Hotel staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. The bell boy who helped me with bringing my luggages to the room was very friendly and helpful, spoke good English too. Though not all staff spoke good English, they tried their best to assist me. Their service standard is consistent throughout. The room and the toilet was spacious and clean. There were 4 restuarants that I could go to for breakfast. The Garden Lounge which served buffet breakfast has a wide selection of food and drink. Most importantly the food was yummy! I enjoyed looking at the beautiful garden with waterfall view as I was seated by the window during breakfast.

Ginza/Tsukiji Tokyo|0.49km from city center
Location of the hotel is excellent and is within close proximity to major establishments/shopping areas in the Ginza area. There is a convenient store (”Natural Lawson”) on the ground floor of the building. I booked the Standard Room with Queen Bed as I was worried that the Standard Room with Single Bed would be too cramped. I'm glad I made that decision. At about 20sq.m., the room is spacious and comfortable enough for one person but may be slightly cramped for a couple. Then again, hotel rooms in Japan tend to be small in general. Everything was clean and well maintained, and the amenities were sufficient. The lobby of the hotel is located on the 16/F of the building, and the guestrooms are located from 17/F up, so you get a very nice view of the Ginza area. I didn't try the breakfast on this trip, but I've heard nice things about that. Will definitely try that next time. Recommended.

We enjoy staying in the Imperial Hotel for number of reasons. Convenient location in Ginza, easy to get taxi from the hotel. The hotel staffs are helpful and efficient. The check-in process is smooth and the luggages delivered to our room very quickly. The room is spacious as we are staying in Junior Suite. I love their shower with strong water pressure. Regarding buffet breakfast, they have a great choice of food. Two of the mornings we need to queue to get table for buffet breakfast, but the 3rd morning there was no waiting at all, so it depends which days you visit Japan to avoid the crowd. Overall, I will stay in Imperial again.

When I booked online for the room, I stated very clearly no corner room, but when I discovered my room is nearly at the end, was a bit not happy. The location is 7 mins walk to suidoboshi station. But it's not very near to places like shibuya or Tokyo, a bit disappointed the single room is a bit small, but the milk lotion, liquid cleanser, face wash packet they provided is gd. A bit surprised they don't provide spoon but stirrer. The room is clean, and there is lawson at 2nd floor and laundry service at 7th level. I have taken video of the room but can't attach here, wasted. Near the suidoboshi station are some eateries. They provide one water bottle daily and clean the room daily which is good. If you preferred a clean room, this hotel is apt for u. The hotel provided airport limousine bus to airport but not vice versa

Tokyo Tower Area Tokyo|2.41km from city center
Our family trip to Tokyo was made much easier by this hotel—it was an excellent choice for us. They offer adjoining rooms and sofa beds, which gave us plenty of space and flexibility. The location is another big plus: set within a family-friendly park, it’s just a short walk to Tokyo Tower, great restaurants, and nearby subway stations. One thing to keep in mind: the elevators are split—floors 1–18 and 19–32 are served separately, and access to floors 18–32 requires a key card. So if you’re booking multiple room types, just double-check which floors they’re on to avoid any confusion.

Room and bed were very comfortable, immaculately clean and modern. 2 mins walk from train station, if you need lift access to train then a 6 mins walk, we had a stroller. Breakfast was a bit of a zoo, we went during Christmas, very busy! But tables were spacious so even though there were so many people you don’t feel cramped. Good variety of food selection. We had dinner at the Japanese teppanyaki restaurant. Delicious, especially the tuna salad. I found the lobby staff a little lack of personality, at check in, no mentioning of where breakfast will be, what time check out is. Just checked you in and that’s it, no personal notes in the room. When I expressed I’ve lost my phone at the shop in Tokyo, no sign of empathy (it was a western male staff) no gesture of helpfulness, very cold and robotic. This goes for concierge also, he is an older western gentleman, he needs to use Google translate also which is frustrating cause I could do exactly the same research with Google translate. Overall, hardware is solid, need to fine tune the staff, sprinkle a little bit of personality in them.

We traveled to Nagano Prefecture for 2 days from Tokyo and returned to stay at the Conrad again. This time, we switched to a bay view suite. The room was still spacious, and having two bathrooms was very convenient. The view remained impeccable, and the housekeeping staff did a thorough and clean job. We needed packing tape, and they delivered two large rolls, which was a very thoughtful touch ❤️. The documents we needed printed were also handled very well. We have a small suggestion: could the bathtub be replaced with a deeper model? The current one is too shallow, and taller people can't fully enjoy it.

Odaiba Tokyo|5.01km from city center
Overall, I'd give it 4 stars, mainly for the location and the night view, though the hotel's facilities are a bit dated. 🚃 Transportation (very convenient) Take the Yurikamome Line to Daiba Station, and it's a 3-5 minute walk to the hotel. You even get sea views along the way. Downstairs, there's an Airport Limousine bus that goes directly to Haneda and Narita airports, which is super convenient when you're traveling with luggage. 📍 Location & Surroundings This deserves high praise – it's right in the heart of Odaiba. You can walk to Fuji TV, Joypolis (Sega Amusements), and the Gundam statue at DiverCity. Aqua City is right downstairs, so dining and shopping are a breeze. It’s perfect for families with kids or young travelers. 🌉 Night View (highly recommended) I booked a room on the Rainbow Bridge side, and the night view of Rainbow Bridge and Tokyo Bay was truly amazing. Just sitting by the window and zoning out made it worth every penny. 🍳 Breakfast (average) The buffet offers a mix of Japanese and Western options, but nothing particularly memorable. The taste was just okay, and I felt it wasn't great value for money. 🏨 Facilities & Room (gripes) The decor is a bit old-fashioned. My biggest complaint is the hairdryer in the room – it's so old and weak; drying long hair was a real struggle. I hope the hotel replaces it soon. Other facilities were acceptable.

