Stayed at Youzanso during late March 2023. It was during the cherry blossom season. We (family of four) had the room with the Lake Otsu view and private bath. The room was sufficient for 4 of us but I wouldn't call it spacious. However, the room and bathroom were clean. The room came with dinner and breakfast for 4 of us and costed about AUD800. The dinner and breakfast was quite good and would recommend to anyone considering the half board. It might get old if u were staying for few days but we were only there for one night. We toured Kyoto for the day and stayed here overnight then went back to kyoto for more sightseeing. It wasn't as convenient as if you stayed in Kyoto but the travel wasn't long or difficult. The property is bit dated and looks more like a hotel than a ryokan. The facilities are clean but also look dated as well. However, the public onsen is great, clean and the outdoor bath is a must. When visiting Kyoto, we wanted to enjoy some time in an onsen resort so we decided to spend two nights in Ogoto Onsen. After checking the details in their website, we booked a ”Biwa no kaze”room with private onsen and view of Lake Biwako. And we were not disappointed. The room looks newly renovated, and is very spacious with two beds and sitting area plus a tatami room. They offer different dinner packages, and we have chosen crab with steak as the main dishes for the first night, and lobster with shabu-shabu the second night. The foods were of very high quality, tasted and looked very nice. The breakfast buffet was very good with a wide selection of different items. The ryokan is excellent in nearly all aspects. We would stay here again when we next visit Kyoto.

I chose Daiwa because of its location is by the lake location and not too far away from Kurokabe distance. Daiwa is famous for good price performance ratio, meaning not expensive room rate yet providing quality room and service. The hotel lobby is grand, and you pick up the bathroom amenities at lobby yourselves. Check in was smooth but you have to bring your own luggage to your room. The hotel charge you Yen 500 for parking per night but give you Yen 500 voucher in return which you can spend in the hotel, not a bad deal. The hotel also provides a shuttle bus service to the Nagahama station for hotel guests if you are not driving. Even taking a taxi from the station to hotel is not more than 5 minutes. The station is just a few minutes walks to the famous Kurokabe Plaza and its surrounding waling streets. Yukata is available on each floor lobby where you pick your selection and size. We were allocated at the corner room which is very spacious, overlooking the lake and the pier, with windows on two sides, and therefore, very bright when the weather is sunny. We reserved a dinner in the booking with the hotel. The dinner is served in the function. It was a multi course dinner with various cooking method of Omi beef, including stew, hot pot and grill, plus a variety of other dishes such as sashimi. Server is very good and the staff are trying hard to communicate with us in English. The onsen on the ground floor is not very big, but the two nights we stayed are Friday and Saturday, so there were extremely many people. There is a souvenir shop which opens until 9pm, a bit early. After we checked out the hotel, we walked around the Nagahama Castle Park which is five minutes walk away from hotel. The castle was built by Toyotomi Hideyoshi in the sixteen century but the current castle is a re-built. We dined at the hotel lobby tea lounge for lunch. But the meal was probably the worst meal I have ever had in Japan over the years. I think a tea should be fine with a good view of the lake. The location of the hotel, and the service quality makes an ideal choice when staying in Nagahama.

昨年6月　草津ｴﾘｱを旅行時　こちらを利用し　気に入ったので　今年[日野][湖南三山]を妻と旅行時　再度利用しました。今回　利用したのは《ｻｳｽｳｲﾝｸﾞ・ﾋﾞｼﾞﾈｽ仕様、21m2 ﾍﾞｯﾄﾞ幅 160cm》を2室。前回のｼｰｽﾙｰﾊﾞｽﾙｰﾑ（19m2）に対し　2m2広いだけですが　ﾊﾞｽﾙｰﾑ（含む　ﾄｲﾚ/洗面所）が非常に使い易いﾚｲｱｳﾄになっており　特に　ｼｬﾜｰをﾊﾞｽﾀﾌﾞの外で使用できることも加え　居住性がｸﾞｯと良く感じました。又　大きなﾃﾞｽｸ(180 x 55cm)があり　名前の通り　出張等で利用時　部屋内で仕事も可能となっています。朝食は　前回宿泊時《和洋折衷ﾒｲﾝﾌﾟﾚｰﾄ+ﾊｰﾌﾋﾞｭｯﾌｴｽﾀｲﾙ》でしたが　今回は　滋賀県の食材を使用した《ﾋﾞｭｯﾌｴｽﾀｲﾙ》で　ﾒﾆｭｰも多く　価値ありの朝食です。

