HHASKKI checked into the Regent Chongqing on Christmas Eve and experienced the festive romance brought by what I consider the pinnacle of Chongqing hotels.
🏨 Hotel Environment:
My stay at the Regent coincided with Christmas Eve, and the hotel was absolutely brimming with Christmas cheer, much livelier than my previous non-holiday visits. They had set up numerous Christmas trees, with the large ones in the lobby and various restaurants being particularly beautiful and photo-worthy. During dinner, there were even interactions with LinaBell and Santa Claus, creating a truly festive atmosphere.
Inside the room, a delicate Christmas cake and a greeting card were prepared. The next morning, I found a Christmas stocking filled with candies and cookies hanging on my door – the hotel truly put in a lot of thought with these small Christmas surprises.

I stayed in a Luxury River View King Room. Although the hotel has been open for quite some years, the room facilities are still well-maintained. The separate double vanity, river view bathtub, 2-meter king bed, full set of Le Labo toiletries, and Dyson hairdryer all made for a great experience. The river view was quite expansive; downstairs was Jiangbeizui Diamond Square, directly opposite was Yuzhong District, and from a side angle, I could glimpse Hongyadong, though it was quite a distance away.
🌟 Highlights:
Beyond the hotel environment, the Regent's service is largely the best in Chongqing. The day before check-in, the butler proactively called to inquire about my arrival time and needs. During check-in, they provided a detailed introduction to the hotel and its benefits (even though I booked through Ctrip, they recognized my IHG Diamond status and offered a member gift, a Le Labo lotion, though room upgrades and lounge access were not included). Since I was traveling with a child, the hotel also prepared a full set of children's toiletries in advance, which was very thoughtful. Additionally, the hotel offers services like 3 pieces of free laundry per person per day, a choice of bubble, petal, or lemon baths, complimentary mini-bar on the first day, and a butler closet, making for an extremely comfortable stay.
This stay also included two complimentary drinks vouchers for the Two Rivers Bar, which could be redeemed for cocktails, beer, soft drinks, etc., allowing me to experience the Christmas ambiance of the bar.
The hotel's dining options are also excellent. Breakfast is rich and delicious, especially the noodle station, which offers a variety of choices like Chongqing noodles and laksa. Robbins Grill on the 2nd floor is also considered one of Chongqing's top steakhouses, and the Two Rivers Bar on the 7th floor is a great spot for a relaxed drink. All in all, the hotel can cater to various dining needs during your stay.
🌉 Hotel Location and Transportation:
The hotel is located in the Jiangbeizui area of Chongqing, on the banks of the Jialing River, close to Qiansimen Bridge. It's separated from tourist attractions like Jiefangbei and Hongyadong in Yuzhong District by just one river, boasting a superior geographical location. It's a 30-minute drive to the airport and a 15-minute drive to Jiefangbei without traffic. Nearby, you can access Metro Line 6 and Line 5. You can also walk across Qiansimen Bridge to Hongyadong, making transportation very convenient.

QQingjiaowoqingfenggegeI was in town for a business trip and decided to try this hotel. From the moment I checked in, the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, which left a great impression. The accommodations were also excellent. Crucially, I had a great night's sleep (the first night was a bit noisy, but I realized after waking up that I hadn't closed the window; once shut, it was perfectly quiet). I will definitely continue to choose this hotel for my monthly business trips.

GGuest UserI highly recommend the UrCove by Hyatt hotel. It just opened in October 2025, so it's brand new with excellent facilities. The bedding and sanitization are top-notch, and the room is dry and tidy. The service is also exceptional. On the day I arrived in Chongqing, I was feeling very nauseous and unwell due to motion sickness. When the front desk learned that the twin room I booked wasn't ready, they upgraded us to a family room. My four-day stay was very pleasant. I did a lot of research before my trip because Chongqing is a tourist city, and many hotels have old facilities, dampness, and insects. Choosing this hotel was definitely the right decision. The only minor drawback is that sometimes you have to wait a bit for the elevators, as there are only two. It would be perfect if there were four. I highly, highly recommend it!

