Lungomare Caracciolo
Very nice hotel located along the water. Balconies face the waterfront with a couple chairs and a table on each balcony. Large, well-appointed rooms. Huge breakfast buffet with waitstaff available to get specialty coffee drinks made to order. Large hotel that often has conferences, so reception area can be very busy. Reception staff not very friendly, but breakfast staff were very helpful. Easy walk to restaurants.

The location is great, right next to Napoli Centrale, the ferries and most points of interest are an easy walk away, the service is perfect, an older type of hotel, which is the best option in Italy in my opinion. Would stay again without a doubt.

My experience at Villa Maria was pretty good. Restaurant experience is Rossario great Witress and Messi great waiter and the others do not know names but all are very attentative and never stop working. It is a great Buffet Breakfast your spoiled for choice from a fry up to different breads cakes fruits ect and coffe tea and coffee is good even my diabetic wife had plenty of choice. The evening meal starts Buffet Salad which they like you to really help yourself to plenty to show you appreciate and really enjoy Green Beans cooked superb and the Aubergine fried with Olive Oil superb as is the sliced Carrots ect and they have real Olive Oil like when I was in Crete was only 2nd time I ever tasted it that good. The 2nd and 3rd course is Menu and also Dessert but I chose Ice Cream every night as it was delicious and had not had real Italian Ice Cream since my childhood at the Italian Cafe near us. The Reception Staff very helpful always willing to give best advice and their English very good. The cleaning woman a lovely woman who changed our Bedding Towels daily but she spoke no English but rooms clean. This Hotel in a great location lovely Beach 10 min down the hill opposite and spoiled for Shops Supermarkets Restaurants Pubs ect great location. My only negative was no Sea view but I am not sure if you was on the top floor at the front if you could see it but we was at the back with a nice little Veranda and you have Shutter Doors with Curtains so can air the room and keep out Mosquitos. Overall I had a very good holiday here and would highly recommend it.

Central Station
I had a short overnight stay so the location is ideal about 400m walking from the main train station. Although a good location it is not a good area at night, a lot of homeless people but there are also some nice restaurants on Garabaldi Square and good coffee shops nearby for pastries and coffee for breakfast. The Hotel reception is on the 2nd floor of the building, big staircase and as others say no lift. Not good for older people or if you have big luggage to carry. The Checkin was fine, the man explained the basics and took me to my room. The cleanliness was perfect, so clean, plenty of fresh white towels, and bathroom was spotless, no problem there. He also gave me the remote control for the air conditioning and that also worked really great so you could sleep well. Bed was fine, seemed clean also, as someone said Quirky decoration. And surprisingly quiet. So if you aren’t after a fancy hotel room it’s fine. Only Basic liquid soap amenity supplied. The Front door is locked at 8 pm, and the hotel rooms access, they give you a keys to access, so it seems quite safe, closing early in that area is probably a good thing . Easy to walk to the Old Town and all the sights.
B&B Chez Moi

The good: Great location, right next to Garibaldi train station. Plenty of places to eat nearby. The lift is great. It does have a slot to put 10 cents in, but if you don't have a ten cent coin, the lift still works. The bad: We had booked and paid for 14 nights to stay at Chez Moi. We arrived on the first day at 6:00 p.m. We phoned the owner, and he sent a woman around. We followed her into the reception area. She then told us we couldn't stay there. After having read other reviews, I thought ”OK we're going to be sent around the corner to the Hotel Poker”, which is what Chez Moi does sometimes. But no, we weren't that fortunate. She repeated that we couldn't stay there. I showed her the proof that we had booked and paid (using both my phone and paper printouts) but she said we couldn't stay. She then escorted us out of the premises and locked the door. I understand that mix-ups happen sometimes, but there's no need to humiliate your guests like that. I phoned our travel company (who had made the booking) and they said they would contact the owner of Chez Moi to sort it out. After a couple of hours, I rang them again, and then a few more times. A couple of times, someone from Chez Moi would turn up and tell us we couldn't stay. I said ”Can you at least give me my money back so we can find somewhere else?” But they would just walk away. We spent most of the night sitting on the steps outside of the B&B with our suitcases. We made the other guests who walked past us feel very uncomfortable. I think they thought we were beggars, and seeing us made them feel anxious. But we were paying guests just like them. Finally at 3:30 a.m., 9½ hours after arriving, I received an email (thankfully I still had a few percent of battery left on my phone) from my travel company saying Chez Moi had overbooked and had no rooms left, and we should find somewhere else to stay. It was too late to find anywhere at that time, but I'm happy to say we did get somewhere else for the other 13 nights. We know the treatment we received at Chez Moi does not represent the rest of the Neapolitan people. We would go back to Naples. But we don't want to go to a B&B that treats its paying guests with contempt. Note to Chez Moi: It seems like you have a nice place, and it's in a great location, but please learn from this experience, and start treating your guests as humans – thank you.

Very close to central station. Good base for exploring other parts of Naples. Surroundings around hotel very dirty. Only stay if you plan on day trips elsewhere. We visited Pompaei and Capri, two easy day trips from hotel.

Orto Botanico
Location is good, room is mostly clean. Blue skirt on the bed has dirty spots #Nasty. There was only half roll of toilet paper and we didn’t find a chance how to refill toilet paper. We haven’t seen any staff there during the two days. Wi-Fi password at front desk was outdated and as we didn’t saw any worker there so we hadn’t a chance to ask for a correct Wi-Fi password. On the room floor there were some ants running around #littlebitNasty. Breakfast was in a nice caffe near the b&b. Front desk had outdated tourist information from the 2018. Year is 2022 and it would be great to update tourist info. A/C worked very well. During the hot days working A/C is a very big win for this place :). We had a bunch of different towels - Comfortable and nice. Thank you. In overall our two-days stay in this b&b was pretty good. Would recommend to stay there. Also I hope that this place will hear me out and fix previously mentioned observations.