Tokyo Station/Nihonbashi Tokyo|1.35km from city center
Coming directly from Tokyo Station, you can access the hotel's exclusive elevator via the Marunouchi underground passage, which saves you the hassle of crossing streets above ground. Being on a high floor, the view of Tokyo Station with its busy trains passing by is quite spectacular. The room is small but exquisite, typical of Tokyo style. Breakfast was relatively simple, and at 2500 JPY for a child, it felt a bit overpriced.

[”1. **Unbeatable Location for Airport Travel**\nThe hotel offers direct limousine bus service to both Narita and Haneda Airports right from its doorstep, making airport transfers incredibly convenient – no need to lug heavy suitcases around. It's just a 3-minute walk to Tochomae subway station, with Shinjuku-Nishiguchi (West Exit) only 5-8 minutes away. Takashimaya, Odakyu Department Store, and Don Quijote are all within walking distance, making it super easy to shop for Sylvanian Families, Chanel, and cosmetics. Plus, there's a FamilyMart convenience store on the second floor, perfect for late-night essentials.”,”2. **Spacious Rooms, Especially for Tokyo**\nCompared to most compact Tokyo hotels, the rooms here are remarkably spacious, allowing you to easily open up a 28-inch suitcase. The newly renovated rooms come with multiple USB charging ports and modern amenities. High-floor rooms offer stunning views, perfect for overlooking Shinjuku's city nightscape in the evening. Soundproofing is excellent, completely blocking out street noise. The toiletries are high-quality, and the bathroom features a dry/wet separation design with ample supplies.”,”3. **Attentive Service and Comprehensive Facilities**\nThe front desk accepts Alipay, UnionPay, and WeChat Pay, making it very friendly for Chinese tourists. The 24-hour front desk offers free storage for large luggage, so you can shop for luxury goods without worry. The buffet breakfast offers a rich variety, including Japanese set meals, Western pastries, and fresh fruit. Executive floor guests also have access to an exclusive lounge with complimentary drinks and snacks all day. Shinjuku Central Park is right next to the hotel, perfect for a relaxing morning stroll.”]

Wonderful hotel that goes above and beyond for families traveling with children. The 7eleven in the hotel was the icing on the cake! Welcoming service at Front Office / Reception. I feel great to return back. I have stayed in this hotel for so many times and it’s always my top list to stay when i visit Tokyo. It’s my first time to have breakfast in Its Coffee Shop. The egg station is excellent and the chef handles the egg orders one by one with his patience. For the service side, I think the service team need to pay more attention as we stack our plates for a long time and the waiters didn’t “see” them even passed by quite few times. It was 5:30 PM in Otemachi, Tokyo, and a massive halo, like a holy light, enveloped the area, reflecting the silhouette of the world's most beautiful CBD on the glass facade of Otemachi Tower. Perched atop this magnificent skyscraper, Aman Tokyo, which stunned the world a decade ago, remains an unparalleled benchmark for modern city hotels. |The soaring 30-meter high atrium, crafted with washi lanterns, wood textures, and concrete and rock, creates a 'dry landscape' garden in the urban clouds. |The view facing the Imperial Palace is arguably Tokyo's most beautiful skyline (it ruthlessly trumps the already impressive view from the neighboring Bulgari). |While the ambiance at Arva, the Italian restaurant on the other side of the lobby, is superb, the food wasn't to my taste. I'd recommend the Aman Cafe on the first floor, a glasshouse enveloped by the 'Otemachi Forest' oasis instead.

The location is decent, situated in Shinjuku, but it’s not exactly in the heart of the busiest areas. If you’re planning to visit restaurants or shopping spots, be prepared for a bit of a walk daily. Tokyo Station/Nihonbashi Tokyo|1.84km from city center
My overall experience with this stay was quite complex, feeling more like a test of service management capabilities. On the first day, the room cleaning quality was noticeably below expectations. The wash area, countertop details, and some amenities weren't clean enough, and the bedding wasn't tidied properly. From a housekeeping management perspective, this felt more like a failure in process execution rather than an isolated incident, and it definitely affected my first impression. However, after I raised the issue, the hotel's recovery actions were prompt. In the following days, the room cleaning was significantly more standardized, with noticeable improvements in detail. This indicates that the hotel is capable of good service, but the initial day's execution standards simply weren't met. In contrast, Trip.com's service experience during this incident left a deeper impression. The customer service proactively followed up, communicated efficiently, and handled the situation professionally. They were able to push for problem resolution from a customer experience perspective, demonstrating a mature platform service system. This level of after-sales responsiveness is quite high among current online travel platforms. Overall Rating: The hotel's hardware and positioning are fine, but there's room for improvement in service consistency, especially regarding the first-day delivery standards of housekeeping management. Trip.com's coordination and service performance in this incident, on the other hand, highlighted the professional value of their platform.

Staying at this luxury hotel, nestled within a historic building at Tokyo Station, was an absolute delight. Both the facilities and services were outstanding. The shower and faucet in the room felt incredibly luxurious – a truly 'premium' experience. The hotel's long guest room corridors, with their wall sconces, created a wonderfully warm and inviting sense of depth. A major highlight was the hotel's breakfast and its setting. Served on the 4th floor, the breakfast offered a rich and diverse selection. The peaked, herringbone-patterned ceiling, with one side a wooden roof and the other a light-transmitting glass roof equipped with awnings, filled the space with bright, natural light, making for a truly comfortable start to the day.