My first trip to Chongqing led me to choose the Shanshi Executive Suite Hotel (Jiefangbei Hongyadong Branch), and it far surpassed all my expectations!
📍Prime Location: The hotel is perfectly situated in the core business district of Jiefangbei, truly 'walkable to everything'. In just a few minutes, you can reach Hongyadong and Jiefangbei. It was incredibly pleasant to take a leisurely stroll back to the hotel after enjoying the night views. The subway station and taxi stands are all nearby, making transportation incredibly convenient.
🌃Stunning Views: The front desk staff was exceptionally thoughtful and arranged a high-floor room for me. Staying on the 35th floor, the massive window was like a living painting of the river and city nightscape! Sitting by the window at night, the lights of the two rivers were fully visible, and Chongqing's magical, three-dimensional night view unfolded right before my eyes. This experience alone was absolutely worth the room rate.
🏠Spacious and Well-Equipped: The room was very spacious, with a simple and modern design. The floor-to-ceiling windows made the entire space bright and airy. The gym had a full range of equipment, and the lobby was grand and comfortable, perfectly fitting the executive suite's positioning.
🍽Breakfast Delight: I must give a special shout-out to the breakfast! It offered a great balance of healthy light options (abundant salads, fruits, and yogurt) and local specialties—the Chongqing noodles tasted incredibly authentic! What was even more surprising were the exquisite desserts like durian mille-feuille, and the coffee quality was also excellent. Starting the day felt like a real treat.
💁Attentive Service: From the patient arrangements by the front desk to the meticulous housekeeping service, you could feel the hotel's dedication. For first-time visitors to Chongqing, this thoughtful service greatly alleviated any apprehension about an unfamiliar city.
Overall, this hotel almost perfectly met all a traveler's needs for 'location, views, comfort, and experience'. If you also want a Chongqing trip where you can enjoy the mountain city's night view from your room and explore the core attractions on foot, this is definitely the top choice! I've already recommended it to friends, and I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Chongqing.

SShironamiThanks for the wonderful five-day stay! I had such a comfortable and restful time. Every evening, the hotel would bring us various traditional sweet soups they brewed themselves, which was a lovely touch. Getting around was super convenient too; we just called for the shuttle service and they responded very quickly. I also tried the singing bowl healing session, which was a truly relaxing and peaceful experience. I loved waking up each morning, drawing the curtains, and being greeted by the healing view of the mountains and wild nature.
The third floor was relatively quiet, and we weren't disturbed by people soaking in the wild springs by the river, so privacy was well-protected.
Booking the complimentary travel photography service was quick and easy as well, and some of the fixed shooting spots produced really great photos.

GGuest UserThis hotel offers incredible value for money. The location is absolutely fantastic, right in the heart of everything. I read in a guide that first-time visitors to Chongqing should stay near Jiefangbei, and it's true – all the main attractions are super close. From the hotel, you can overlook Jiefangbei Square, and at night, the neon lights are a spectacular display of urban prosperity. Right outside, there are three long queues for popular网红 (wanghong/influencer-famous) shops, so you can grab a Tea Yen Hue Se (Chayan Yuese) every day. The room itself is pretty standard, and the sink being inside the room means getting ready can disturb your roommate. I was told breakfast was basic, but it actually exceeded my expectations; they had milk, bread, porridge, noodles, fruit, and yogurt. Plus, the panoramic view from the 29th floor made breakfast a truly pleasant experience.

Many foreigners stay here, and Ascott apartments are definitely reliable. The only minor downsides were some maintenance issues: the in-room TV signal clarity was very poor. When I asked the staff, they said it was part of a process, and that the issue had been ongoing for some time. Well, I saw previous comments about it, so it's quite unbelievable it hasn't been fixed yet. Also, the swimming pool roof had several leaks when it rained. Aside from those points, I was very satisfied, and it offers super high value for money.
