This accommodation was excellent. for us.It was situated in a tiny village with only one local pub, which was ideal for us. Cambridge is only 10miles away. The host was very friendly and welcoming. The Lodge was beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. A nice touch was a plate of fairy cakes and a jar of cookies to welcome you. There was also a jug of milk in the fridge. The bed was sublime. Extremely soft and comfortable. I normally only manage 3-4 hours sleep daily, but on our two night stay i slept right through both nights. Breakfast was a full English delivered to our door, and it was delicious. I can't recommend this place and it's host highly enough. If I'm visiting the area again Thorn House will definitely be my first choice.

Exceeded expectations! This is my second time in the UK, and this hotel offered the best value for money, facilities, and surrounding environment throughout my trip. I'll definitely be staying here again for my child's summer camp. This hotel is located in a new, clean, safe, and quiet community developed in Cambridge over the last three years. Directly across from the hotel is a University of Cambridge primary school, and just 50 meters away are the U1 and U2 bus stops. These lines take you from the train station, passing museums, Queen's College, and all the popular colleges (Cambridge has over thirty colleges, big and small!). You can bring luggage on the bus, and it costs around 3 pounds, payable conveniently with a contactless credit card. The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels provided, and complimentary drinking water and coffee/tea bags were restocked. The hotel offers room service with a detailed menu, and prices ranging from 9.9 to 28 pounds. The garden-style restaurant and courtyard downstairs are beautiful, perfect for a relaxing stay, especially with the long daylight hours in July and August in the UK. There's a large supermarket conveniently located across from the hotel, perfect for all your shopping needs.

The breakfast is good, but water problem (no hot water) at night which i was quite disappointed.

Been 3 times now. The hotel is a great place for a relaxing break. The spa facilities and pool are lovely and it was a bonus to enjoy the waterside outdoor area in the warm weather. Very comfortable bed and nicely furnished room. Good to find a fan in the wardrobe! The breakfast food was of good quality but the arrangements were a bit disorganised this morning. Crockery etc was hard to find/ missing, clearer labels were needed e.g a label on the hot water container and soya milk labelled correctly. It was called ”oat milk”. The bar menu is a bit limited in my opinion. Just little details but the overall experience was very good. Sure I'll be back.

The Ashley Hotel is conveniently located north of the city center, very close to Cambridge University, making it easy to get around. It boasts pleasant surroundings, a full range of well-maintained facilities, and excellent service. Overall, it offers great value for money.

I stayed in Holiday inn during March in room 046. It was a very clean room on arrival with twin beds and a bigger than expected bathroom. It had a good shower with Dove washes. It was a 45 min walk from the Centre of Cambridge along Mill Road or you can get the No 2 bus that costs £3. It was a pleasant walk. The reception staff were very helpful and check in was quick. The room had a good temperature and it was cosy. The bed was very comfortable. The room had a kettle, TV and an iron. The breakfast area was very busy in the mornings. The hot breakfast was ok. The Coffee was Ok there were a range of pastries and muffins all Ok. There were a lot of poor behaved people with a lot of ill behaved children in the breakfast area. Overall I had a comfortable stay. The room itself was very quiet. The images provided are of the room and view from the window, the walk to the hotel. I hope they are helpful.

The room was clean, well-equipped, and the service was excellent. The most convenient part is that there's a large supermarket just a hundred meters to the right of the hotel entrance, where you can buy fruits, food, and more. There are also small restaurants nearby for pizza, coffee, etc., which is very convenient. Transportation is also excellent; the U1 and U2 bus stops are about 50 meters to the right of the hotel entrance, making it very easy to get to Cambridge city center, Cambridge railway station, and other places. I will definitely choose to stay at Turing Locke Cambridge again on my next visit to Cambridge.

While the hotel itself and rooms are fine. You have to pay extra for parking which is clearly just for capitalist gains as it’s on property. They advertise a pool (one of the main reasons we picked the hotel), which we were told on arrival has been closed for years, yet no thought to advertise this online was thought of? No instead they keep a picture of said swimming pool online when it would be a simple manner of taking one picture down to stop disappointment. They keep it up to attract visitors unfortunately. The water in the room for shower and bath simply did not go hot, but rather a low lukewarm. Breakfast also cost £15 which we opted not to do due to competition prices being so much lower for the same thing. Ultimately, it was a disappointing stay mainly due to their misinformation than the room itself.

The room is clean and hygienic. It is 3-4 kilometers away from the center of Cambridge. It can be reached by bus and it takes about 50 minutes to walk. The environment is good. The biggest problem is that the mobile phone signal is not good, especially the WiFi. Most of the time the signal is very poor or almost non-existent. Only one night the signal was OK

There was a polish lady at the reception - she was AMAZING! EXTREMELY helpful, friendly, professional. I have stayed in many hotels, also international and 5 star - and she is TOP! One of hte best receptionist I have ever come across. The others were so-so, sometimes unfriendly or not organized, but she made up for all their failures and was EXCEPTIONAL. The door to my room was faulty - so the cleaners never managed to go inside and clean my room while I stayed there for 3 nights, and not all cards worked - so cleaners jsut did not bother to go inside- which was disappointing. Also, the soap dispensers do not work well - very hard to get any soap out. - needs fixing properly.