Odaiba Tokyo|5.16km from city center
The Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba is clean, comfortable, and offers exceptional value. Firstly, the spacious 33-square-meter Grand Floor Superior Twin room felt quite luxurious for Japan. From the bedding to the room layout, everything was exquisite. Toiletries, mineral water, coffee, and tea bags were all provided. The lighting was bright, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered stunning views of Tokyo Bay. Secondly, the breakfast was abundant. The first and second floors offer buffet-style options (American and Japanese cuisine), while the 30th floor serves a sushi set meal. You can choose any of them; the dining areas are spacious, and the food is delicious and high-quality. Thirdly, Odaiba itself is worth exploring. Odaiba Marine Park and Fuji TV are within walking distance. A promenade directly connects the hotel to two large shopping malls, making shopping and dining very convenient. Fourthly, Odaiba Station is just a two-minute walk from the hotel. It's only about a 30-minute subway ride to Ginza. You can transfer to various subway lines at Shimbashi. Haneda Airport is particularly convenient, just 10 kilometers away. Fifthly, the service was meticulous and thoughtful. The front desk staff were warm and enthusiastic, and our luggage was delivered to our room. They even provided an electronic luggage scale. One minor drawback is that the hotel's pool is outdoors and can only be enjoyed in the height of summer. Also, there aren't any unique Japanese convenience stores nearby. The only regret is that as a JAL Hotels member, I didn't seem to receive any special benefits.

If you’re not into eating in restaurants, walk a few mins more to Matsuya or Mitsukochi Dept store, go to their B1 B2 and get the food there and head back to hotel to eat. Food will still be warm! Room is small, but the spaces are sufficient to open up luggages, and still move around. I would say the hotel set up the spaces amazingly, where you can put your items near the entrance instead of concentrated on the bed area, which I think it seriously helps a lot when you want to leave certain things that you doesn’t need for a few days there. My only minor complaint is an oddly placed metal plate on the door that seems purely decorative. It's quite sharp and could easily scratch you when you're going in and out with luggage, especially in summer. I've noticed similar decorative plates in other Montreal locations, but the edges on this one are particularly sharp.

The hotel is very big with the Main, East, North and Annex Towers. I booked a 3-night in July 26 in Annex Towers. The room is clean and very quiet and the aircon is also very quiet. This gave me a very good rest during my short stay. The staff are generally friendly. The train station is just across the hotel. This made travelling very convenient. There are several shops and restaurants in the hotel and prices are affordable. There is also a 7-Eleven on the second floor.

The location is great, very close to Shinjuku Station, making it super convenient for shopping at Yodobashi Camera, BIC Camera, and Keio Department Store. The self-check-in process is also quite easy. A major plus is that the airport shuttle bus goes directly to the hotel, and you can buy tickets and board the bus back to the airport right outside the hotel, with buses running every 20 minutes. The self-service luggage storage is also very convenient. The downside, which is common in Japan, is that the rooms are small. The service wasn't great, possibly due to the self-service nature which limits communication.

1. The hotel is about 300 meters from Kabukicho, making it very convenient for exploring Shinjuku. 2. Seibu Shinjuku Station is right downstairs, but keep in mind this is not the same as JR Shinjuku Station. JR Shinjuku is a bit of a walk, and Shinjuku Station itself is huge. It takes about 15 minutes to get from the hotel to board a train at JR Shinjuku. If you have a large suitcase, I'd recommend taking a taxi from JR Shinjuku or transferring to Seibu Shinjuku Station via another train, rather than walking. 3. The hotel rooms are quite small, typical for Japan. A double room consists of two beds and a nightstand, and you're at the door in about five steps. There's only enough space near the entrance to open a 26-inch suitcase, and once it's open, the door can't open completely (good for safety at night, but you'll have to squeeze out sideways). 4. Breakfast is good, but expect queues. 5. The lobby on B1 has a quiet area suitable for working.

There's also a skybridge directly connecting it to Takashimaya Department Store, making shopping and getting around incredibly convenient. The reception is located on the 20th floor, and all guest rooms are situated from the 22nd floor upwards. These rooms are noticeably more spacious than typical Tokyo hotels, with well-equipped bathrooms. High-floor rooms offer stunning panoramic views of the city's nightscape. The buffet breakfast, served in the scenic restaurant, receives rave reviews for its freshly made omelets, and caters to both Japanese and Western palates. The staff are warm and attentive, and the soundproofing in the rooms is excellent, ensuring a peaceful stay away from the city's hustle and bustle. This hotel is turning out to be my go-to as it is my second time staying there out of my 3 times visiting Tokyo. Very conveniently located, just a short 2 stops away from Tokyo station, and at the mouth of the vibrant and exciting Akihabara Electric Town, it was a cozy home away from home. This time round though, I was assigned a room on the 3rd floor, just off the reception and I was afraid that it would be noisy, but it was well off the main area so it was still fairly well contained. Room was as usual, cozy and comfortable and had a bigger desk area than my previous stay. Walking distance to Aikihabara, and many abd eateries, kobinis, and a minute away to Akihabara Station, really the location takes the cake. Nothing much negative to say, and definitely will be top of the list for subsequent Tokyo visits!

