The hotel is conveniently located near Nagasaki station (about or less than ten minutes walking) and a five minute walk to the bus station that has buses that go to Fukuoka airport, Kumamoto, etc.
It's a standard Japanese business hotel that is basically clean, spacious enough, and the staff is efficient and will help with the self check-in kiosks. There are FREE luggage lockers in the lobby that guests can use prior to checking in at the hotel starting around 3 or 4 pm (I forgot the exact time).
Getting to and from the airport by bus is super convenient; it's only a minute's walk from the bus stop. Right across from the hotel is a bustling shopping street, and there's a 7-Eleven just around the corner downstairs.
**Facilities:** We booked a double room. With two adults and our ten-year-old child, we pushed the beds together. As we're all quite tall, we found the sleeping arrangement surprisingly spacious and comfortable.
**Cleanliness:** The bathroom's separate wet and dry areas were absolutely brilliant! Spotlessly clean too.
10 min walk from jr Nagasaki with luggage. 3 mins walk from you me where there's a big supermarket,Starbucks ,Uniqlo n. Pre-owned luxury bag shop. Also 5 mins walk from the port area where U can watch the sun set over the hills while having dinner or drinks. 10 mins walk from most yakiniku restaurants, but reservations are needed at peak times 6-8 pm......if it's full, ask what time to return for a table....most likely tables will be available after 8.
The Nagasaki Shianbashi Richmond Hotel, a 3-star business hotel, underwent renovation in 2023 and boasts excellent overall quality. The hotel's strongest asset is its prime location – Shianbashi tram station is just a one-minute walk away, and JR Nagasaki Station is a quick 10-minute ride. The Hamamachi shopping district and Shinchi Chinatown are also within easy walking distance, making it incredibly convenient for shopping sprees or savoring local delicacies like Nagasaki Chawanmushi and sushi.
The guest rooms are equipped with practical amenities, including air conditioning, a refrigerator, and a flat-screen TV. A thoughtful touch is the option to request daily housekeeping service directly via the TV. The beds are comfortable, and some room types offer ample space, ensuring families don't feel cramped. The 24-hour front desk staff are communicative and provide warm service, promptly addressing guest inquiries such as parking directions and transportation advice for sightseeing.
In terms of hotel facilities, a laundry room, free WiFi, and self-check-in options are available, catering well to both business travelers and independent tourists. While some guests have noted the breakfast price of 2000 JPY to be a bit high, the extensive selection, including Nagasaki specialties, means its value for money can be subjective. It's worth noting that parking is available in a mechanical car park for a fee. While there are numerous restaurants on the ground floor beneath the hotel, especially at night, the soundproofing is decent and generally doesn't disturb sleep.
Overall, the hotel stands out for its convenient transportation, clean environment, and practical facilities. It's ideal for travelers prioritizing efficiency and value for money, comfortably meeting the basic needs of both business and leisure guests.
The location is superb, directly connected to the JR station and a large shopping mall, offering abundant dining and shopping choices. All major attractions are easily accessible by bus right from the hotel entrance.
To reach the hotel, take the airport limousine bus directly from Exit 5 of the airport. For your return trip, the airport bus stop is conveniently located just a 3-5 minute walk across a pedestrian bridge. The journey takes approximately 40 minutes one way, and timetables are available at the front desk.
The hotel's concierge service is excellent; they can help book the Mt. Inasa night view tour. This is very convenient as it includes pick-up and drop-off right at the hotel entrance, lasts about 80 minutes, and costs 2000 JPY per person.
As noted by many reviewers, the rooms are exceptionally spacious with great views, and feature excellent water pressure and strong air conditioning.
The staff was super nice! The hotel room was spacious and I had a nice view. It was near China town and also Dejima was at walking distance. In fact, I could go to most places I wanted by walking (I do love walking). I loved the free 24h coffee machine and the free amenities were nice. I would definitely go again.
