Perhaps this Sheraton use to be good in the past, but now this hotel only pretending to be 5star. Really rooms is fine, but everything needs repair, everywhere is cracks on the walls and dirty corners in the bathroom. Everyday housekeeping should clean better and wear glasses to see dust everywhere. One thing is good is clean beddings and comfortable bed so you may enjoy view to pool and sea side, which cost 100$. But is you go around this lovely swimming pool you will see a lot of cigarette ends, dust, rubbish and broken tiles on the floor, which is right time to repair. One more note about restaurant, we try some food like pizza etc., meal is with low quality and then later I got problem with stomach. Thanks Heaven there is nice faces on reception who thy to help me anytime. Big hello to managers of Sheraton who forgot to check rooms of hotel completely, before to sell your room hotel manager shoul know what they sell to clients.

I can't say I stay in a proper Hotel. This hotel holds the name of the Hilton but it was a terrible experience. The first problem is the bathroom. Shower equipment was broken, it was very hard to maintain the water temperature and pressure. The design of the bathtubs-shower combination was horrible. You need to step up into the bath tube and it is so dangerous. The breakfast was very good but the coffee and tea were terrific. A good hotel can't buy an automatic espresso machine. They were serving low quality instant coffee. And I couldn't even drink a proper Turkish tea. Location is not bad and the city view was avarage.

Lovely and comfy room. In an odd location about half hour taxi from airport public transport not a viable option really especially with suitcases. Taxis will also try to hustle more money out of you so avoid toll routes if you can doesn’t make much difference. Breakfast was great good selection and alternate milk for allergy sufferers gym was small but compact had enough basic machines pool area small and no outdoor pool or sunbathing location, about 25 mins cab to Istanbul central.

Review of Wanda Vista Hotel. My stay at the Wanda Vista Hotel had its positives, but also quite a few frustrating issues. The hotel itself was nice, and the room was comfortable, but the location wasn’t ideal since it’s right on a highway, making it less convenient for exploring the area. Aside from that, it was okay, but there were several maintenance problems that definitely affected my experience. The biggest issue was that the room had several things broken, and despite bringing it to the staff’s attention, nothing was really fixed except for the door. The shower leaked all over the floor by the sink, which was both annoying and a safety hazard, but no one bothered to fix it. The skirting board was also broken, adding to the feeling that the room wasn’t being properly maintained. On top of that, we had an apartment with a kitchen, but the hotel refused to provide any kitchen accessories unless we were staying for more than 10 days, which seemed like a ridiculous rule. It didn’t make sense to have a kitchen that we couldn’t actually use. After complaining, I eventually got the accessories, but it was frustrating that I even had to go through that process in the first place.Overall, while the hotel had potential, the lack of proper maintenance and the odd policies made the stay less enjoyable than it could have been. If they paid more attention to fixing issues and improving customer service, it could be a much better experience.

The hotel was a great place to stay especially if you need to be to the airport in the morning. We took advantage to go to the pool and the spa while we were there. The pool was very nice and pretty clean. Also the spa was nice but unfortunately while I was there the turkish bath was being ”scrubbed” even though there was no one inside cleaning and I couldn't use it but I could still relax in the sauna and the finnish bath. The room was good, no noise from the street even though we were on that side of the hotel. Check in and check out were very good and breakfast was pretty good as well. I would recommend staying there.

I had a really good experience with the reception staff during my stay. They were super friendly and made checking in a breeze. It definitely started my trip off on the right foot!On the flip side, the bellboy and the guy at the entrance were a bit clueless. They didn’t offer any help with my luggage, which was kind of a letdown after a long journey. A little assistance would’ve gone a long way!Overall, my stay was pretty decent. The location of the hotel is fantastic—really easy to get to all the cool spots nearby. So while there were some bumps in service, it wasn’t a dealbreaker.

I am extremely disappointed with the attitude of the reception staff. My wife, child, and I booked and prepaid for a Family Suite with multiple beds and a Pool View. Instead, we were assigned a room with only a king-size bed and no small bed for our child. The room description on their official website clearly shows a small bed, and this was also confirmed in my booking confirmation, as shown in the attached screenshot. After complaining, the reception offered to provide a foldable bed— okay, we got it, but it wasn't what we wanted when searching for a hotel. Later, when showering in the evening, we noticed only two towels for three people. I contacted reception, and they initially sent two bathrobes. Using a translation app, I requested an additional towel, and after a few minutes, they delivered three towels. Overall, the service was poor. To summarize: 1. The hotel provided a room meant for a couple, not a family. 2. The room lacked the second bed as advertised, only having one. 3. There were only two sets of towels for three guests. 4. There were stains in the bathroom as visible in one of the photos. 5. The swimming pool was out of order. It feels like we were downgraded because we arrived late and only stayed overnight. My assumption is that the reception gave our original room to someone else. Instead, we received a room the same/similar in size but intended for a couple. Maybe I'm wrong, that’s the impression I have. This hotel does not deserve a 5-star rating; at best, it is a 3-star. I usually stay alone in this area when traveling, and last year, I stayed at a 3-star hotel on the same street that offered better service.