All the major popular shopping centers are within walking distance, making it incredibly convenient for shoppers. Right downstairs, there's also a direct airport bus stop with fixed daily schedules. This is super handy whether you have an early morning flight or a late arrival, saving you the hassle of transferring multiple times. The room amenities are just average, nothing particularly impressive, but its unbeatable location and affordable price more than make up for it. The overall value for money is exceptional! Though small, this hotel has everything you need. Its Ginza location is incredibly convenient, perfect for shopping or quickly getting to Narita Airport via the expressway. What truly impressed me is how many features are packed into such a compact space. They have a coin-operated laundry and a large public bath. The room, which I'd estimate at about 20 square meters, even managed to fit bunk beds (1.2m/1.5m), making it very family-friendly. A minor point is that since the hotel is directly above the subway, you occasionally feel vibrations as trains pass. This led to a funny moment when an actual earthquake hit at night, and I initially thought it was just another train going by!

The room I chose was spacious but the TV is facing the side of the bed rather than the front so watching TV wasn't convenient. Service was good. This was my first time staying at The Peninsula Tokyo, and the experience was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we began corresponding with the hotel before arrival, the team made it clear that this was going to be a special stay. I had reached out in advance as this was an important trip for our family, and the team – especially Ms. Kim – went above and beyond to help organise everything smoothly. Every detail was handled with care, and it really set the tone for our visit. Throughout our stay, every interaction made us feel genuinely welcome. The lobby team, the staff at Peter, and housekeeping were all consistently warm, professional, and attentive. Small gestures, friendly smiles, and a real willingness to help turned a simple hotel stay into a collection of memories we will cherish for a long time. The hotel is a bit of an uphill walk from Shinagawa Station, and you take an elevator to the first-floor lobby, which is grandly decorated. However, when I tried to check in early, I encountered a Japanese front desk staff member who looked like I owed her money. After paying 4,000 yen for two hours, she told me I'd still have to wait ten minutes for a room (which would have been past the 30-minute mark already). I immediately questioned her about this unfair policy, and she eventually refunded me for one hour. In the end, I got my room card 50 minutes later, successfully checking in an hour early. There was a resonant buzzing sound in the room, but aside from that, the hotel's room service staff were very polite. The room itself was quite spacious and had a balcony, offering a clear view of Tokyo Tower from our 11th-floor room. It's also very close to Takanawa Station. I would consider staying here again if the price is right.

Overall, my experience was okay, but the deposit process was a real hassle, and communication with the front desk was difficult. I tried to pay the deposit online twice, and both times it showed as 'Locked by Shangri-La Tokyo' for JPY 250,000 + JPY 100,000. The hotel responded that their finance team checked and found a system error, so they hadn't received the deposit. Finally, they sent me a new link, and I paid another JPY 100,000, which also showed as 'Locked by Shangri-La Tokyo.' This time, they claimed it was successful. Thank goodness! But even now, the deposit is still being held by the hotel. During my stay, I showed the front desk the emails I had exchanged with their reservations department, but the front desk said they hadn't received them! Even though the reservations system automatically replied to my emails, the front desk still denied receiving them! I also showed them a screenshot of the successful deposit payment, but the front desk said they needed to verify it in their system and wouldn't accept my screenshot. Fine, they said they would confirm the deposit payment in an hour, but we only found out it was received the next day. It was absolutely ridiculous! Unless absolutely necessary, I won't be going to Japan again! And even staying at a Shangri-La wasn't all that great! It was a lot of trouble, and I felt like they intentionally dragged their feet! I come to Tokyo several times a year, staying a fortnight or more each time. This time I spent seven nights at The Capitol Hotel Tokyu. The room faced Hie Shrine. Through the floor-to-ceiling windows I could see the shrine's copper roof and half of Tokyo's skyline. The décor was modern without excess; the layout flowed easily, Bose speakers hidden in the walls, another set in the bathroom ceiling, connected by a 3.5mm jack. The curtains were motorized, though you hardly needed to close them. The turndown service. I would leave in the evening and return late to find the room changed: only the hallway light and bedside lamp left on, a bottle of water and a glass on the nightstand, two chocolates beside them. The evening tea and teacup, previously stored in the cabinet, had been moved next to the coffee machine. These changes were so slight you had to think back carefully to confirm they had happened at all. The temperature and humidity had been adjusted. As if the room itself remembered your habits. Room service fell short of the ryokan in Hakone or Lake Toya, but well above the ordinary hotel. Each day I made two or three cups of complimentary coffee, played music, read, wrote. In seven days I finished three books. The research ahead began to take shape. There were drawbacks. No washing machine, but a decent laundromat ten minutes' walk away—a chance to wander the streets of Akasaka. The room provided HDMI and ethernet ports but no cables; for those who came to rest, perhaps a mercy. The minibar fridge was mostly occupied by drinks for purchase, same as the Imperial, though there was still room for my sparkling water. The day I left it was half past five and fully dark. I could barely make out the faces of the bellhop and the taxi driver. Together they loaded my luggage into the boot. I wished the bellhop a happy new year in Japanese and told her I liked her hat. She smiled and returned the greeting. As the taxi pulled out of the underground drive, I thought of the inns Kawabata once wrote about: what had to be sought in the mountains of snow country can now be reached by elevator from the B2 exit of a metro station. I have watched the Shinagawa Prince Hotel loosen quietly over time, slip a little. That kind of decline is rarely one great error. It begins the day someone forgets to leave a glass of water, neglects to move a packet of tea, omits a newspaper. As for The Capitol Hotel Tokyu: in Japanese, what I experienced over these seven days is called ちょうどいい.