My partner and I thorougly enjoyed our stay at Biwako Hotel. All rooms face the beautiful Lake Biwako and the view was perfect. We even caught a snowfall on one of our mornings here. The staff was great and always friendly even when there was a slight language barrier. We tried their breakfast as well which was really good. Highly recommend renting their electric bikes and cycling around the lake during sunset. And also going for the Lake Biwako Cruise! The hotel onsen is wonderful as well, we will definitely be back

I stayed at ４／６. I was aiming for cherry blossoms in Kyoto, but the hotel fee in Kyoto city was too high and it has flowed to this point. I think it's cheap with ８６００ yen including breakfast. It takes more than ３０ minutes to Kyoto, but if you think about the price, it's nothing. Also, the disadvantage is that the large communal bath is a little small and the number of breakfast items is less than I thought, but I think it is acceptable for the price. It is harder to have an unexpectedly few places to eat dinner around the hotel. There are few shops themselves, and there are only chain stores nationwide.

Came here with family during the Sakura season. It's easy to get to the onset hotel. After arriving at the Ogoto Onsen JR station, towards the south exit you will find a cell phone attached to a board with explanation how to use the phone to call one of the onsen hotels. After the call, their shuttle bus will then come and pick you up between 2pm to 6pm I think. The hotel staff in general are very welcoming. Our family scored a deal with their penthouse suite with private indoor and outdoor onsen. Four of us stayed in the suite and the price is only slightly more than four of us staying in 2 regular rooms. It also came with a beautiful fruit platter for you to enjoy. The suite is very spacious with 2 separate toilets. The bath area has 2 sinks, a shower stall as well as a japanese style bathing area connected to the 2 onsen baths (indoor one is a hinoki wood tub and the outdoor one is a stone one. The outdoor onsen does have a slight privacy issue as there are some residential buildings in a distance. While my mom was a bit too modest to use the outdoor one (which I am not and fully enjoyed it), she did take full advantage of the indoor private onsen. Of course the hotel also has a public onsen for the guests. In fact they have two. One in each towers. I used the one on the top floor in the morning and it was a bless seeing the sunrise while soaking in the hot onsen water. Our package also included both dinner and breakfast that were served at their private dining room. Both meals were done in kaiseki style. We were particularly impressed by their dinner. Not only was it cooked with high quality ingredients and with beautiful presentation, they did not skimp on the quantity as well. Often after eating dinner at other onsen hotel, I would not feel full and actually felt a bit hungry later at night, at Yumotokan the courses kept coming and I was completely stuffed at the end. In fact I did not finish the rice even though it was so yummy (cooked from scratch in front of us with a flamed mini-stove). All in all, a very satisfactory experience. I can recommend anyone who comes to Kyoto/Osaka and wants an excursion and experiences the traditional Japanese onsen.

I occasionally stay at love hotels. I think it's natural for two people to take a bath together. The bathtub was a single-person tub (my first experience). It was disappointing that it was too big for two people. The hair dryer was so worn out that the plating around the switch had peeled off. That's fine, but it wouldn't turn on and I couldn't use it. My wife's hair ended up being half-dried when we left the hotel. I didn't want to have to call the front desk to have it replaced. There was a step of about 10cm when going to the bath, toilet, and washroom. I wish it was barrier-free. The price when I applied for and made the reservation on this site, the amount charged by the credit card company, and the price list in the room (for weekdays up to Thursday) were all different, which I found strange. The difference in price was small, so I didn't mind. Overall, I understood that the room was worth the price and left satisfied. (Room only) Thank you.