The room was quite spacious, and they offer complimentary soy sauce ramen in the evenings. There's a 7-Eleven conveniently located downstairs.
After a long day of walking, soaking in the onsen is incredibly relaxing. On the same floor as the onsen, there are washing machines; washing is free, and drying costs 100 JPY for 20 minutes. You can easily do your laundry while enjoying the hot springs. Please note that the onsens are gender-separated, and you need to wash thoroughly before entering. Everyone is nude, so swimsuits are not allowed!
The location is a bit of a walk from Nagasaki Station, taking about 5-8 minutes.
Check-in is handled by a machine with Chinese translation available, making it completely hassle-free.
Great location and great hotel. Very accessible and near to malls and attractions. The hotel has amazing restaurants from fine dining to more affordable food halls - you’ll really never go hungry! 😊And if you’re planning to watch sports games at The Stadium, the hotel has direct access to premium boxes 😊 you’re watching without really leaving the hotel. It’s really the best place to stay. Also, the tram and other public transports are just a walk away!

GGuest UserI stayed there solely to use the EV charger. It seemed like an older hotel, but the room was larger and cleaner than I expected, and I had a very comfortable stay. The breakfast buffet wasn't as flashy as a city hotel, but everything was delicious, and the staff were very accommodating to families with infants, so I was very satisfied (the photo shows the view from the breakfast area). The large public bath had two types: an open-air bath and a panoramic bath, and at the entrance there was a selection of luxury shampoos, conditioners, and oils to choose from. I was happy to be able to try a brand I'd been wanting to try. If I had to point out one drawback, it would be that I hadn't made a reservation for dinner, so I had to go out to eat. There was no restaurant in the hotel where I could casually eat that day. However, it was a wonderful hotel that was worth more than the price. Thank you very much.
MMohanmode9955The location is fantastic and easy to find – just off the main road opposite Chinatown, down the street shown in the second picture. There's a supermarket right by the entrance, which is super convenient for grabbing water and snacks. The room itself is quite spacious for Japan, and all the facilities are in good condition.

GGuest Uservery conveniently near the glover garden and the attractions. You wouldn't go hungry/bored.
lucky for us there was 1 available parking spot (you will have to pay the front desk)
check in was smooth, room had all the amenities you need. it was a smart layout. a little squeezy luggage wise for 4p ax so we just took turns to open our luggages.
Never stayed much within the compound but looks chill. Their amenities are self service. Room is clean
LLvjingGreat in value for families who are planning to go Huis Ten Bosch park. The room is spacious and have everything you need. There’s hotel shuttle runs every 20 min to bring you to the park. If you arrive after 7pm, call the hotel reception at the luggage reception (in car park 2), they will send car to come and fetch you. Great service!
SSooI recently stayed at this Japanese hotel, and it was a fantastic experience. The location is great, with easy access to key attractions and transport, though finding food in Nagasaki can be a bit tricky, especially early in the morning. That’s why I highly recommend booking their breakfast—it's absolutely the best. The spread includes everything from traditional Japanese dishes to international options, and the quality is outstanding. It's definitely worth paying extra for, and you won’t regret it. The hotel’s service was also top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure I felt comfortable throughout my stay. The Chinese-inspired decor added a unique touch that made the atmosphere even more special. Given the excellent service, beautiful facilities, and amazing breakfast, this hotel offers great value for the price. Highly recommend!
GGuest UserWe are so happy to stay in this hotel!
From the moment I stepped into my room, I was greeted by the soothing warmth of the private hot spring. The comfortable bed provided a perfect retreat after a day of exploration.
The highlight, however, was the delightful dinner experience. The summer menu featured a fusion of Japanese ingredients and Western cooking techniques. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, with fresh flavors that allowed us to taste the local ingredients.
Since we don’t speak Japanese. The staff patiently explained each dish, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, the service was exceptional, and the combination of comfort, cuisine, and attentive staff made our stay truly memorable. I highly recommend this hot spring hotel to anyone seeking a relaxing getaway.
