I never thought I'd get a room for special care needs. There is no bathtub with an open area. Never select if it's unnecessary. No sleepers, no toothbrush, no
Overall okay. Convenient location, nice place to stay as there's plenty to do on Hayling Island, also easy to get to Portsmouth & Southsea. Breakfast was okay - needed to queue due to the crowd at the long weekend. Cleanliness and room facilities needs great improvement. On arrival, room was rather dusty, bed not made properly and the bathtub was blocked. The bathtub was unblocked so at least we could have a shower but that made the room smell of chemicals and the dirts came out from the drain precipitated the bathtub as the person left it unclean. Unfortunately there wasn't an option to swap to another room.
Exceelent newish hotel near Utilita Bowl Cricket ground. Breakfas busy but very good as included in room prices. Rooms suitable for shorter stays and pre cruise stays from Southampton only a little further out. TV lounge/bar area was excellent to watch England play in the Euros. Large car park and walkable to nearby stores and restaurants.
The hotel is not far from Heathrow Airport, and it takes more than 40 minutes to drive back to West London on weekends. Convenient transportation. And you can also park for free, the overall feeling is better, you can order again.
The surrounding areas are amazing easy access to the city centre. So obvious that they never check under the bed there is a big tissue paper manage to pick it up before we check out. I give this hotel to 4 stars.
Great service, as always, from the young man at Reception. I stay here often and it’s always great value. BEI g refurbished and improvements gear so far. Pool and gym a lovely bonus.
The hotel is in a perfect location for what we wanted, lovely pub’s restaurants and amazing little boutique shops. The room was really nice and clean. Staff helpful. Breakfast was lovely and good they do 2for1 cocktails during a happy hour

EEthanOverall I thought this Hotel for having ‘budget’ in its name was very good, I still think that £182 was pretty expensive for what was on offer compared to the big brands like Travelodge/Premier Inn. This Hotel was in a very convent location in Southampton and is within short walking distance from Southampton Cebtrak Train Station, Southampton Coach Station and Southampton Cruise Terminal. There’s even a McDonald’s right outside the building, The lobby was clean and tidy and check in speed was fast, first problem is that the Key cards kept randomly l stop working almost every time I went in and out of the hotel, asked what the problem could be and was told that the cards de magnetise if near a mobile device, I found this irritating, the room was a decent size with comfortable bed, Shower is in the bedroom and the toilet was in its own little closet, dident bother me as a solo traveller, the shower was slightly frustrating as the temperature consistently kept changing from hot to cold and the handle was that big it was easy to knock the handle and turn if the shower without intentionally doing so, Imtge rooms have no kettle and no plug sockets near the bed only two plugs by the desk, I like the option to have 24/7 access to food and drink at recipe if you need it there’s a menu/leaflet in the rooms, unfortunately the breakfast for a continental breakfast was very poor, very little selection on offer and the 2nd morning had considerably less with very little to eat, for the price that was very disappointing, apart from that its convent on location and gets the job done
GGuest User3 identical rooms booked but only had complimentary items in fridge & robes
Lack of towels
Duty manager Michael was amazing when we struggled to order from limited bar menu
Slow food service & errors with our order
No martini glass available for espresso martini
Lovely rooms, great surroundings

GGuest UserBeautiful grounds! The entrance to the hotel is amazing. It’s in a fantastic setting, lovely to walk around the grounds aha explore. The room is slightly dated in comparison to other hotels, however the bed is comfy and you have a tv and hot drink facilities. Pool, jacuzzi and steam room were a nice touch.

AAnonymous UserLovely hotel and spa . Only let down was the car park attached to hotel only has one way in , no exit very very dangerous there was four of us grid locked inside it. Lucky we were all good drivers and managed to exit . There is a public one outside , but hotel car park is very limited and dangerous hardly any room inside , weird old shape and reverse driving more than forward . Hotel are cash less and there attitude was.... ah na , sorry cashless system . Shop up road. that's all they could offer don't give a dam how you park. Also took 160 deposit and will return sometime after. At later date. That was the real letdown reception staff.. .. not my problem attitude was poor. While the people that did get in hotel carpark was lucky to pay at reception off there deposit. Such poor service for such a lovely hotel. Apart from that the rest good.
PPenguinLadyDepressing place at motorway services. I had asked for a quiet room as I was travelling for work. One had not been given however the front desk gentleman was happy to move me. It proved to be a false economy though, since the noise from the room above was extremely annoying. I’m not sure what some people seem to do in hotel rooms – sounded like they were just pacing up and down between seven and midnight!
Otherwise a clean and basic stay. Bed reasonably comfortable.
Won’t stay again as I’ve stayed here two or three times now and I’ve never been really satisfied.
