Only booked this hotel for one night as they had a discounted room, and wished we had stayed longer. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. Nice sunset views from the pool and a decent breakfast. Shame the price was double for the second night, or we would have stayed. It is a little out of the center, but there are tuk-tuks waiting outside for around 100 pesos.
We enjoyed a three-night stay, finding the location to be quite lovely. The hotel was beautiful, and its amazing location was convenient to a lively mall just a minute's walk away. our room was clean, the breakfast was delicious, and the service was excellent.
We didn't expect it but also we enjoy breathtaking sunsets.
Enjoyed our stay here. Room was nice and bed was comfortable. It met our expectations. Lots of amenities and activities. The pool was amazing and the view is great. Perfect sunsets. Water was not potable so stock up on water. We got the jr. suite but it was really like a deluxe room but ok for the price. Would love to have seen a regular suite and the view. Breakfast was good each day. We only ate dinner once on the roof but it was raining and we didn’t enjoy it very much. Staff was excellent. Recommend staying here when you’re in el nido.
We stayed here for 2 nights and 3 days. The view in our room was awesome! 🤩 I chose and loved this hotel as it's closed to anywhere and it's in the center of El-nido.Island Tours offices,Motorbike rentals and Laundry services,Restaurants are closed to it. One thing there is no parking lot if you have a car. So you need to do the Pay Parking nearby.Food is great but not so many choices.
Honestly, we had the best time at Funny Lion Resort! From the start, everything felt top-notch. The staff were super friendly and accommodating, always ready to help and just really made us feel welcome.
There were so many complimentary perks too, which was such a nice surprise. It felt like they really went above and beyond to make the stay special.
What I loved the most is that the resort pretty much has everything you need—you seriously don’t have to leave. There are activities, great restaurants, a cozy coffee bar, and more all right there. We didn’t even feel the need to go out and explore because everything we wanted was already in the resort.
The whole place has a super relaxing vibe, perfect for just chilling and enjoying the moment. It was such a good escape from the usual busy life.
Would 100% go back—and probably will, again and again. Can’t recommend it enough!
The hotel itself was lovely and the food was good. However, we found the roosters next to the hotel to be very inappropriate and disturbing. We could not sleep properly because they are noisy all through the night. There is no way to block the noise out.
We were able to switch rooms, which helped, but if the hotel is running at full occupancy it will be a problem. About 24 rooms are affected by the noise the roosters make. It is a pity that roosters on a plot next to the hotel causes plenty of discomfort for guests. If I was the owner of this hotel, I would certainly do something about the roosters.
We stayed at this resort in February with our family, and we highly recommend it. The location is beautiful, with a stunning natural setting that remains quite wild, providing the perfect backdrop for a property that includes a hotel, villas, and glamping accommodations.
We stayed in the hotel, but we also recommend the villas, which were occupied by our friends—they are nestled in lush greenery and are very well maintained. There is a small pool available for guests located in the glamping area. The resort also offers relaxing massages and the opportunity to book excursions.
The restaurant offers a limited menu, but the dishes are well-prepared, and the pizza, in particular, meets high Italian standards. The only small suggestion we would make is to improve the breakfast selection slightly.
The staff is incredibly kind, always helpful, and consistently welcoming with warm smiles. A special thanks to the General Manager, who was always present and attentive to guests’ needs.
Amazing hotel, the most elegant in the area. They have 2 pools very big and clean. It was raining but still hot so we decided to spend the day at the hotel at the pool. They have an amazing service. The staff is very kind. They have access to the beach not the best in the area but very clean and calm. After 12pm the water goes up like 500m far so it's common to walk on the sand. Very chic, clean and amazing service.

Everything was really perfect! The location, the food, the service, the place, the people, everything was really splendid and excellent. I will visit Port Barton again and will check in again on this accommodation. Keep it up. I would like to commend Ms. Shannie for the excellent service you have provided. Thank you so much. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Service was good. Breakfast has someone cooking up omelette's and eggs your way - a plus. There was no mini fridge in the room, something I didn't notice when booking. The food we ordered for lunch at the pool wasn't very good. The doors make this beeping noise that is really annoying - we could hear other doors beeping, sometimes for no reason.
Shower has no door so the bathroom gets really wet. It is a bit far from town centre but any tuk tuk would charge 60 pesos to get there. Easy.
Despite these issues, hotel was good and I would stay again!

WWenxyzjGreat Stay – Relaxing and Well-Serviced!
I had a really good stay at this accommodation. The staff were all very kind and accommodating, from the front desk to the housekeeping team. The receptionists were very courteous and helpful—they will you arranger your island hopping tour and van transfer with no hassle at all.
All the breakfast meals were delicious, and I really appreciated the free cocktail at the bar area—it was a nice touch! The lounge area was also a great place to relax, and having an ATM on-site was super convenient.
The rooms were very clean and well-maintained, and the housekeepers were polite and respectful. The guards were also very helpful and assisted in calling a tuktuk whenever I needed one.
One of my favorite parts of the stay was spending time by the pool—it was peaceful and perfect for relaxing.
All in all, it was a very good stay. I felt comfortable, well taken care of, and truly relaxed throughout my visit. Highly recommended!
Aannaleah lacotoOne night at Astoria Palawan is simply not enough! I had an amazing time during my short stay and truly believe that at least 5 days are needed to fully enjoy everything the resort has to offer—especially the Astoria Waterpark, which is fun, exciting, and well-maintained.The entire resort atmosphere is peaceful and beautifully kept, perfect for relaxing or adventure-filled days.
The buffet dinner was very delicious—great variety and flavors! The fire dance performance—it was absolutely mesmerizing and added a magical touch to the evening.
However, I noticed the breakfast buffet lacked halal-friendly options. I had only chicken adobo, egg, and fish only. Most of the main dishes, including the soup and hotdogs, contained pork, which may be a concern for Muslim or halal-conscious guests. I hope they consider offering more inclusive meal options in the future.
Special thanks to Ms. Princess Gaflu at the front desk for her warm and professional service, and Alonso, the attendant at the waterpark, who went above and beyond to guide me, take photos and videos, and make me feel welcome. His friendly attitude made my experience even more memorable!
If I didn’t have prior appointments in Manila, I would have stayed longer—and I definitely will next time! For me, Palawan means Astoria. Not El Nido. Just Astoria. It’s the best place to stay in the province—hands down!
Can’t wait to come back.

