While visiting Qingdao, I decided to spend a day in Jinan and chose the Shangri-La. Before checking in, I called to confirm that my room was ready. The lobby is impressive, and the room was spacious, quiet, and well-equipped. The toiletries were excellent, and I particularly liked the eco-friendly bamboo toothbrushes and combs. The hotel is conveniently located opposite Quancheng Square, perfect for an evening stroll to watch the musical fountain. Baotu Spring is also within walking distance. There are plenty of malls nearby, and both takeout and dining options are easily accessible. The old city, however, is genuinely congested; it took almost 40 minutes to get to Jinan Station by taxi, and I barely made my train. The hotel also seems to offer intangible cultural heritage activities, but I didn't have time to participate. I would definitely choose this hotel again for a more leisurely trip to Jinan.

The experience was fantastic, absolutely top-notch! **Location:** It's less than a 10-minute walk from Yongping Road Metro Station, and a taxi from Qingdao North Railway Station is just the starting fare. It's a great choice for a layover. **Service:** The staff were super awesome, very enthusiastic and attentive. **Amenities:** The room was very spacious, and the bedding was super comfortable. It was the best night's sleep I've had since arriving in Qingdao. Even the toiletries smelled great – I loved the toothpaste, and the shower gel smelled really good too. Breakfast was incredibly rich and delicious. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit!

The whole process was seamless. I paid to upgrade to a sea-view room, and it was a true oceanfront room. Opening the floor-to-ceiling windows revealed the entire sea, with an unbeatable panoramic view. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly, and the soundproofing was excellent. I slept soundly until morning, lulled by the sound of the waves, and all my travel fatigue simply melted away. The facilities were well-maintained, the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the toiletries were of high quality; attention to detail was evident everywhere. The buffet breakfast offered a rich variety, and the freshly cooked local specialty noodles tasted authentic, plus the freshly squeezed juices were delicious. The hotel's location is superb, just a few minutes' walk to the beach. Strolling along the coast in the evening, enjoying the sea breeze, was incredibly relaxing. The heated pool and gym facilities were also comprehensive, making for a truly immersive vacation experience. Five-star rating, I will definitely choose this place again on my next visit!

Just checked out of the Crowne Plaza Qingdao Ocean Spring Resort, and this 3-day, 2-night 'lie-flat' vacation was truly therapeutic. We didn't have to rush to any attractions, making it perfect for families with kids or those looking for a quiet escape. The hotel has a European castle style, and the high-ceilinged lobby with a crystal chandelier immediately sets a holiday mood upon entry. We were lucky enough to get a complimentary upgrade to a sea-view room. The room itself was generously sized, but the real highlight was the large balcony. Stepping out, you're greeted by an unobstructed view of Aoshan Bay. We enjoyed watching the sunrise from bed in the morning and the sunset over the sea in the evening – simply an amazing view. While some areas of the facilities showed a bit of age, the overall cleanliness and tidiness were quite good. Downstairs, there's a beach where you can wade in the water or dig in the sand – the kids absolutely loved it. There's also an outdoor children's swimming pool, and hotel guests have unlimited access. Next to it, there's a small petting zoo, where feeding the animals easily fills up a whole day.

Our two-night stay in a junior suite at the Westin Qingdao exceeded our expectations! A special shout-out to Nini at the front desk – her service was thoughtful and attentive, check-in was efficient, and she patiently addressed all our requests. Her warm service was truly appreciated. Housekeeper Aunt Liu Cuihe also deserves praise; she kept our room spotless, clean, and tidy, paying attention to every detail. We also used the hotel's pool and gym, both of which were well-maintained, clean, and comfortable, making for a relaxing swim and workout. The junior suite was spacious and well-laid-out, providing a quiet and comfortable stay. Overall, the service was excellent, and the facilities were well-maintained. It was a wonderful accommodation experience, and we'll definitely choose the Westin Qingdao again when we return to Qingdao. Highly recommended!