Mandarin Oriental once again gave me an unforgettable day. I've celebrated many birthdays at Mandarin Oriental before, and this time was no exception. The Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo, was absolutely perfect. While the facilities are luxurious, they might not be considered top-tier luxury. The main perfection truly lies in the service. Mandarin Oriental offers classic French cuisine, the best pizza, and excellent sushi... This is a reasonably priced hotel in Tokyo where you can enjoy a hot spring bath. It's not simply a 'downgrade' alternative to a Dormy Inn; Super Hotel has its own unique charm. While the rooms aren't large, the space is efficiently utilized. You can slide a large suitcase under the bed, which effectively creates a lot more room. You can also choose your own pillow. The room uses a password entry system, so you don't have to worry about losing your key card. The hot bath was very comfortable too. The surrounding area is full of traditional Japanese charm, which is quite interesting. I even had a heated argument with a few elderly 'rebellious' ladies... Of course, Ikebukuro itself has plenty of places to explore. Tobu Duty-Free offers tax-free shopping without any processing fees, and there's often a long queue, likely for Montbell. Cleaning is chargeable at 1.5k yen per clean. Otherwise no cleaning whatsoever - but they do give you new towels and a trash bag daily (hung on your door knob). Breakfast is pretty cute and homely - I liked it when I tried it at a different province, so I rebooked dormy inn. They have a luggage scale at level 2, so very convenient if you have been shopping like crazy. The shopping street around the area is pretty interesting, and I love uneo park. However, some pretty strange stuff during my stay: 1. They insisted on entering my room for an ”inspection” but didn't specify why. When I called to ask, they said it was a bedframe inspection. As a solo female traveler my preference is not to let random people into my room, especially if they're not going to clean after these external people enter, but reception said they couldn't wait until my stay was over a few days later. When I came back to the room, my blanket was shifted and untucked entirely from one side, and my electronics were moved around. 2. A bug appeared on my sink mirror, so I gave feedback to the hotel staff as mini bugs means there's more bugs, and suggested that they fumigate. They said ”oh... sorry” suddenly all proceeded to look away from me and pretend I didn't exist, which was super weird treatment, and very rude lol. I didn't even ask them to change my room, the point is that these bugs are likely to have infestations, and if I came back in another trip to this hotel, I would not like to see more. They didn't even bother asking me what floor I was on, so 100% they don't seem to have any intention of dealing with this. Very weird and poor behaviour - I think it was too much to expect Onyado Nono service in Dormy Inn, so I don't think I will come back.

The ice cream was really good – on our first day, we foolishly bought ice cream at the supermarket, but after that, we just waited for the complimentary evening ice cream! Oh, and there's free ramen available after 9:30 PM. Everything was great, apart from the small room size.

Korakuen Tokyo|4.46km from city center
I've stayed at many Dormy Inn hotels, and this time I chose the Korakuen location in Tokyo. The facilities are consistent with other branches, and the hot spring is on the basement level, so there's no outdoor bath like some other locations. Breakfast was decent. I have two complaints, though. First, this hotel might be an old building renovation, as the elevators are incredibly slow; you have to wait ages every time. Second, at other Dormy Inn branches, you can self-check-in, but here, the front desk insisted we check in with them manually. Their efficiency was terrible; it wasted so much of our time and was slower than if we had done it ourselves. I really wonder what they're thinking sometimes!

Akihabara Tokyo|3.56km from city center
I recently stayed at this hot spring hotel in Akihabara, and overall it was a really relaxing experience with great convenience. The atmosphere felt calm and welcoming from the moment I arrived, and check-in was smooth. The hot spring was definitely the highlight—everything felt clean, the baths were warm and soothing, and it was an easy way to unwind after a day of exploring. Location-wise, it was also a big plus. Being in/near Akihabara made it simple to enjoy the area’s shops, food, and attractions without dealing with long commutes. The room was comfortable enough for a restful stay, and the staff were friendly and helpful whenever I needed anything. Overall, I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, relaxing hot spring stay in a convenient Akihabara spot.

Facilities: All the essentials are there, and there's enough luggage space for a solo traveler. Cleanliness: Overall very clean, though the slippers weren't disposable, which was a minor inconvenience. Environment: There's an onsen (hot spring bath) which is really relaxing. The location is also great; it's very convenient to walk to Akihabara. It's a bit of a distance from the JR station, but very close to the subway! Service: Excellent. They offer Chinese-speaking service, and all sorts of amenities are available for self-service at the front desk. Being able to choose a pillow of the right height was also a nice touch. They even provide free bath salts, so bathing in the room feels like having a private hot spring back home, haha.

Located in Haneda Airport Garden, it's a very convenient 5-minute walk at a normal pace to T3 departures and arrivals. The room faced Tokyo Bay and was incredibly quiet. The 10th-floor onsen has three outdoor pools with great views, one of which allows you to lie flat on the stones – incredibly comfortable! Indoors, there are four or five different-sized pools, including natural hot springs, jet massage baths, and carbonated baths. The facility is large, well-designed for efficient movement, impeccably clean, and the service is excellent. After your bath, there's a self-service fridge with Morinaga ice milk for 190 yen. You can charge it to your room and pay at check-out, or use the self-service machine in the resting area by the pools. No need to bring your own bath towels or face towels. Stayed for two nights with my mum as it was her birthday trip. We had reserved a room with bunk beds but were initially given a room with just one bed. They changed it after we went back to reception and showed our confirmation. They also photocopied our passports. It would have been helpful if reception had explained the different levels on the 2nd and 4th floors between the new and main buildings. The amenities were great, with good pillow options, a hot pool and a nice breakfast. Despite a few hiccups at check in, I would still recommend this place to others!