CCallum TWe had a wonderful stay at Piece Lio! Absolutely everything exceeded our expectations.
The airport transfer was swift and very well done, and we were able to check in early. The hotel helped us organise tours and trips, and staff were incredibly helpful and courteous.
The room had very modern facilities, from a superb smart Chinese toilet to a Marshall speaker in the room, and a large fridge for drinks. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the walk in closet similarly was spacious and well organised.
In addition, the location was incredible, within a 5 minute walk to Lio Beach and all the restaurants and bars included, as well as regular transfers to and from El Nido town proper.
Next time we are back we look forwards to booking another stay with Piece Lio!

Pros:
- The lady who was in charge (We think she's the manager) is really nice and helpful.
- Distance: THIS WAS THE ULTIMATE DEAL. Hotel is near the beach and most of the local restaurants so we didn't experience any problem. (I recommend the cafe and 'Terminal' near the beach 😊)
- AC and the room was perfect. It was really hot outside and the temp plus the room felt really homey and comfy
- The hotel was really pretty or what we call aesthetic. My baby really liked the designs
- Free breakfast and coffee was a good deal, but don't expect too much.
- How much we got the reservation for 3d2n. Great offer from this app :)
- Staff are nice especially the ones in the restaurant. Wasn't able to ask her name but she was a waiter there and also served our food (afternoon) and the guy who was at the front desk when we checked out
Cons:
- Service fee. I do understand that this is necessary to support the staff, but if you are on a tight budget it might be better to eat outside (sorry...)
- Food was too expensive for the quality and the quantity... I recommend the chicken inasal since it had a big portion.
- Room service and cleanliness - Manager said we could ask for a room service and we could just call them of we need one. We called them on our second day and we waited until our stay ended but no onr came to clean 😅 The girl who answered the phone was kinda masungit or maybe it was the tone of her voice. She told me that they are quiet busy at the moment and told me to just wait - I do understand if they're short staffed or something? But the dirt was kinda bothering us already so we just tried to clean the room on our own
- Cockroaches and ants. So in connection to my previous review... Yes, there are cockroaches in the room especially the bathroom. It doesn't help that they don't clean the rooms daily.
- Breakfast is not a room service. You have to go down to the restaurant and eat it there.
- Room view. Our room was in the corner of the hotel. Our view was okay because we are can view the pool... And our neighbors ac unit lmao. On the plus side since the units were emitting hot air, it was easier for us to dry our towels 😂 It was really different from the picture.
- Pool was kinda dirty
- Overpriced goods. They have a mini store in the hotel but it would be better to pack up snacks or drinks before coming here.
- OUTSIDE FOOD ARE NOT ALLOWED. Better be careful when bringing meals in the hotel.
Even after listing this, we would still love to come back and stay here. I do hope they give us a better room next time 😅
SSaleh_ShoaibI recently had the pleasure of staying at the Stunning Republic, and I can't recommend it enough for beach lovers! Located just 20 feet from the sandy shores, this hotel is perfect for anyone looking to soak up the sun and enjoy the ocean.
From the moment I arrived, the friendly staff made me feel at home. The check-in process was quick, and I was immediately captivated by the stunning view from my room. With a private balcony overlooking the beach, I could enjoy the sound of the waves and the salty breeze without even leaving my space.
The accommodations were clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, featuring modern amenities and cozy decor.
One of the highlights of my trip was the easy access to the beach. It was just a short stroll down a charming path, allowing me to spend my days sunbathing, swimming, and exploring.
Breakfast by the ocean was a standout, featuring fresh pastries and local fruits.
Overall, this is a hidden gem for anyone seeking a beach getaway. The convenient location, friendly service, and quality accommodations make it an ideal choice for a relaxing vacation.
GGuest UserThe room and cleaness all good, but trip.com and service in terms of booking is a horrible experience. IF YOU ARE READING THIS REVIEW, STAY AWAY FROM TRIP.COM!!! This platform is one of the worst, we had a trouble with check in because hotel could not find our booking, the hotel itself is perfect but trip.com isn't. They also refused us to refund for not used night and early check-in. This should be as crime to not have a possibility to refund! Be careful where you book your hotel!
GGuest UserFacilities: very complete, all requirements met
Hygiene: The customer service is very attentive in cleaning, even if we check in suddenly, there is no problem at all
Environment: I'm tired of saying the word ”beautiful”, it's worth a visit
Service: I am most satisfied with the service, which is very considerate and makes you feel that the money is worth it, and every staff member is very enthusiastic
Pick-up service: I didn't need to take things with my hands during the whole process, and they were already waiting for us in advance, which was very considerate
