A hotel that's definitely seen better days! Staff were pleasant and the room had everything we needed, even a lovely massive cobweb on the inside of the window!šŸ˜‰ Plenty of hot water and lovely clean towels. Breakfast was plentiful and for a day or two was okay. For the prices you pay it offers good value, I'd stay again šŸ‘

The place was amazing and situated in a great place. Very near to a lot of amenities like bars and restaurants plus some shops. The staff were amazing and so polite. We was made to feel like we was at home. Our room was huge and had a great view of the gardens. Breakfast was outstanding and very tasty highly recommend. We will definitely be staying here again in the future

This was the second time my husband and I stayed at this luxurious new resort style hotel in/near Windermere. It was part of a longer trip, and again we stayed in the posh Winander Suites keyed access building. Breakfast is great as you get to eat from both the breakfast buffet, and also order hot food from the menu. The staff here are always 10 out of 10 excellent for both in the spa and the hotel itself. A couple of them even remembered us from the year prior! It's great having so many dining and drinking options on site... one never really needs to leave. I really enjoy the keyed access for the Winander and additional for the room hallways. There is parking on site and a guard at the gate. I know we will continue to visit here for many years to come!

I was a little worried after reading the reviews, but everything was fine after checking in. The room was large, the hot water was good, and the location was very convenient. The only shortcoming was that there was no information from the hotel before arriving, which was puzzling. I had to actively find a way to contact the store to inform me. It would be perfect if this could be improved. However, this price is considered cheap here, so there is no need to worry about no one booking. Hi!

Upon arrival there was nobody at the front desk so I waited. The woman I was somewhat greated by was far from pleasant and didnā€™t seem like she wanted to be there at all. Nothing was explained and no information leaflet for me to read through in my own time. When given my room key I started walking through the lobby but couldnā€™t see any signs for my room number. Went back to the desk to ask where to go for my room and was told ā€˜just follow it roundā€™. Very unhelpful and unwelcoming, not sure this lady should be at the face of the hotel. Plus side, room was beautiful and well kept/clean. I was also lake side so got to watch the sunrise with my morning cuppa. Very refreshing views.

GGo-RavGood hotel in Kendal. Hotel has facilities like pool, gym and sauna. It has good restaurant and a separate pub. They also have two banquet halls which are mostly busy for events. Hotel is situated in a hill and their parking in spread in 3 layers. Surrounding views are beautiful of mountains. Rooms were spacious and comfortable.

GGuest UserThe room was very nice, with swan bath towels. The environment was nice, between two towns, with the bus station just outside. The shop was run by a couple, the breakfast was delicious and the quantity was large, so make reservations in advance. A good stay experience.

GGuest UserStayed here several times, even a couple of times when they had only just re opened following each of the Covid lockdowns and always enjoyed, had a fab welcome and the rooms are clean. Not saying its perfect for everyone as some of you will not be a fan of the gold and red decor in the rooms , reception and corridors. But its not shabby its just old fashioned. The bathrooms are moden and the bar and restaurant have had a face lift with a not ultra moden colour scheme of cream and blue but it suits the building style. Dont expect spa, gym or pool and dont expect room service or cocktails. But you will always get a warm and friendly welcome and service. The setting is off the beat and track , but worth finding this gem, at the side of the woods , with stream running over waterfall and rock oh and keep your eyes peeled for red squirrels. Food is good at breakfast though no veggie sausages which some did complain about, food is good value in the evening though a limited choice of 4 starters 4 mains and 4 puds including a veggie option. Yorkshire portions for the main and loads of veg. Bar prices higher than pub prices but not that bad for a hotel.

LLisaStayed in one of the 4 garden cabins. Each are angled in such a way that they are all private. Each has its own hot tub and log burner. The cabin was cosy at night and well maintained. The cabin has WiFi, a tv, tea/coffee station, sofa and ensuite. Towels are provided for the bathroom plus separate towels, a robe and slippers for the hot tub. Breakfast was buffet but included hot self-service english breakfast items. I have to give credit to the person on reception when I checked in who greeted me with a smile and was friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back.
