The hotel is located in the heart of Chongqing, which made it incredibly easy to visit the most important attractions of the city by foot. The hotel staff is very friendly and they do their best to help you as much as possible. Moreover, when you arrive, they provide you with helpful information about tourist attractions and restaurant recommendations. The only downside is the wait times for the elevators, but they warn you about most busy times for the elevators. All in all, I recommend this hotel to anyone trying to make the most out of their stay in Chongqing.

I had a great stay at this hotel- the room is very comfortable, and it’s easy to communicate with the friendly staff (through WeChat). They were very responsive and quick to attend to any needs. The location is very convenient too. Please do keep in mind that they don’t have laundry services or hotel breakfast. I think they do have drinks/snacks(?) available at the reception but I didn’t have the time to check that out. However, I was a little worried about the cleanliness of the bathroom (shower area). Moreover, I felt a few concerns in regard to safety, as it’s a big building with different hotels on each floor, and a keycard is not required to get onto any floor of the building.

Great views from the room. Really nice to have the ”at home” amenities like washer and fridge and mini-kitchen while out traveling. The location is great too! Really close to food streets and shopping.

This is a lovely hotel. Actually I was given an upgrade that was very much appreciated. I marked the hotel low on amenities because the WiFi was as good as useless; I had to send voice messages to my wife because voice was terrible. And in addition I missed not having a drinks bar & snack for the evening. Oh one last thing, I wanted to use the pool but was told I need a swimming cap; I have very little hair & couldn’t be bothered looking for one in the shopping malls. On a very very positive note, when leaving I had a problem book a DD taxi through Alipay. Zoe on reception was attentive & even paid on her account (her paid her cash) to get me going & on time for a booked train. David Li working as the guests arrived & left was super helpful too Actually I found that all Chinese people I had contact with were helpful

The service here was great! Literally had the butler attending to my every needs and wants. Didn’t need to go downstairs to collect my delivery etc.. Kudos to 图图 for making sure we felt at home. The laundry service was also a godsent 🤣 Hopefully will have microwave and that the air conditioner won’t be centralised in the future though. Location wise was just less than 5 minutes walk to the 解放碑 and food is easy to get. PS : Love the giant tub!

I woke up feeling very unwell on the 2nd night of our stay. When my husband mentioned to the restaurant staff that I was feeling sick and couldn't eat, they kindly delivered a bowl of noodles and a bowl of congee up to the room. Later on while having our room serviced, 何腊梅, having seen that I was unwell and throwing up, gave extra room supplies and towels to make me feel more comfortable and at ease. 何腊梅 phoned the restaurant and asked for a hot ginger beverage to be sent up to the room. Very soon after drinking the hot beverage, all the nausea left me and I felt completely revived. Thank you to all the staff who took care of us, especially 何腊梅.

I booked Novotel Chongqing Airport for an overnight stay before my early morning flight, and it was absolutely perfect. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to and from the airport, which made the trip incredibly stress-free — it only took less than 5 minutes to get to the terminal! The room was spacious, very clean, and had an amazing bathtub with strong water pressure — a real treat to relax in before a long flight. I also stayed on the 12th floor and enjoyed a beautiful view of the area. Despite my short stay, everything was extremely comfortable — the bed and pillows were cozy and inviting. The check-in process was smooth, and the hotel felt very safe and secure. Although I didn’t try their breakfast, it’s great to know they offer early services for those who need it. For anyone catching an early or late flight in Chongqing, I can’t recommend Novotel Chongqing Airport enough — it’s comfortable, convenient, and provides that last bit of relaxation before traveling!

My recent stay at Iseya Hotel was simply amazing. The hotel’s location at Chao Tian Men is unbeatable – it offers a stunning view overlooking the iconic Qian Si Men Bridge, which was a highlight in itself. We booked the Duplex room, and it was perfect for our family of four, including two young children. The room was spacious, super clean, and thoughtfully designed, with a comfortable sofa that made the space very livable and practical for families. What truly stood out was the exceptional service from the hotel staff. From the chambermaid to the receptionist, everyone was incredibly friendly, professional, and polite. A special mention goes to 橙子, a receptionist who delivered impeccable customer service. When I mistakenly went to the wrong location for the Chongqing 1949 Theater, she took the initiative to personally call the theater staff and help me sort things out. Her attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile made me feel genuinely valued and appreciated. Overall, our experience in Chongqing was made even better thanks to Iseya Hotel. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city – especially families looking for comfort, convenience, and outstanding hospitality.