AAnastasiospapadakisWe truly loved every bit of demiray hotel from the aesthetic of the reception , the rooms , the breakfast , the rooftop view everything if I were you and I was looking for a perfect hotel in istanbul I would not search anymore let me be more specific: We were greeted by the beautiful Ezgi at the reception with a smile and friendly attitude that made us feel like we were visiting friends and family , since i also work in the same field this is what we strive for a perfect check in , she politely gave us complimentary tea and turkish coffee and handed us the keys to the room always eager to help us with any information after explaining the times of breakfast and the hotels included free access areas ( swimming pool, hammam , turkish bath , sauna ) , Hasan the bellboy then took our stuff explaining in detail what is included in the room water and the amenities were complimentary tap water is not safe to drink in istanbul but all the bellboys always brought us water anytime we needed and with a smile . In the first night we stayed in the hotel we had a issue with the shower phone it was fixed but It broke again the next day , Mert who was at the night shift at the time gave us a complimentary upgrade and also he told us that if possible the change could happen on his shift and not the other shift , I write this down because since I work on this field i find Mert to be a very good , hardworking professional and excellent colleague since he solved a issue so quick in order to not bother the next shift , truly a excellent receptionist and he has my respect . On the third day of our stay we did a huge walk from taksim to the Hotel but we didn't eat anything we arrived back at the hotel and we wanted to order food , Emroh when I told him my request which as a front office manager myself i know it is not a part of the receptionist duties especially at night , immediately spoke with his colleague and they ordered us a pizza which was amazing we left the cash and went to the room , it shows Emroh can go above and beyond for demiray hotel customers and deserves a big applause . On the last day I requested a late check out to Emroh which was accepted and it made us very happy since we could come back take a shower and leave , the hotel has a luggage room which was very convenient . As for the breakfast it was Huge with great cold and warm options which change everyday , Cansu and the rest of the staff always assisted us with a smile and made our day from the beginning ! I have to applaud the housekeeping team esma and selma which cleaned the room to perfection and made us a beautiful design see picture bellow and since we know housekeeping is difficult for everyone we tried our best to keep the room as clean as possible . Our room was beautiful with a bathtub and it had an beautiful design and a very comfortable big sized bed . The rooftop has a 360 view of the bosphorus with view of the Hagia Sophia Galata and all the other mosques trully amazing ( Photos bellow ) . One of the most important things to note which impressed us is that Ugur the manager was always on duty ready to help, he spoke perfect English and he also looked the part with a stunning suit and a beautiful red patterned tie , it is very important for the hotel to have a nice team and this is what the manager does the best , as a front office manager myself I know Ugur has made an amazing team consisting of great all rounded receptionists that all in their unique ways made our stay memorable and amazing and deserves a big applause for his work . We truly loved everything and everyone at the Demiray Hotel and we cannot wait to be back soon . Sending lots of love from Greece ❤️ Room 104 : Anastasios + Ofelia

GGuest UserWe got to the hotel after midnight and was told that the room is flooded and no other room available for now. We were sent to a different hotel and told that they would have a room for us in the morning. They sent us from Crowne Plaza to Ramada (an outrageous downgrade). We slept a few hours at Ramada and checked out and returned to the front desk of Crowne Plaza. The lady at the front desk told us that there were still no room for us and we had to go back to the Ramada again. We told her we would like to speak to her manager, and she said she is the manager. I told her that the arrangement is not acceptable. Finally, she said that a room would be available in 20 minutes. What a ridiculous experience!

GGuest UserI booked one night with city view and one night with sea view. I feel that the city view is better than the sea view because there is a Strait Restaurant on the 22nd floor, where you can eat while enjoying the Strait view, but you can't see the city view. At the same time, the city view is very beautiful, but the Strait view is not so beautiful because it is far away. It is better to take a boat to the Strait to experience it. The most important thing is that the city view is cheaper. This is just my personal opinion~

Great
GGuest UserHere’s a more polished and detailed version of your review: I recently stayed at this hotel and had a generally positive experience, though there were some areas for improvement. Upon arrival, the night staff was very friendly and welcoming, which set a great first impression. The hotel itself is one of the cleanest 5-star hotels I’ve stayed in—and I’ve stayed in quite a few. Every corner of the property was spotless, which I really appreciated. The breakfast, however, could be improved. While the selection was decent, I felt it lacked variety and quality in some aspects. That being said, the restaurant staff provided excellent customer service, making the dining experience more pleasant. The bed was a little too firm for my preference, which made sleeping slightly uncomfortable. While this is a matter of personal preference, it might be worth considering options for softer bedding or mattress toppers. The front desk staff during the day were friendly on my first day, but by the second day, I noticed a decline in service. I’m not sure what changed, but the level of attentiveness and hospitality didn’t feel the same. Additionally, I believe the front-line staff should improve their English skills, as clear communication is essential in a 5-star establishment catering to international guests. While the overall service was good, the hotel’s location is quite far from most attractions (except for the nearby outlets). This means you’ll need to rely on taxis frequently, which can add up in cost and time. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the chance to visit the spa, but based on the rest of the hotel’s standards, I imagine it would have been a great experience. Overall, while there were a few minor issues, I still had a pleasant stay. With some improvements in breakfast, front desk service consistency, and language skills, this hotel could be truly exceptional. Would I stay again? Possibly—but I’d consider other options based on location and convenience.

DDhaval_VyasA good sized and reasonably maintained hotel. Very close to Underground Metro station, and 15 min walk to the nearest Tram station. Bus stop is just 50m away from the hotel. These transport options makes it a great location to access the tourist centre of Istanbul. Breakfast was varied daily and staff are friendly. Rooms and floor decor could do better with a bit of revamp, but I it still is in very good condition, just feels out of fashion. I will certainly choose it to stay again if I ever visited the city.
