services, jacuzzi, steam room, gym, bar, and restaurant, made the stay incredibly relaxing and enjoyable. Every aspect of the experience was thoughtfully designed for comfort and luxury. Highly recommend for a romantic getaway or a peaceful retreat.
GGuest UserFrom outside looked scruffy and uncared for inside was fine althoug8evening meal was
a little fragmented and confusing not helped by one of the group moving the nameplaces around
Some guests tried it on complaining their food was inadequate but in fact most of us found the food was really nice and to top it top it all we all got a substantial reduction in price. The management redeemed themselves entirely. Would I stay again, yes we would as we think it is a work in progress.