It was a great stay at this ryokan! The hotel is able to arrange a car to fetch you from the JR station. You can call them using a dedicated phone at the station which is used to contact the different ryokans. The car arrived in 10mins or so. The ride to the ryokan was also less than 10mins. The hotel also fetched us to the station on the last day of our stay. The ryokan itself is homely and cozy. We were greeted by an english speaking staff who introduced us to the amenities of the ryokan. There was also a nice welcome tea and matcha chocolate. Our bags were brought to our room as well during this time. The room is spacious and cozy. The hotel prepared 2 welcome biscuits in the room which was a nice personal touch. The room has a nice living room and a great view of Lake Biwa. Recommend to catch the sunrise over the lake! There are 2 normal beds as well as futon beds (need to set up yourself). Both are comfortable. The hotel also prepared pretty yukata for both female and male guests which you can wear during the stay. There are 4 different designs for ladies, and one design for the guys. You can request for different size if the one in the room doesn’t fit you. There is also a full length mirror and a mini dressing area at the side of the living room. It was fun dressing up in the yukata! The toilet, basin, shower and hot tub areas are all separate. The toilet is a little small, but the basin and mirror area is very spacious. The shower area is quite small as well and the shower head is rather low so you need to hold the shower head if you wish to wash up while standing. There is a small stool given for you to sit down though. The hot tub area is semi-outdoor and you can see Lake Biwa. But it is quite small (only good for one person). It was too cold so we didn’t use the hot tub. Instead, we booked the private onsen for 50mins. The private onsen has a private toilet and dressing area which is equipped with hairdryer, body lotion etc. There is a water dispenser as well if you need to hydrate yourself. The onsen area has a washing area, and the hot tub area is spacious for 2 person. There are privacy screens around the onsen area but there is a small gap to let in cold air for ventilation. Wish there is a good view from the private onsen but it was still enjoyable! Dinner and breakfast was Kaiseki style, and the meals were one of the highlights for my husband and I. We really enjoyed the courses which are clean tasting yet wholesome, fresh and flavourful. It was such a sumptuous treat! The ryokan also has a souvenir shop if you wish to buy anything back. Overall, my husband and I really enjoyed the stay here and we agreed this was one of the main highlights of our 12 days trip in Japan. Highly recommend!

It is a hotel located on the top of Shiga Prefecture and onsen. The building itself is old, but the room is renovated and new. The super public bath Agaryanse is available here. It is convenient because there are convenience stores and ramen shops in front of the hotel. Mineral water was also available for people. The room on the Lake Biwa side is large and the scenery is good. Depending on the plan, you can use the next day's ayakanse for free. I think it is a style that you can enjoy the ayakanse slowly and stay.

This time, there was a situation ... Indoor bath, pet (dog), room meal, nearby hot spring inn or hotel that can be reached in a short time by car ... ”Kikunoya” was a hit. All the staff (including signboard dog, taro taro) love dogs and pets! I felt the cozy atmosphere, the feeling, and I was very satisfied with the attentive service, delicious food, hot springs and rooms. I stayed in ”Kono” in the room, but it was barrier-free, very clean, large, and the height of the sofa and bed was low and appropriate so that it was safe even if the dog jumped. It was very comfortable. Of course, the facilities for cage and other pets are also complete. I'm really glad I chose ”Kikunoya”. I also want to come to Oja. Thank you.

　It will arrive at JR Kusatsu Station in 5 minutes walk, but it may be difficult to find because it is along a narrow road for the first time. Get off the east exit and turn right along the supermarket called Hankyu Oasis. The hotel itself is small as a business use, but it is clean enough and no problem. The front desk also has a calm and kind and comfortable response. I think the cover under the washbasin in the bathroom in the room I stayed in was broken and broken, but I happen to think. (The black gap in the washbasin in the center of the attached image was made by the cover broken. I told the front desk at check-out, so I think it is repaired immediately. If you say breakfast, I felt a lot of Japanese types, but you can also get curry from the morning, and there are many types of drinks as a business hotel? I was a room by the elevator, but I didn't care about the noise from the elevator, but the voice of other guests laughing loudly in the hallway was a slide. Also, it is unavoidable because of the station Chika, but the noise of the freight train passing through the station without stopping at the station early in the morning is quite invading from the outer wall. Other hotels have no welcome drinks that have recently increased, and instead, there is a lounge where you can get coffee at a fee.