The hotel is at a very strategic location which nearby a lot of attractions and the room is very spacious and clean. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They provide us mineral water whenever we request. There are free ice cream provided at the hotel lobby. On the last day of our stay due to we need to rush for early train, we unable to have the breakfast at their restaurant, the staff actually prepared us bread and milk to take away so we won't be starving in the train. Need to give thumbs up for staff with 工號 no.1 and no.7 who went extra miles to help us. Our TaoBao parcels were unable to reach on time when we checking out the hotel, both of them help us to track and arrange for delivery service to send to our next hotel. Would definitely stay here again next time if we come back to ChongQing!

GGaryWe stayed at The Regent for two nights and are very happy with the experience. At check-on, June and Nicole were patient with our inefficient Putonghua while introducing hotel services and facilities in details such as pool's open hour, whether swimming cap is included and the complimentary mini bar and laundry etc. The hotel is beautifully designed with dark wood rendering a sense of serenity and elegance. Our rooms enjoy captivating views of the river and Hongya Dong. The interior of the room aligns the design of the hotel with aesthetic details such as red tissue box, red stationery box, collateral with soft floral illustration. The bed is very comfortable, the firmness of the mattress is just rigjt. The hotel offers a range of amenities for our convenience which is thoughtful. The complimentary mini bar included soft drinks, white wine, beer and snacks, a very nice offerings..Each room received complimentary laundry of 3 pieces of basic garment which suit our needs. We enjoyed the complimentary special bath as well, rose bath and lemon bath, it is a fantastic gesture. We had breakfast at the Lounge, the buffet quality and selection were wonderful. The Chongqing XiaoMian was the star. The local breakfast specialities and the western choices were all tasty including the fried mackeral, steamed dim sum and the fresh salad. The hotel pool is nice, it is 25m and is indoor. The Regent is located in the financial district, adjacent to a shopping mall. There is a good variety of restaurants and local stores. The Concierge team is friendly and helpful I was not able to catch the team member's name but he has assisted us with our luggages and saw us off with a sincere smile. We had a very memorable stay!

JJENNY WAI LINGWe had a wonderful stay as a family with young kids! The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. The location was perfect for exploring nearby attractions, which made our family outings smooth and fun. One minor downside was that the toilet door didn’t have a lock, which made privacy a bit of a challenge—especially with young children around. While there weren’t specific kids’ amenities, the overall experience was very positive, and we felt truly welcome.

DDerickOverall, as stated by many other reviews, this hotel is the value-for-money champion. Personally, I would rate if a hotel were a real five star hotel or simply a 'self-proclaimed' five star hotel based on the service rendered. Le Meridien Chongqing excelled in this aspect. Every staff member I had interacted with was friendly and warm. Check-in: Was swift and unlike many chinese hotels which are distrusting of their customers, they did not ask for a deposit. Saves the hassle. Room: It was spacious, I had previously read some other reviews which complained about the red cupboard at the entrance was terrifying, but personally I liked the chinese style decor. The aircon was slightly noisy and not the most effective, but I liked sleeping in a slightly cooler room. The bed was comfortable, although one side seemed to be more 'slept in' than the other, possibly a sign of the hotel's age. I did also notice some stains and wear and tear in the room but it was nothing serious so I will let that slide. The greatest sign of wear and tear is the shower head, which although was Hansgrohe branded, felt like it was about to break when I tried to change the shower mode. Toiletries were from the Malin+Goetz brand, which I really liked! But of course, ThisWorks branded ones used by Marriott hotels are slightly better. Facilities: There was an indoor pool and a well-equipped gym- with a smith machine, something that is not available in some 5 star hotels. Impressive! Breakfast: This was the greatest let down in the stay experience. As I was going up the lift, I noticed a sign stating that breakfast was on promotion at 68RMB per person. That could not mean anything good. The breakfast experience was cut to the bone. There were almost no hot cooked food options, except from basics such as eggs, toast, cooked chongqing noodles(plain) and dumplings. There is simply no way that this acceptable as a 5 star hotel breakfast, something that seems to be mentioned by other reviewers. Other hotel restaurants- Not too sure why I bothered to try out the other hotel restaurants after the disappointing breakfast but, the chinese restaurant served food that was tasty, but the so-called ala-carte buffet was not great. The food options seemed like leftovers from another hotel buffet or something, and I counted a total of 5 pieces of beef when I ordered the dish 'black pepper beef'. Service was good and seemed well-intentioned though, although they seemed puzzled that I was not ordering more-- The food was not good! Location: Located in Nan'an, I had chosen this hotel as it offered better value for money than its 5 star competitors in JieFangBei or the Conrad. It was also located in front of a Rail Transit station although I only used it once since the trains were crowded and it was quicker to grab a DiDi around. I think the biggest plus regarding its location is the adjacent Wanda Plaza, which had everything from a Sephora, Uniqlo and many other shops. I regretted not visiting it first before hopping on the train. To summarise, I would recommend a first time visitor to Chongqing to stay in this hotel, but would I visit it again? Perhaps not, as I would like to try out other options in Chongqing that are newer, and can provide better breakfasts.

