Hotels With Breakfast in Kedah, Malaysia

There was a small hick up when I checked in as I booked a family room with 2 queen beds. I got 1 room with only 1 queen bed instead.. they immediately checked and later was informed that they will be giving me 2 connecting rooms instead. Service was ok but need to improve on amenities. Definitely a no-no if u plan to stay in the room to watch TV ( no TV channels available 😆)

Booked Malibest Resort for my missus, sister-in-law, and our two little ones for a 3-night break. They paid RM100 deposit for two rooms. They asked for connecting rooms, but due to peak season, the hotel could only offer nearby rooms on the same floor with another guest in between. Staff said we could swap if the middle room became free, but the guest stayed longer, so no luck—but it was fine. The hotel’s right in the heart of Cenang, and with peak season in full swing, it was packed. They hired a car to explore Langkawi, but parking was tricky—no private lot, so had to leave the car on the far side street or at the nearby mall (RM20 overnight). A few times they used Grab instead, which made the car rental feel a bit wasted. Location-wise, it’s spot-on. Loads of duty-free shops, food places, and just steps from the beach. They walked to Underwater World too. The area’s buzzing with tourists, both local and international. Rooms were clean and quiet. The pool was sandy at the bottom—likely from beachgoers jumping in without rinsing. Inside the room, all the basics were covered: towels, shampoo, body wash, a fridge for takeaway, water boiler for coffee, and a telly with YouTube (which the kids loved). Also, it’s close to the airport—so no stress about getting there on time. Overall, a solid stay with great location and helpful staff. A few hiccups, but the family had a lovely time.

when I checked in there were no staff to assist to push the trolley (few bags and hanging clothes for me and my wife). I was told by the reception there were no staff at afternoon shift?? hotel location were just nice but there were no walking distance halal food nearby, except KFC and Nasi Kandar Pelita (which pretty small). Room was nice considering is an old hotel.

Location was Great!, berdepan dengan dataran chenang. Parking limited utk guest 15lot, dan jauh di belakang (in case dapat blok hotel didepan) , selebihnya public parking yg perlu kupon/apps Flexiparking2.0 . Bilik yg luas sesuai utk family. Friendly user for stroller/wheelchair . Lain2 kelengkapan bilik air okay, cuma takda berus gigi. Kebersihan bilik , ada jumpa anak2 lipas 4 ekor. So if u all beli chocolate, carefull. Maybe bilik lama tak digunakan (not sure).

loved our stay here. staff was very friendly and since we had to check out in the wee hours, they returned the deposit a night before. good vibes at night with people bbq-ing, swimming or just chilling around. totally recommend 💛

Langkapuri Resort is a budget-friendly option with a top-notch location right on Pantai Cenang beach, suitable for travelers prioritizing beach access and proximity to amenities. While rooms and service may be basic and occasionally inconsistent, the overall experience is good for the price.

Service, cleanliness, and the pool were all good. The food was delicious; you should definitely try the spaghetti aglio e olio. Highly recommended! Room service is available if you're too tired to go out. It's also close to Pantai Cenang. The only minor issue was the TV not functioning during our stay. I hope management addresses this promptly. Otherwise, everything else was great! 👍🏼

Booked for work trip. But suprisingly very good. Staff was friendly. We got the newly renovated room. Room was clean and comfortable. The bed was super single or queen for twin room. Only thing weird was toilet and shower was seperate. We also visited the spa which was superd! Highly recomended. The breakfast was ok. Only thing to comment the half boil egg tasted abitttt weird and the nasi lemak’s sambal was cold. Other than that no comment.

As others mentioned, time has not been kind to the hotel infrastructure and does feel pretty dated. There were switches, locks, and control panels that were likely previously under the Sheraton system, which no longer functions. The main noticeable thing was Temperature/AC control panel, yet the AC was a stand alone unit with remote. However, the extremely friendly & helpful staff and the amazing service is what shifts the experience into at least an enjoyable stay. Breakfast was a combination on buffet/help yourself Malaysian/Western blend, with Omelette station prepared fresh by staff. The pool and outdoor chair lounge area is huge! The private beach front is nice to view the sunset and rise (especially if you have a beach front view room). The gym was completely mine as no one else used it. The restaurant /dining area is also big and they are open quite late, so you can order direct from kitchen rather than relying on Grab Food to come at least 30 minutes+ later. Keep in mine: I was here in the off season, where tourist/school kids groups were significantly less. I would say the location is very prime to airport convenience & convention center. However, it is NOT COMMUTE friendly since and you will heavily rely on Grab if no car/motorbike (in Langkawi in general). Sometimes Grab drivers will ask you to cancel if they are in the Pantai Cenang area since that's where the majority of the action/festivities area on that side of Langkawi. Overall, great value for a pretty good, peaceful stay. But if you are looking for something more lively, best to get something near Pantai Cenang City Center.

Pro: -service particularly pool attendant and breakfast team lead -who assisted me they they noticed my arm in sling , much appreciated Cons: - room was v small. I thought maybe an an allowance would be made for to my injury but they insisted I had to pay for an upgrade ..I guess business is business? - there are minimal tv channels (only apps) so no mainstream ones like bbc/cnn or even Malaysian astro sports - pool is very clean however not open till 8am or would be great if they could clean and open an hour earlier and maybe little later in evenings as the heat in LGK requires a cool off!!