I stayed with my family for 2 nights for purposes. I chose this one near the station because of the location, but the room is a business hotel type and is by no means large. Is it kept clean? I couldn't deny that the equipment was aging, so I entered the room and there was a spot that was noticeable. Although it is 2 consecutive nights, the card key will not work at 11 o'clock the next day, probably because I booked one night at a time, and an error occurred. I asked the front desk to deal with two stories, but I went to the front desk again without apologizing and went to the front desk again. From the time of check-in, I couldn't feel the service spirit at all at the front desk, and it was clerical. This hotel seems to have nothing to do with that. Because there are usually more people cleaning the room for one night, the aunt uses the entire corridor to spread the used linen in each room, and it is difficult to walk in the corridor. The elevator is also occupied by a linen transport cart around 1100-1300, and it is difficult to get there. It's okay if you just sleep, but it feels a little expensive for that room and service.

2 nights and 3 days with my wife We used 1 nights on Kusatsu ｴﾘｱ trip [other 1 nights are ﾎﾃﾙ ﾎﾞｽﾄﾝﾌﾟﾗｻﾞ Kusatsu (SOUTH WING)]. Since this ｼﾝｸﾞﾙ was 15m2, we used 2 rooms ｺﾝﾌｫｰﾄ ﾂｲﾝ (room ｽﾍﾟｰｽ 23m2 ﾍﾞｯﾄﾞ width 120cm x2 TV 32 ｲﾝﾁ) considering the residence. Compared to the nearby ﾎﾃﾙ ﾎﾞｽﾄﾝﾌﾟﾗｻﾞ Kusatsu, there is a difference between ｼﾝｸﾞﾙﾕｰｽ and ﾀﾞﾌﾞﾙ of ﾂｲﾝ, so I can't compare it simply, but my wife here is a large mirror with a lighting lamp (see attached photograph) in ﾃﾞｽｸ You can make up while you sit. There is ｽﾍﾟｰｽ to put small things on the washbasin, and the clothes hanging is closed ﾄﾞｱ, and the clothes are not visible, ﾊﾞｽﾙｰﾑ ｱﾒﾆﾃｲ is POLA, and ﾊﾞｽﾀﾌﾞ can be soaked greatly and relaxed. In the sense of comfort when a woman stays It was priced. Breakfast was ﾚｽﾄﾗﾝ on the first floor, but I don't know because I didn't take it for the convenience of the itinerary.　　

Toyoko inn is ４ in Shiga Prefecture. Even the oldest is Otsu (No.210), maibara (250), Hikone (274), and Minami Kusatsu (286) here are relatively new. The basic service of each building as Toyoko Inn seems to be almost the same. I think ”Please take care of four buildings in Kyoto a little more”, but Kyoto and Shiga are very close next door. It may be because the navigation and map were old, but it is easy to get lost. It does not display it if it does not expand. Shiga is not an expression of the position relationship with Lake Biwa, but it is difficult to explain the road order. Is it a few minutes walk from the north exit of Minami Kusatsu Station on the Biwa Lake (Tokaido) line to the southwest? There are coin parking around, and there are many condominiums near the station. Depending on the day of the week, you may be able to take breakfast slowly.

Because it was a renewed open hotel in October 2017, the rooms were bright, clean and large and very comfortable. I thought it was a big hotel because it was 8 stories, but up to 5 floor, the rooms were small hotel only on 6 ～ 8 floor in the office. Breakfast was a bit poor but we were able to specify the main dishes the day before. The paid parking lot that the guests will be free was large and I was not worried. It was close to the station so I didn't have any trouble with dinner.

Choose here for business trips, the hotel is very clean, the room flyers are changed every day. The single room size is not very large, but it is enough for early departure and late return every day. Great!

Hotel location is general, located on the side of the bridge, the train station needs to take a taxi, when leaving the store, the hotel arranges the car to send to the station 👍 Dinner breakfast is very carefully configured and carefully prepared 👍 The room is a standard room, the hot spring indoors and outdoors are good.