GGuest UserThis is a serviced apartment and I booked 2 x two bedroom River view apartments for my family of 6. We are from the UK and Hong Kong. The apartment was very spacious 128 sq metres with big living room, dining room, kitchen, separate laundry room, master bedroom + en-suite and walk-in closet and 2nd bedroom with bathroom. The view of the river was amazing. The property is right by the riverside in a relatively quiet area and next door is a police station. Chongqing is a very heavily populated city and it was somewhat of a relief to come back to a more peaceful area. It’s very safe and behind the property about 10 mins walk up the stair route is a shopping district. Note: this is a serviced apartment and there are families who live here on a longer term basis. I didn’t notice any big tour group style guests either. It’s not a huge famous branded hotel, so you need to carry the name card and address of the property to tell the taxi drivers. The breakfast is a simple buffet style. More continental style with a few more hot add-ons like dumplings and eggs. You can also order takeout and the it will be delivered to your room via a robot! The front desk staff are very helpful although they don’t really speak much English. However, they do try to use a translation app and we were able to converse. They would give us recommendations on tourist hotspots and detailed explanations on how to get there by public transportation. The staff may not be so international, but they are friendly, helpful and kind hearted if you give them some patience. I must commend Nancy from front desk for helping me to courier a jacket which I left in the wardrobe after check-out. It was delivered back to my home in Hong Kong the next day. Much appreciation for her texting me in English and having such a helpful manner. I was able to use the washing machine/dryer for my laundry and found it thoughtful that they provided a sachet of washing powder. The appliances : fridge, microwave, washing machine, electric hobs are all good quality Siemens, Electrolux. Whilst the property is slightly dated, the decor of the rooms themselves are comfortable and clean and had the sense of quiet luxury. I would recommend that they put in a better quality of shower curtain to keep up with the rest of the decor. Rooms are cleaned daily and towels refreshed daily too. They don’t have cotton buds or cotton wool, toothbrush etc. in the bathroom trays like the do in normal hotels but the front desk do give you a set of toothbrush upon check-in. I believe this is something to do with an eco-friendly policy. My family members used the pool facilities in the mornings and found it to be big enough for a good swim. The only thing they were not used to was lack of a life-guard manning the pool and also the sauna and steam room were a bit dated. Overall, a very positive experience and good value for the price. It is like a home away from home and excellent for families who want to be together, yet also retreat to their own rooms.

Mmathew.pathI had a truly pleasant and wonderful stay at the Ashan Hotel. Situated right in the heart of the city, its location couldn’t be more perfect. The most notable feature of the room was the breathtakingly beautiful view — especially spectacular on Saturday nights during the drone show. During the day, you can see nearly all of Chongqing from the room, which adds to the experience. The room itself was expansive, beautifully designed, and filled with thoughtful amenities. It absolutely delivers value for the price. An unforgettable experience, and I would gladly return.