Anshin Oyado Ogikubo is a well-equipped capsule hotel with complete men’s amenities — no need to bring your own. The location is slightly out of the city, about a few stations away from Shinjuku, and around 45 minutes to other major attractions. Overall, I'd definitely stay here again if I have the chance. This hotel, conveniently located near the station, boasted an amazing view. As it was a women-only floor, I didn't have to worry about encountering men. Although the room was a tiny 3 tatami mats, it was perfectly fine for just sleeping. The toilets were shared, but it was lovely to stretch out in the communal bath. Amenities were surprisingly comprehensive; they provided nightwear (a simple one-piece, so you'll need something to wear underneath), bath towels, and hand towels. The room itself had a hairdryer, mirror, humidifier, built-in TV, and a refrigerator (though no tissues, so bring your own). My only minor quibbles were that, despite being someone who can sleep almost anywhere, I was in a room close to a sink in the hallway and was woken up by the sound of it being used. Also, perhaps because I was on the 10th floor, the wind noise was a bit loud.

Across the bridge is Gion, and on the opposite main road is Kyoto Takashimaya. All the shopping areas are within easy walking distance. The staff were very friendly, and the hotel is beautifully built on the site of a former primary school, which gives it a unique character. There are two cafés on Level 1 — one of them is the popular Blue Bottle Coffee. There are also two Western dining options on Level 1. This was our second stay at Dai Ichi. We can’t fault the service or location. The rooms are a little older and probably that’s why they are on the more spacious side of hotels in Tokyo. The cleaning wasn’t always perfect. When we went to the room the previous occupant’s small towel was hanging on the top of the shower. I stayed at Hotel Villa Fontaine Grand Tokyo Shiodome and had a pleasant experience overall. The hotel is conveniently located within the Shiodome complex, making it easy to access public transportation and nearby attractions. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of delicious Japanese and Western options. I also noticed that many international guests, especially Americans, were staying here, which gave the hotel a lively and welcoming atmosphere. On the downside, the staff were just average not unfriendly, but not particularly warm or attentive either. The room was also smaller than it appeared in the photos, and the bathroom was very compact, with just enough space to move around comfortably. I expected a little more based on the pictures, but I understand that compact rooms are quite common in Tokyo. One thing that could definitely be improved is the smoking area. The smoking cubicle only accommodates two people at a time. Since many guests including myself were smokers, there was often a queue during peak hours, which was quite inconvenient. Overall, it’s a good hotel with a fantastic location and excellent breakfast. Just keep your expectations realistic regarding room size, and be prepared for the limited smoking facilities if you’re a smoker.

Whether I was out for business during the day or returning to the hotel in the evening, I could quickly find peace and rest. The hotel's service is professional and discreet. Check-in and check-out were quick, and communication with the front desk was smooth. They were prompt in responding to requests for luggage storage and general inquiries without being overly intrusive, which is ideal for business guests who need quiet for work and rest. The room was quite small, basically just a place to sleep. You could open your suitcase, but it made the space feel a bit cramped. The room's amenities weren't very new. The only thing I found really practical was the spacious vanity, which was great for putting things down. However, I wouldn't say it was easy to do makeup, as the whole bathroom was quite basic, lacking a proper vanity light or mirror. Although this hotel came up as one of the top three (I think it was the first) when I searched for Shinjuku area accommodations, the closest subway station is actually Nishi-Shinjuku. It takes about a fifteen-minute walk to get to Shinjuku JR Station. There aren't many convenience stores nearby, as the hotel is located above the metropolitan government building. There were even some homeless people in the vicinity (?). The hotel staff automatically provide service in English, which made communication much smoother than in many other Japanese hotels. We are a family of 4 stayed there for 6 nights. The hotel is dated but well maintained. Generally satisfactory. Unfortunately the beds were uncomfortable. We complained to the hotel the next day. They changed the bed frame. However, it didn’t work. My wife who slept on that bed still felt great discomfort on her back. We raised the issue again and requested to replace the bed. They didn’t accommodate. They just added another bed cushion on that bed. The impact of course was minimal. To minimize the suffering , we had to take turn to sleep on that bed so that none will suffer for more than 2 days..that was very pathetic. This was my second stay at Executive House Zen. Zen may have been what got me hooked on club lounges. I've been to many club lounges in Tokyo, but this one is hands-down the best. The club lounge is relaxing, the views are amazing, and the staff are incredibly welcoming. After arriving and checking in, I was shown to the lounge and treated to candy tea. I was about an hour early, but I was shown to my room. The room was clean, and the amenities, including Ferragamo shampoo and body soap, had a gorgeous scent. The hair dryer was a Dyson. I loved the body pillow on the bed, lol. There were six food presentations in total. I drank alcohol the whole time. There was an unlimited selection of champagne, beer, various cocktails, coffee, tea, and soft drinks. The first afternoon tea was an all-you-can-eat affair, featuring Satsuki's super melon shortcake, strawberry shortcake, Pierre Hermé croissants, cookies, macarons, various sweets, soup, and more. It was absolutely amazing. As night fell, we were treated to a panoramic view of Tokyo and the food selection changed to fresh vegetable sticks, pinchos, prosciutto, cheese, and smoked salmon, all perfect for pairing with alcohol. For a nightcap, we had Pierre Hermé chocolate and potato chips. With our stomachs full, we headed to Satsuki on the lobby floor for the new, best breakfast buffet. This buffet offered a wide selection of Japanese, Western, and Chinese cuisine, including freshly made rice balls, salmon roe, omelets made right in front of us, Pierre Hermé bread, fresh salads, and fruit!! Satsuki was a little noisy, but with our stomachs full, we headed to the spacious lounge for a drink, but we couldn't help but eat Pierre Hermé croissants and other treats. After that, we were able to use the lounge until check-out, so we were able to come and go as we pleased while relaxing in our room. This was my first time staying at this capsule hotel, but it was more comfortable than any other I've stayed at. I can understand why the price range is a little higher. In addition to the amenities and cleanliness, it also has a bath, so I feel like I was able to relieve the fatigue of work. One thing is that the location in Akasaka is a little inconvenient, but other than that I have no complaints. It provided a comfortable stay that I would like to use again in the future!

