Hotels With Breakfast in Canton of Schaffhausen, Switzerland

This is a very modern and stylish hotel, extremely convenient for the main railway station (Hauptbahnhof) and the historic city centre. Despite its proximity to the centre, it’s actually in quite a quiet location. The bedrooms are well insulated for sound, so we heard very little noise from the station or outside generally. The hotel overall, including the rooms, are decorated and furnished in a contemporary, “corporate” style, which some may find lacks charm. But the lobby, bar and restaurant are smartly decorated with good quality materials and artistic touches. The room was functional but very clean, efficient and comfortable. We stayed for a few nights and felt the hotel was welcoming and safe. I would give the restaurant 4 out of 5. It provided a very good, typically Swiss buffet breakfast and a pleasant pasta meal on our first evening. It was very quiet and we enjoyed friendly, personal service. However, on another evening, the Caesar salad was underwhelming. Our server was kept very busy as the restaurant was very full and there was, let’s say, a misunderstanding, about our wine order, which resulted in us paying quite a bit more than we expected. The city centre is very historic, interesting and attractive to wander around. There’s plenty of choice of restaurants and cafes. From the main station you can reach the Rheinfalls via two alternative local stations - Schloss Laufen and Neuhausen Rheinfall. You can also take a train along the Rhine valley to places like Stein am Rhein and lake Konstanz, or get to Zurich quite easily.

The hotel is a basic hotel but the room was clean and quiet. The hotelier did the check-in, check-out and served the breakfast. The breakfast was a la carte - no buffet. You can walk to the Rheinfall Schaffhausen which was the reason for the stay overnight. Bicycle could be placed inside the hotel.

We were only one night in the hotel. It is a few kilometres outside the center and despite business area quietly located. The rooms are large and brightly furnished. The equipment is ok. The breakfast buffet is good - you find everything around the day well to start. We had dinner at the hotel on the arrival day evening. The pre-food was very good. The main foods (burgers) were terrible. Unfortunately there is not a pizza every day.

The hotel is located about a 10 minuet walk from the train station through the pretty town.The area is quiet ,There is a car park to the front and the church next door that seems to have quiet bells.Rooms at the font have a nice view of the Munot ( Fort ) and across the old town. There was no shortage of staff all very friendly and professional. Breakfast was fairly good with cold meats & cheeses etc. The bread was very nice and they had a good variety. The room I had 302 was at the front and fairly spacious with good light. There was no noise from outside and it was warm & comfortable.The only downside I could find was the noise from the bathroom in the room next door. I think the bathrooms were an addition in an old hotel and they didn't put enough soundproofing in so you can hear what is going on in the bathroom. The restaurant is very good and the food tasty.Service was also good and in the bar too. I would defiantly recommend a stay at this hotel in a lovely town

We arrived after a long drive and the owner gave us a warm welcome and invited us to sit down with a welcome beverage… that was very much appreciated! We also had dinner at the restaurant that evening and it was excellent! I was traveling with my sister and we both ordered the special of the day - trout with roasted vegetable potatoes. It was absolutely delicious! And the after dinner mojito was incredible. Thank you for the great service and stay.

Un super séjour en famille de trois jours dans ce charmant hôtel idéalement situé à Schaffhouse. Sympathiquement tenus, cet endroit est propre, l’intérieur et les chambres sont renouvelées et le jardin terrasse frai et agréable. Niché dans un quartier résidentiel en périphérie des nuisances, il reste pas moins très près du centre, à pieds. La promenade pour les chutes du Rhin est splendide et en moins d’une heure, ce lieu mythique est accessible en cheminant tranquillement. Tout le personnel est avenant et souriant. Une bonne adresse …. Nicolas & famille .

A Retro Gem with Modern Comfort: A Stellar Stay at Sorell Hotel Rueden I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel, and I must say, it was a very nice experience. This charming establishment, which has recently undergone an impressive renovation, seamlessly blends retro aesthetics with modern comforts. The result is a delightful ambiance that transports you back in time while providing all the amenities you could need. The warm and friendly reception staff insuring a smooth and hassle-free check-in process and some advice for town orientation. The room was comfortable, well equipped, and with a view of the city from the window. The breakfast was very nice. the location is in the heart of the old town.

Hotel very well located near the Rheinfall. Very pleasant staff, clean and very comfortable bedding. Specifying that it was a professional traveler, I would have appreciated having a small desk in the room, reason for the 4 * for the room. Breakfast very correct, staff at the small care to prepare us coffee or other. And a special thank you for sending me the express car key and pro badge that had been misplaced.
