A very good hotel in alor setar in term of service, facilities and even locations. Walking distance to the biggest shopping mall in Alor Setar which named Aman Central. The breakfast also great. Sedap. The bed so comfy. Just needed little bit upgraded in wash room. Others ok, the best..i got view of Menara Alor Setar

I've experienced the breakfast has been a lot of improvement since my stay last year. With the taste and varieties of drinks and meal. Unfortunately I handle my luggages from the check in to check out. No staff to offer help since I was coming with my toddler. Only the trolley was attended to my request. Then need to manage all by myself

The hotel stay was decent, but there were a couple of areas that could use improvement. The location isn’t particularly convenient, especially if you’re planning to explore the city or access public transportation easily. Additionally, the amenities felt outdated and could benefit from modernization to better match current guest expectations. Overall, it’s a suitable choice if location and up-to-date facilities aren’t top priorities.

I enjoyed my stay here and very satisfied with the services. The staff were friendly and approachable. The room was clean and comfortable. As I stayed during Ramadan, they provided ‘Sahur Menu’ at 4.30 am for you to enjoy it privately in your room. What a service. Near to Masjid Zahir and Bazar Ramadan as well. Thanks for the good service and highly recommend !!

This was my first trip with my boyfriend. We researched accommodations online and found many positive reviews about A Rock, so we decided to stay there for our 4-day, 3-night trip to Langkawi. Overall, the service was quite good, and I was satisfied with our stay. The only downside was that the resort is located on a hill, requiring a drive up to reach it. Other than that, everything was great, and breakfast was included for all days.

Beautiful views, but disappointing stay. The ocean views from the resort were truly stunning — easily the highlight of the trip. Unfortunately, the rest didn’t live up to expectations. Our room had dirty floors, dusty corners, and borderline acceptable sheets. The resort felt run down, and the infinity pool water was so filthy and cloudy. Adding to the discomfort, there was a week-long navy event with loud sirens and cannon blasts starting early each day — none of which was communicated to guests beforehand. A real letdown overall.

Service was good. It was a quick overnight stay, good basic clean hotel. Best I’ve ever stayed in Alor Star. Only problem was the entrance to the hotel is from the main road .

Wonderful hotel at a nice price. The location is perfect, the room was clean, they cleaned it every day, a couple of cockroaches were noticed and they were destroyed just as quickly 😅 I saw it written about earlier, but I live in Asia, so it didn't scare me, here it's +- normal. We didn't go into the pool, somehow there was no time for it, and it's more for children. We stayed for a couple of days and were satisfied.

Everything was perfect. Plenty of restaurants , very helpful staff very good breakfast This was my 3rd time to Berjaya Hotel and Resort before it was 4 star hotel now they have upgraded to the 5* Hotel & Resort. I like the rainforest chalets are very relaxable in a jungle itself. I request them if they can put extra handle shower or a small tap because sometimes you need to wash only feet, its not good to use the ceiling shower and get wet all body.,

My stay at the hotel was just nice. While the room was clean and quiet, the water pressure was slow, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, parking was difficult to find, which added some inconvenience to the overall experience.
