The Palace of the Lost City at Sun City Resort
4.3/575 Reviews
advantage: The overall architecture and garden view of the hotel are great, the swimming pool and restaurant are great The room has welcome wine and snacks, and the room is facing the swimming pool to take pictures nice The service of the staff is very good, which is praised. shortcoming: Room: I booked a king-size bed of 51 square meters in the online reservation, but the room arranged by the hotel is not like this at all. The room is not big and the bed is small. If you have booked on trips, you'd better confirm that the travel agency agent booked the room you want. Then the mattress collapsed and I slept very tired. Can hear the noise all night don't know what machine in the hotel is causing it. Bathroom: toilet and shower The bathtub is very small, the hot and cold water is not well adjusted, and the bathrobe is too old. Restaurant: Buffet in the morning and in the evening. There are not many things to accept in the morning. You can sit outside and face the swimming pool to feed the birds. They like to eat grapes. The quality of the buffet at night is very poor and it is not recommended to eat. You can go to the grill room next to you to eat, remember to make an appointment, that location is great for taking pictures, bonfire + dinner. Travel: The hotel has a fixed number of buses to pick you up to the area you want to go to the resort. If you drive by yourself, you can only park your car at the hotel. There is basically no parking space outside and you cannot drive in the park by yourself. Summary: If you come to Sun City, South Africa, this hotel is worth staying, and it is worthy of the 5-star feeling. But don't be too demanding about the food. The overall score is 7.8, which is one of the must-see items when you come to South Africa.

Very slow sluggish check-in, wifi does not work half the time very slow, and the light goes off every so often and the AC has to reset should woke me up all night long. Location is very nice but everything else needs mayor improvement, I do see the owners and everything work hard but they are definitely missing the bigger picture.
Kwa Maritane Lodge
4.3/564 Reviews
I had a single room self catering. Unfortunately, the adjacent bedroom wall to my unit is porous. You hear everything from the bedroom next door. I had smokers next door and the smoker's cough is disturbing. Lack of sleep each night for me. In addition, big red signs saying no smoking on the Patio's, but the guests disregarded that. you couldn't sit and enjoy a barbeque on the patios because of their smoking. I've been there before, but after this experience, never again. Not relaxing at all this visit. You can't sit outside and enjoy the animals because of guests disregarding rules and smoking on patios. The establishment has no proper management of that. Making the stay an unpleasant one.
Protea Hotel Mahikeng
4/518 Reviews
If you have low expectations and time on your hands, you will strike gold (possibly platinum) with a visit to the Mahikeng Protea hotel restaurant. The single bottle of wine for the table took so long that the thought struck me that the poor waiter had been dispatched to Stellenbosch by three legged donkey to get it. On his return from van der Stel’s encampment and somewhere between our table and the place where orders are ‘punched in’, the hapless rider of the tri-limbed mule was accosted by highwaymen, who robbed him, cruelly stealing pages from the book where he had so diligently noted our orders. Evidence of the robbery manifested itself when the sauces and sides ordered at the start appeared as we drew our cutlery together signaling the end of a meal so bland grown men sobbed as they recalled similar meals they’d enjoyed at the Siege of Mafeking. The same signal heralded a realization that one entire order had remained in the starting blocks like a deaf sprinter who couldn’t hear the gun. The game here needs upping very badly. Very badly.
Ukutula Lion Lodge
4.5/524 Reviews
There aren’t enough stars to rate Ukutula , from checking in to checking out is faultless, the Staff are incredible and that is all due to the exceptional training they’ve had, Willi who owns Ukutula has standards. The Staff choose who you speak too treat everyone like part of this unique family. No praise can be enough for them. The accommodation at Ukutula are just like the Staff perfect, beautifully decorated individual thatched lodges, with an outside sitting area complete with a fire pit, camp chairs to sit around the fire pit plus a table and chairs on the veranda area. The bedroom’s are beautiful a lovely sitting area with a comfy sofa, a dining table, tv, ours had kitchenette superbly equipped which we didn’t use except the fridge. The restaurant serves beautifully presented meals and breakfast is a magnificent feast. The gardens with 2 pools are gorgeous with so many animal figures representative of the wildlife. We had joined our friends there, it was the final destination on our month long trip it was a reunion and our friend said it would be special, special doesn’t come close for Dreams coming True, we’ve been privileged of visiting several countries in Africa to see wildlife in a natural habitat, to play with Lion Cubs, to be licked by Fiji the Cheetah was something I never thought I’d do, but I have never dreamed that I would hold a 4 week old Lion Cub, that is a memory to cherish forever. Not only does Ukutula make dreams come true, the conservation that they do is a vital to the wildlife world, their laboratory is fascinating and great education on what they are doing to preserve wildlife. Thank You Ukutula for Making More Tan Dreams Come True
Ivory Tree Game Lodge
4.6/537 Reviews
This was one of the most incredible experiences of my life and well worth every penny. The lodges themselves are amazing, absolutely spotless and have everything you need. I loved the outdoor shower! The food was incredible, some of the best food I’ve ever had and as a vegetarian there were lots of options for me to choose from. You get paired with the same safari guide the whole time you are there which is really lovely. Our guide was Phenyo and he was incredible, so knowledgeable and dedicated to his work. He went above and beyond to make our experience the best it could be and it was fantastic. We saw the big five and many other animals, most of them really close up which was simply incredible. I can’t recommend this place enough, it was amazing!
Anew Resort Hunters Rest Rustenburg

The hotel staff were very friendly, the place is quiet and not too busy. I enjoyed the swimming pool, but it can do with a little bit of cleaning by removing insects and leaves that keep floating around. I enjoyed my stay and willing to go back ❤️
