"The space was ample and clean, the staff were very welcoming, the bar snacks and drinks were reasonably priced, the breakfast was good, and the rooftop offered a great view of the castle."
GGuest UserExcellent boutique hotel, good facilities, in particular indoor pool open until 22:00. Tv in the room was not working so upon request we were moved to another room, albeit an upgraded to a suite. Excellent breakfast too!
NNatalia CleoLovely hostel in the Baleal/Ferrel area. Just keep in mind that it’s not located in Peniche town itself. That said, Baleal is a charming and laid-back little town, and the beach is only a few minutes away.
The shared dorm was spacious enough to comfortably store my belongings, and each bed had its own locker. The bathroom was clean and well maintained. The bed was very comfortable, and the linen was spotless. The kitchen was also very well equipped.
The hostel has great facilities, including a swimming pool, a balcony, and several common areas where it’s easy to meet and connect with other travelers. The only downside was that my room was located directly under the bar, so it could get quite noisy some evenings, even around 11 p.m.
The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. I originally booked a two-night stay but enjoyed it so much that I extended it by three more nights.
I would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a great experience!
PPassporttoPalateThis hotel has become well known for being a book lovers haven. The hotel itself is super interesting and each room is different. My friend and I each stayed in different parts of the hotel and had very different looking and feeing rooms. Which means each time you stay there; there could be a new discovery. The hallways and corridors are lined with books. Even if you don't stay here I would highly recommend eating at the restaurant. The food was amazing every time.
The only thing I would recommend if this hotel needs more cozy reading areas. They have a couple but they are not the most comfortable places to sit; although they are definitely aesthetically pleasing and fit the vibe of the hotel's history. We spent a lot of time out in the courtyard reading; there's a great spot under a large tree with canvas chairs.
GGuest UserGreat value for money! Private parking is available for €5 per night. The rooms are also very spacious. The location is a 7-minute walk from the old town center, and another 7-minute walk in the other direction leads to the area near the Rhelia Academy.
Ssiliandra RosaDespite the building being old, the room was very comfortable and spacious enough for us. Excellent reception and service. We received a welcome shot of Ginja (a typical drink from the Óbidos region), a bottle of mineral water, and nuts in the room. The hotel is located within the town of Óbidos and does not have parking, but you can park outside the walls. The breakfast was very good and varied. The restaurant attached to the hotel is very pleasant and offers craft beers.
HHuajiangI really like the Batala Villa Hotel. At this time, there are many choices for the surrounding small towns when booking the hotel. Many parties consider choosing the Batala Villa Hotel due to location and star standards. I am very fortunate to make this choice. The hotel is extremely clean, the lobby is classically beautiful, the room bedding is exquisite, and the breakfast is rich. There are several very good Portuguese and Mediterranean restaurants around the hotel, walking distance from Batala Abbey. The hotel's parking lot is large, and self-driving cars can be parked in the hotel's parking lot when visiting the monastery.
AAlekseiA Luxurious Stay
This hotel exceeded all expectations! From the moment I arrived, the staff’s professionalism and warm hospitality made me feel truly special.
The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and impeccably clean, with breathtaking views from the window. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged for maximum comfort.
The restaurant was a highlight—delicious, fresh, and varied meals that turned every breakfast and dinner into a delightful experience.
Highly recommend this hotel for an unforgettable stay!
GGuest UserI couldn't have had a better experience, the service was top tier even before checking in, the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome.
The room was spotless, the spa was great.
The breakfast was definitely amazing, from the delicious fruit to the staff readiness to prepare food in case you had any special requests os allergies.
If you're considering this hotel for your stay in Batalha, I really believe this is the best option. I know I'll be staying there when I go back to Batalha or anywhere around.
GGuest UserVery friendly and helpful staff, helped us where to find parking in a very crowded city. The hotel is very clean and rooms as well. Location is about the best you can get, about 50 meters away from the beach roaf. the only cons is that you probably need to park the car somewhere else. We had a nice seaview from our balcony. Breakfast was ok.