This newly opened Hampton by Hilton boasts a very convenient location, close to the subway station with an abundance of dining options nearby. Pizza Hut, McDonald's, and convenience stores are all easily accessible, along with many other restaurants of varying sizes. The old Qingdao specialty restaurant next door serves particularly delicious food. The room was very clean, the bedding was neat, and the facilities were brand new. The front desk staff, Yulia, was friendly and promptly addressed any requests. The breakfast offered a good variety of dishes, catering to both Western and Chinese tastes, and the freshly cooked noodles were very popular. Staying here made our trip very hassle-free. Five-star rating!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Mövenpick Hotel, as the decor, service, and dining all offered exceptional value for money. Upon arrival, the welcoming receptionist kindly upgraded me to a generous room. To my pleasant surprise, the hotel also provided complimentary welcome amenities, including beer, soft drinks, and fresh fruit. seasonal fruit. The room itself was spacious, spotlessly clean, and equipped with convenient smart-room controls. Additionally, the personalized housekeeping service managed via WeChat was both attentive and highly efficient. The daily buffet breakfast and evening light bites were equally impressive and delicious. However, I did encounter a couple of drawbacks: Location: As a non-driver, the hotel's location proved somewhat inconvenient, requiring me to rely entirely on taxis to get around. Smoking Policy: I was concerned to see guests smoking in common areas, particularly while waiting for the elevators. This inevitably forced fellow guests and staff to inhale secondhand smoke. Furthermore, placing large ashtray stands beside the elevator banks on every floor implicitly encourages this behavior. I strongly encourage the management to consider implementing a smoke-free policy in all indoor public spaces for the health and well-being of both guests and staff.

The hotel is nowhere near as luxurious as the pictures suggest. It looks quite old in person, even for a relatively new hotel. It has a very dated feel. All of the deluxe king rooms are located near the runway, and the sound of planes taking off is incredibly loud. There's no way you'd get any sleep at night. I eventually asked the front desk to change my room to a twin room on the terminal side, which was much quieter. The layout and size of the twin room were quite suitable. Although the hotel has a dedicated tunnel connecting directly to the airport, it's a very long walk, about 10-15 minutes. Personally, I don't think the deluxe king room is worth over 400 yuan at all. The room felt cramped and old, and the bedding had a smell, possibly of disinfectant.

This hotel is located in Huangdao District, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, making it perfect for guests who prefer a quieter environment without large crowds. The indoor pool is spacious and well-lit, with depths ranging from 0.8 to 1.3 meters, which is great for families and those learning to swim. The beach is a mere 3-minute walk away. It's a public beach, not a private one, so swimming isn't recommended. However, it's fantastic for clam digging, playing in the sand, and wading in the water in the mornings and evenings. It offers a more private beach experience compared to the crowded public swimming beaches, making it an ideal compromise. There are also water sports facilities operated by third parties on the beach, offering additional options. The hotel features a resident band performance in the evenings, which can be enjoyed directly from the outdoor terrace dining area. I recommend booking a room with a terrace so you can dine and drink while listening to the music. Alternatively, a sea-view room with a balcony also offers a good view. The hotel also has an outdoor mini zoo with cute animals like miniature horses, which is a fun attraction for both adults and children. The breakfast is decent, meeting the standard for a five-star hotel. This room type offers excellent value for money, so remember to book in advance during peak season. By the way, a little heads-up: Qingdao is under a fishing ban throughout July and August, so there's no such thing as ”freshly caught seafood” during this time. Most seafood is frozen or imported from other regions. Friends, be wary of false advertising from some seafood stalls.

The best place for a calm vacation on a beach for a affordable price. This was a nice little hotel standing right in front of a beach. The placement can be seen as perfect as this large beach is wonderful itself and much better then the beaches at the city center. The only inconvenience to consider when choosing this or nearby hotels is lack of cafes and restorans nearby, so you'd better take breakfasts in the hotel, they were not bad, tasty and very filing, with serveral options to choose from. For other places to eat, except for a two nearby costly restorans, you'll have to wark to find one about 1-1,5 km or more. If you want to spend more time in the city center consider also the time to travel to it, about 1,5 hours on a bus, 30-50 minutes on taxi. The service was decent, even though stuff does not speak english they were very welcome and supportive, helping me and calling taxi a couple of times when I needed it. The hotel itself is clean. The room was cleaned daily, not perfectly as the floors in the room stayed a bit dusty all the time but that was not too much of an issue. The bedding was always clean, towels were clean as well and changed daily. I have to say a few words about the beach and the see themselves. The beach is large and clean, there are trash bins which are cleaned daily. It have a sand of very good quality, indeed of a golden color. The beach longs for several kilometers and is from about 150 meters wide to 200+ meters wide depending on the tides. The beach is shallow but no too much, you can easily walk to a place where you can swim freely. It was August and the water was extremely warm and cozy. It was clean with little human made trash coming from the see, but due to temperature the water near the shore start blooming on a second or third day of my stay there. I had to walk 10-15 meters in a 50-80 centimeters deep water full of seaweed before I come to clear waters. I bit unpleasant but not a big deal. There were some jelly fish coming the shore, the see doesn't have dangerous ones though. The beach has some infrastructure, at least there is a place to wash your hands and legs and there are public toilets nearby the beach, but there are no safeguards on it. With an chinese specifics I would say that's a plus as they are too restrictive and protective here.