Shiodome Tokyo|1.29km from city center
Oh, I forgot to mention something in my last review: sometimes booking separate nights can be cheaper than a continuous multi-night reservation. I stayed a total of 5 nights across 3 different bookings. For my Tokyo trip, the absolute highlight was staying at this all-female hostel – it's truly the best of its kind! It was my first time staying in a capsule hotel, and this entire 9-story building is dedicated to women. 1. **Convenient Location**: It's just a few minutes' walk from Shimbashi and Shiodome subway stations, with FamilyMart and 7-Eleven nearby. 2. **Capsule Pod**: It was much bigger than I expected! 1.3 meters wide and 2 meters long. I chose an upper bunk, and at 1.75 meters tall, I could sit up straight without my head touching the ceiling – I was very pleased! The pillow and mattress were comfortable too; I prefer firmer pillows and bedding. 3. **Communal Bathing Area**: Located on the 8th floor, you need to take off your shoes and enter barefoot. I was surprised to see so many long-haired women, yet there was hardly any hair on the floor; it was kept very clean! After a long day of walking, being able to sit down to shower and then soak in the artificial hot spring bath to relax was pure bliss! There were also many different toiletries to choose from, and the hairdryers were Refa – my hair felt so smooth afterwards. The hair oil smelled lovely, and I enjoyed using the peach-scented Johnson's body lotion. 4. **Communal Lounge**: On the 9th floor, there are tables for working. Free drinks are available 24 hours a day, free popcorn and waffles (motion-activated, quite cool!) are available after 5 PM, free ramen after 7 PM, and free curry rice in the mornings. There are also free massage chairs in the lounge, which was fantastic!

Shinjuku Area Tokyo|6.45km from city center
Might be one of the best cityview hotels in Tokyo. For anyone looking to enjoy an incredible night/ day city view experience and u might be able to see Mount Fuji ! Then this is definitely the place to stay. The location is also very convenient, situated close to most of the main shopping areas in Shinjuku. The only downside is that the hotel is located right next to a train station, so light sleepers may want to bring earplugs for better sleep quality. That said, the hotel service was truly exceptional easily one of the best hospitality experiences I’ve ever had. Special mention to the amazing team for making the stay even more memorable.

The hotel staff were all very friendly and polite. Check-in was supposed to be at 3 PM, but we arrived around noon after checking out from our previous hotel. We initially just wanted to drop off our luggage and come back later to check in. Luckily, after confirming our reservation, the staff told us we could check in right away. The service staff then escorted us to our room to complete the check-in process there, which made for an extremely satisfying experience. The room was beautiful, and all the amenities felt very high-end and luxurious. We really enjoyed our stay. We'll definitely choose Bulgari again next time.

Pros: the duty manager Mai who is fluent in English and demonstrated outstanding attentiveness and a genuine dedication to hospitality. She took the time to truly understand my specific needs and thoughtfully arranged the perfect room for me. To be quite honest, this level of personalized care and attention to detail is something rarely encountered in the hospitality industry nowadays. I was both deeply impressed and delightfully surprised by this experience. Cons: regarding the housekeeping service during my stay, While I appreciate that the bedsheets were changed diligently, the overall cleanliness and attention to detail have been highly disappointing. Instead of clearing the room, the housekeeper consistently left trash behind after cleaning. Day1 The housekeeper actually stuffed a piece of paper waste into the room card slot. Day 2 The trash remained unclean. Day 3 The housekeeper even left their own dirty cleaning towel right next to the bathroom sink. (see the picture) As a guest, I expected a high standard of hygiene and professionalism, but these incidents have made my stay quite uncomfortable.

Just finished reviewing my June booking, and now I'm here to write about July's. I've been coming to Tokyo almost every month recently, and I always choose this hotel. I've probably been staying here longer than some of the staff have been working here, haha! 😂 The subway access is excellent and very close, so you don't have to walk far at all. The hygiene is great, and it's been well-maintained; I haven't noticed any significant changes over the years. The shower stall is also very convenient, no need to step into a bathtub. If nothing changes, I'll definitely keep coming back. I feel like it's been open for at least ten years now.

This hotel boasts an excellent location, just a few minutes' walk to major department stores and subway stations. Downstairs, you'll find convenience stores and pharmacies. The rooms are clean and dry, with a separated wet and dry bathroom area, and excellent soundproofing. The staff are gentle and attentive. It's the top choice for shopping and dining, and incredibly convenient for getting around. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Tokyo. **Concise Version (approx. 70 words):** The hotel is situated in the heart of Ginza, offering convenient access to transport, luxury brand stores, and restaurants right outside. Rooms are clean and well-equipped, with soft and comfortable bedding, and the front desk service is patient. The only minor drawback is the slightly small room size, making large luggage placement a bit cramped. Overall, the value for money is decent, making it suitable for short shopping and sightseeing stays.