GGuest UserI have only positive things to say about this hotel and recommend it to anyone who is staying in Chongqing, especially those who want to explore the Shapingba area and/or be close to the Shapingba train station. It's about a 10 minute Didi/taxi ride away which made my commute really easy. I highly, highly encourage anyone to stay at this hotel! 1. It is newly opened (I believe October-December of 2024) and so it is very clean. It literally sparkles! Housekeeping is really good at keeping the room neat and tidy, which you can see from my pictures. I felt very comfortable staying there and of course, the decor was very nice! There is no smoke smell in the room due to it being newly opened. 2. It is a very quiet hotel. It is only one floor (floor 1 is technically the second floor on top of the lobby) to my knowledge and the other guests are pretty quiet. 3. The laundry room is extremely nice. It is very clean (no moldy smell) and the washer and dryer are separate, so it is very effective. There are two washers and two dryers and they provide laundry detergent and also an antibacterial wash if you need it. The laundry room is on the third floor and requires taking a different elevator to get there. Furthermore, the laundry room is in the same room as the gym but there isn't any heavy laundry smell that will disrupt your workout. There are also sinks, an ironing board, and a steamer (if I recall correctly) in the laundry room for all of your needs! The laundry machines are also quite advanced in the sense that you can adjust the temperature if you want; for example, I dried my clothes on low heat. Basically, all of the amenities are nice. 4. Finally, I have to say that the service provided by this hotel is top-notch. You can communicate all of your questions and such to them on WeChat and they reply promptly and so nicely. I checked out at around noon and a few hours later, while en route to my next destination via train, I texted them asking if they had seen a charger or anything of the sort left in the room as I had this feeling that I'd forgotten something. Not only did they reply immediately, but they even sent pictures of additional things that I'd forgotten, such as my slippers, that I didn't even think of. They helped to arrange a kuaidi (courier) to deliver my forgotten items to my next hotel and even helped arrange for express delivery so I could get it as soon as possible. They didn't charge any extra fees for this; all I did was pay the delivery fee for the courier. And when I couldn't track the progress of my order (just foreigner things), they sent me screenshots every time I asked for updates. Another time they helped me out was when I took the wrong elevator and was having trouble getting back up to my floor; I contacted them on WeChat and someone came to help me right away and explain what to do! This is a truly wonderful hotel with really caring staff. I highly recommend staying here!

AAlicia LaiI have been stayed at Orange Crystal Hotel for three nights, and it was an exceptional experience. This is a brand-new hotel with excellent facilities—everything is modern, clean, and well-maintained. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make both local(me) and international (my hubby)feel welcome and comfortable. One of the highlights was the attentive housekeeper, who was always polite and thoughtful. She even reminded us to take extra water whenever I was heading out. The location is also very convenient, with plenty of delicious restaurants just downstairs, making it easy to enjoy the local cuisine. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with my stay at Orange Crystal Hotel. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area!

GGuest UserExcellent customer service. We had issues with being unable to connect to the internet. 隆碎霞 helped us diligently to get the issue resolved. She provided different options to resolve the issue and was constantly in contact with us back and forth during the ordeal. She is truly an asset to the company. I also ran into her in the laundry area and she patiently explained things to me using the translator. The hotel has amazing views high above all the other buildings. The breakfast buffet has a large selection. Had pretty much everything except English tea bags. Which was actually available in the room, but not in the buffet. I was too lazy to go to the room to get it. Other than that, it has a superb variety, including Chinese and Western options. Afternoon tea had very sparse options. Some sweets, and fruit. Nothing to rave about, but appreciative to have. Room interior are spacious and well equipped. Personally I find it lacking quality finishes worthy of a 5 star hotel, but that is my personal preference. Especially having stayed at the JW next door the previous night. Beds are comfortable. There was a cute little tea pot set. Washroom can be an issue depending on the room type. First room, the washroom was enclosed with a shower, toilet and sink in the same room, separated by a dark frosted glass door. Second room, toilet and shower are in separate stalls with the sink on the outside. But, the glass partitions are opaque with no additional door separating the washroom area. This can be an issue sharing a room with friends and family. Also can be quite noisy if your partner is trying to sleep in while you're using the bathroom area. There are many spaces on the 57th floor for lounging and meeting up with friends. The design is modern, big and spacious. Signage to the hotel in the lobby is non existent. You have to take an elevator to the 44th floor. Then round the corner where you will see the signage for Pagoda. Staff will then ready a lift for you to the 57th floor for check in. This is my first time in a hotel with this kind of elevator set up. It is a bit troublesome to transfer elevators. But then it feels very private and exclusive when the elevator is dedicated only to us. Plus I feel it's actually faster without having to stop on the different floors to pick up other guests. Location is very ideal. Walkable to Hongya caves. Many shops and eateries near by. Pagoda is an excellent choice when visiting Chongqing.
