We absolutely loved the Yangshuo Ancient Garden Hotel. Sofia at reception spoke perfect English and was incredibly helpful with her advice on where to visit. The hotel is about 15 mins from the centre of town (West St) - just an AUD$3.50 DiDi ride (loads of DiDi cars everywhere). The hotel and its grounds are in the rural countryside, sitting amidst the beautiful karst hills. The room itself was super clean and beautifully appointed. This is an exceptional 4 star hotel. You don’t need 5 stars when you have such a wonderful hotel and it’s setting. Don’t be alarmed by the rustic entry from the street. Once you are through the front gates, you will not be disappointed. We used the free bicycles from the hotel to ride along the river to the Dragon Bridge. The views of the karst hills next to the river and the rice fields were exceptional. This was one of the experiences that we will treasure. It was absolutely worthwhile staying in this fabulous in Yangshuo for a night after the river cruise from Guilin (we have been to many places in the world and the scenery along the river was the absolute best that we have ever seen - take a 4 star boat and you will also have memories to last a lifetime). The room was extremely clean and large - we had a family room with a massive king bed and a queen bed). Bathroom was really nice. Free drinks in the room’s minbar. Good breakfast was included, along with afternoon tea. There’s a good sized pool. Catch a DiDi for about RMB160 back to Guilin. Save yourself the trouble of looking for another hotel in Yangshuo. We highly recommend this hotel for a memorable experience.

Our stay at LS Hotel was truly unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, Victoria and Rong went above and beyond to take care of everything for us. The service was on another level, friendly, warm, and incredibly efficient. They arranged shuttle transfers everywhere we needed to go, helped us plan activities, and even secured great discounts for shows, viewpoints, and quad bike tours. The attention to detail was amazing! One of the highlights was the beautiful surprise they prepared for my girlfriend’s birthday delicious cakes and a beautifully decorated room. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made the moment even more special. The room was spotless, the views from the hotel were absolutely breathtaking, genuinely one of the most unique and stunning landscapes we’ve ever seen. The whole place feels magical. The team responded instantly to every request, and even after we left, they arranged to send back a piece of clothing I forgot, truly unbelievable service! If you’re coming to Yangshuo, you must stay here. Incredible hospitality, stunning views, and an experience we will never forget. Breakfast was so lavish it felt like a full meal, featuring freshly baked bread, local specialty snacks, made-to-order omelets… every bite was a delight for the taste buds. Dinner at the hotel's main restaurant featured fresh ingredients and exquisite presentation, and combined with the stunning night view outside the window, truly maximized the romantic ambiance! We stayed at this hotel for just one night and we didn't regret our choice for a second. It was a wonderful decision! We chose a room with a bathtub by the window specifically for the stunning view of the forest and river it offered – absolutely breathtaking. We loved everything about the room: the air conditioning was a lifesaver in the heat, and the orthopedic mattress and pillows were so comfortable (a special thank you for that!). The room was spotless, and everything was in perfect working order. The front desk staff are wonderful people! Communication was tricky without knowing Chinese, but every single employee was incredibly friendly and tried so hard to help us, using translators with patience. A huge thank you for your help with AliPay – we had a payment issue, and the administrators solved it for us. Furthermore, one of the front desk ladies helped us book exactly the tour we needed. Since the standard tours didn't suit our specific route request, she went out of her way to help us organize everything. We had breakfast included, but we had to leave too early to enjoy it. So that we wouldn't go hungry, the incredibly thoughtful staff offered us croissants and milk! We also made great use of the coffee machine in the lobby. Thank you so much to the hotel for such a comfortable and memorable stay! We highly recommend it.

This is a great hotel, and if I ever return to Yangshuo, this will be the place I will stay. Very clean, great location which is close to the downtown area, but not so close it's annoying. The service and attitude of the staff are excellent; they are all friendly and helpful. The pool area is absolutely beautiful. The included breakfast is ok, but there are times when there aren't enough seats for all of the guests. I wouldn't say the food is bad, but you won't take pictures of it to post online. Let's put it that way. The pool is only open from 16:00 to 21:00 in July and August. The gym is very basic and it's in the lobby, so not a lot of privacy to do any form of exercise. I didn't see anyone use it. Overall, it's an excellent hotel. Just leaving some friendly feedback to help them improve, but I'd definitely recommend this hotel!

Where does one start? We were here for only 2 nights before we headed to Yangshao but would have liked to stay longer. The location is convenient, walking distance to the sun & moon and various restaurant/shops. The hotel is pristine. The rooms were excellent; clean, firm bed, fantastic shower, well equipped with the usual toiletries.... anything else was available from the reception. No need for the traditional kettle as there was an instant water dispenser for tea or other, varying the temperature as desired. It's very tech savvy, good for me but did need to explain to my elderly parents. There's a free laundry service, breakfast was just right with a diverse selection of offerings. The restaurant for dinner was good value with delicious offerings. Most of all, were the super helpful and friendly staff; from reception, breakfast service, dinner and housekeeping... they were faultless. I highly recommend.The hotel piccies are a true reflection of the rooms so not sharing but will post a picture of the Guilin famous beer fish dish, which was very yummy. ❤️

For our first stop in Guilin, we stayed at this city-center hotel. Though it's been open for several years, the facilities are very well-maintained. Our room was spacious, and we even received complimentary welcome fruit upon check-in. The location is superb, with everything easily accessible, and shared bikes are available right outside. The breakfast was plentiful, and the Guilin rice noodles were especially delicious. The front desk staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful.

The hotel is high-end and atmospheric, and the location is very good. It is right on the edge of the Yulong River. The viewing effect is excellent. You can see the beautiful scenery outside the window from the room. The view is very considerate. If you don’t know the route to the surrounding attractions, you can ask him and he will answer patiently. The hotel is clean and tidy, and the public area is relatively large, which is very suitable for leisure vacation.

The family room featured a space capsule that the kids absolutely loved. The room itself was spacious, nicely decorated, and the bedding was quite comfortable. The overall ambiance was cozy, though the property isn't particularly large. I'm unsure if it was the lighting or another issue, but the pool water didn't look sparkling clean. Parents should be cautious if children are swimming, as the pool's design seems a bit flawed and prone to slipping. Both the breakfast and afternoon tea were satisfactory; nothing spectacular, but perfectly adequate. Our main reason for choosing this place was its proximity to Moon Water Cave Scenic Area, making it convenient for family outings. Lansheng Bridge Pier was also just about a 10-minute electric scooter ride away. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The front desk attendant even provided complimentary tickets for the children's activities, which truly added to our positive experience. Overall, the guesthouse is quite good.

The stay in my hotel was the best one I had so far in china! I arrived really exhausted and the driver who picked me up was really kind! He even took me to get noodles first since I was so hungry! That really cheered me up. The room itself was just stunning! It was very clean and detailed. The bed was comfy, the washing machine so practical! But the view was the best. I never felt so comfortable in a room ever, I didn’t want to leave. Also, it was very nice location since it was close to the green Shili gallery but also not too far from west road. I would recommend this hotel to everyone, seriously I am normally not that convinced! The breakfast was also really good, it was Chinese and very interesting to taste! I loved it. 11/10 for me :)!