スタッフの方の連携が取れておらず、とても不快な思いをしました。 朝食に関しては地元ベーカリーのパンを謳っていますが、ベーカリーのパンは出てこなかったです。 2度と利用しません。 Never use this hotel again! Bad communication among staff. No bakery made bread at breakfast as it promoted.

It was a full service such as free breakfast and large bath (reservation system). Especially, breakfast was happy with chicken tea pickles. The staff also responded very flexible and made me feel good.

The 'Setre Marina Biwako' oozes luxury. From the moment you arrive at the entrance & check-in, to the moment you depart, you will be spoilt rotten. Everything about this facility is total perfection - the staff, although very formal, are also casual & friendly, the room is very well appointed with great views across the lake with the Hira Mountains in the distance, the facilities are top rate and the food is what you would experience at any top class restaurant anywhere in the world. Tip-1 - when you check-in you are given a card telling you the sunset time and I suggest, if the weather is fine-&-clear, you absorb the great view as the sun sets behind the mountain rage. Tip-2 - pour yourself a glass of red wine, get a plate with some nibbles and head to the roof and check-out the view. Tip-3 - don't be in a hurry at dinner, savor the food, wash it down with a nice wine (it took my wife and I 2.5-hours to make our way through the menu). Tip-4 - have your breakfast in your room. Tip-5 - bring some cycling gear and take advantage of the free cycles and head-off over the Biwako-ohashi (bridge) and check-out the view from the top. Everything is included in the cost of your stay so, whatever your purpose for staying at the 'Setre Marina Biwako, you will come-away totally refreshed.

I occasionally stay at love hotels. I think it's natural for two people to take a bath together. The bathtub was a single-person tub (my first experience). It was disappointing that it was too big for two people. The hair dryer was so worn out that the plating around the switch had peeled off. That's fine, but it wouldn't turn on and I couldn't use it. My wife's hair ended up being half-dried when we left the hotel. I didn't want to have to call the front desk to have it replaced. There was a step of about 10cm when going to the bath, toilet, and washroom. I wish it was barrier-free. The price when I applied for and made the reservation on this site, the amount charged by the credit card company, and the price list in the room (for weekdays up to Thursday) were all different, which I found strange. The difference in price was small, so I didn't mind. Overall, I understood that the room was worth the price and left satisfied. (Room only) Thank you.

I stayed here because they offered free co-sleeping. The room was clean and the hotel was stylish, but they gave me a printed explanation of how to use the hotel, and it said that pillows and other items for co-sleeping children would be provided free of charge if you told the front desk, but in reality they don't lend them to co-sleeping children. That's just an excuse, and in reality they probably don't have enough pillows because there are so many guests. Please be careful if you are traveling with children during peak season. I decided to stay here after reading the reviews on Google, and the description of the separate bath was good, so I decided to stay here, but it wasn't until I stayed there that I realized that unit bath types are also common. I wish there were more clear options when making reservations. Also, small children were using the elevator by themselves and playing around the drink bar and the front desk. The children were not at fault, and the parents were not very strict, but I think the hotel should tell the front desk in advance that it is dangerous for children to act alone in the hotel and to refrain from doing so. I think an accident will happen soon. The quality of the izakaya directly connected to the hotel is also too low. I stayed there for two days, but the restaurants in front of Moriyama Station seemed to be of low quality overall. There are other minor issues, but I think the hotel could have improved if the above points could be improved.

My Wife & I came to the Omihachiman area for some R & R and sightseeing. We booked a night at the Biwako Plaza Hotel. The hotel has seen better days, that is not a criticism, but we felt we got value-for-money. The receptionist was very friendly & helpful. Our room was very spacious and clean with a great view overlooking Lake Biwa and the Biwa-ohashi Bridge. The hotel is smoking/non-smoking hotel, again not a criticism but, you can request a non-smoking room. We were given vouchers for a nearby Spa facility. The breakfast was also value-for-money and plentiful. The hotel is ideally situated with many restaurants nearby and a large shopping mall about 5-minutes walk.