Excellent location and perfect sleep quality! After exiting Yaesu Underground Shopping Mall Exit 22, take the first alley, and you'll spot the hotel. The ground floor is where you catch the elevator, and the reception desk for check-in is on the second floor. The second floor also features a public area with complimentary tea and coffee. It's worth noting that both the front desk staff and housekeepers I encountered this time could communicate in Chinese, making their service incredibly friendly and reassuring! Room comfort completely exceeded my expectations! The soundproofing is excellent; I wasn't disturbed by any noise these past few days. The pillow was very supportive and comfortable, and the air conditioning didn't blow directly onto the bed, so I slept wonderfully every night. There are charging ports by the bed, and you can even set your own wake-up call from the phone, which is very convenient. Two bottles of water are replenished daily in the room. The bathroom has excellent water pressure, making showers very pleasant, and the shampoo and shower gel provided by the hotel are also quite good. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with my stay and would definitely want to visit again!

Overall it was a good stay since I was there just for one night. The room style /shape that I choose was not really convenient for me to pack my luggage because I bought many things and I need a more open space to operate. Also the certain rail fell off all of a sudden but they immediately sent someone to help me fix it. So service wise was excellent.

This hotel was quite good overall. It is about a 10-minute walk to Iriya Gate at Ueno Station, which made it convenient for getting around Tokyo. One of the best things about this hotel is its location near a large open playground, only about 450 meters away. It was perfect for our kids to play and burn off some energy after a day of sightseeing. There are also halal food options nearby. A halal restaurant near Asakusa is just over 1 km away and can easily be reached on foot. In fact, Asakusa itself is within walking distance, making it easy to explore the area without relying too much on public transport. Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The location was family-friendly, convenient, and suitable for travelers looking for easy access to playgrounds, public transportation, and halal food options.

Small but perfectly formed, the lobby provides a comprehensive range of toiletries, including makeup remover, facial cleanser, and bath salts. The room was clean and tidy, and I have to praise the hairdryer – it was excellent! Downstairs, just a 100-meter walk away, there's a Wendy's, which is a great late-night snack option; the fries get a thumbs up! (Avoid the izakaya on the street level below the hotel, though – the salmon was black, the squid was smelly, and the only thing edible on the whole table we ordered was the Coke 😅)

The location of the Comfort Inn Tokyo Roppongi is excellent - only 5 minutes walk from the Roppongi Station. We did not book the hotel breakfast. Rooms are small as expected - this is Tokyo after all. While the staff were friendly, we had one encounter that left us dissatisfied with the hotel policy. Our luggage had broken and we went to Donki to purchase a new one. We had asked the front desk if they could help us dispose of the broken luggage and the staff said they will not - not even for a fee. The next morning, I asked another front desk staff and she said they would do it for a fee of JPY3,000. Why the difference in application of a policy, I don't understand. In the end, we brought the broken luggage to Donki and explained to them and they helped us dispose of it.

The dorm room was very quiet, and the futon was so fluffy and comfortable that I slept really well. Since I was on the bottom bunk, the light peeking through the gap above the curtain bothered me a bit, but once I put on a hot eye mask, I had no trouble sleeping. I'd read reviews saying the hairdryer was weak, but it seems they've replaced it, as it was powerful and dried my hair quickly. If you're someone who doesn't fuss over minor details and just wants a safe, comfortable place to sleep, this is for you! The location is great, and I think it offers excellent value for money.

If you're walking from JR with luggage, it's a bit far. I'd recommend taking the private railway as it's much closer, though be aware there are no elevators in the private railway station – something to consider. As for the hotel, I found it quite clean. The front desk had many Chinese staff who could help with luggage storage and even receiving packages. There's also free coffee. It's very convenient if you're going to Akihabara, as you can walk directly there. Good value for money, I'd consider staying here again.

Facilities: The amenities in Japanese business hotel rooms are generally quite similar. This room included a mini-fridge and disposable slippers. There's a washing machine on the first floor. However, there were a bit too few charging outlets, and bottled water was not provided. Cleanliness: The cleanliness was good; the shower curtain was spotless and stain-free, which I appreciated. Environment: It's about a 5-7 minute walk from Okachimachi Station. There's a Uniqlo right by the station, and a supermarket on the basement level. Service: The front desk service was excellent.

Practical Tips for Filipino Visitors

  • Apply for your Japan visa early: Philippine ordinary passport holders need a valid visa before traveling to Japan. A TGS ticket does not grant permission to enter the country. Check the latest requirements through the Embassy of Japan in the Philippines.
  • Choose the correct day: Filipino tourists should buy a Public Day ticket for September 19, 20, or 21. A Public Day ticket cannot be used during the Business Days.
  • Arrive early: Go directly to your priority booth after entering if there is a particular game you want to try. Overnight queuing around the venue is prohibited.
  • Wear comfortable shoes: Makuhari Messe is very large, and you may spend most of the day walking or standing in lines.
  • Prepare for warm weather: September can still be hot and humid in Chiba. Bring water in a sealed bottle and take regular breaks to avoid heat exhaustion.
  • Bring only a small bag: All visitors must pass through baggage inspection. Carrying fewer items can make the entry process faster.
  • Save tickets and maps offline: Mobile reception can become congested inside the halls. Screenshot your Trip.com QR code and download the venue map before arriving.
  • Bring a power bank: Your phone will be needed for tickets, maps, translation, photos, and travel directions.
  • Carry your passport or photo ID: Some age-restricted game demos may require proof of age.
  • Check prohibited items: Selfie sticks are not allowed. Folding chairs, tripods, cosplay props, and other items measuring more than 50 cm may also be prohibited.
  • Follow photography rules: Some publishers do not allow photos or videos of unreleased games. Follow the signs and instructions at each booth.
