A very special place to stay; combination luxury hotel, art gallery, historical fort. It was a special treat to drive in through the front gate of a fortress to arrive at the door to this hotel. (Although it was confusing that the signage indicated ”Pousada” rather than ”Pestana” which made us wonder if we were at the right place. Staff was excellent; room was beautiful; breakfast was delicious; amenities were perfect. All in all, I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cascais, especially if they are visiting for the first time. It's a short walk to the centre of town and the wide variety of restaurants, shops and beaches. How often does one get to stay in such a unique setting!!

The hotel's environment and services are very good, very quiet and beautiful. I just felt that the location was a little bit out of the way, so I changed to a hotel. But after changing hotels, I felt that Sheraton's service and rooms were better in comparison. I will book this hotel next time I come here. It’s cost-effective and the service is good.

We had the best time at Onyria closing out 2024 and bringing in the New Year! Everything about our stay at the Hotel was fantastic: the entire resort with its beautiful, well-kept landscape (I'm a plant mom); the very friendly and always helpful staff (Luiza is a gem); the daily breakfast was delicious (my kids would stay in the line for a long time just to make their pancakes); and no complaints about our villa. Finally, Onyria's New Year's Eve Dinner Celebration at its Lakehouse was a hit for us. We highly recommend the resort, and already are planing to visit again in 2025!

I Stayed here with 4 friends for 3 nights last week and we had the best time ever .. the rooms were amazing and worked with 2 sharing one suite and 3 of us another. We had so much space and 2 bathrooms for the 3 sharing. The hotel arranged transport from the airport to the hotel and then for our return journey. We were overwhelmed with how attentive ALL the staff were. From the breakfast team (breakfast was delicious ) to the pool staff who served cocktails, delicious rosè and lunch and moved sunbeds as needed and umbrellas to the reception team who couldn’t do enough plus recommending restaurants which were all fantastic. Then there’s the spa which was such a fun experience and my friend had a massage which she said was the best massage ever (she’s a massage expert) I couldn’t recommend this hotel more and cascais is a very special place

After spending a week walking the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage, my husband and I sought out a beautiful boutique hotel for some R & R in Portugal. Estoril Vintage Hotel was the perfect choice. The mansion is spectacular with no detail overlooked. The decor was amazing and museum quality. The hotel is spotlessly clean. Our room was perfectly appointed with a very comfortable bed, in-room coffee, nighttime turndown service, and even chocolates waiting on the pillows each evening. The staff was attentive and met every need without question - starting with Jorge when we checked in, the concierge team, and all the way through the wait staff and maid service. The views are spectacular. We had to pinch ourselves each day to make sure this was real. How nice it was for Maria, the owner, to stop by and greet each of the guests individually while we had breakfast on the terrace each day - a lovely, personal touch. I cannot recommend this hotel enough for those looking for a unique and pampering experience in the Estoril/Cascais area. We walked to Cascais almost every day of our 6-day stay; only a short 10-15 minute walk. The beach is right there and many shops, restaurants, and places nearby to grab a souvenir, a sangria or Vinho Verde. This was a good location to catch a train into Lisbon (5 minute walk to the Monte Estoril train station) and we also spent a day in Sintra. The hotel is far enough away from the noisy downtown for tranquility, but close enough to the action when you want it. This place was amazing.

My wife and I stayed here recently on a golf tuition break, and loved it. It’s a beautiful hotel, and feels very luxurious and new. Our room was very nice — spacious, with a huge bed and sparkling bathroom (great shower!). We were lucky enough to have a view of the golf course, principally the second hole, and I spent a lot of time watching people tee off from the balcony. We weren’t on an all-inclusive rate, but still enjoyed plenty of food choices. The lower ground floor is essentially divided into three separate spaces — there’s the Rocca restaurant, for fine dining in the evening; Five Palms for the fairly substantial buffet breakfast; and our favourite, Trent Jones, which does excellent burgers, pasta and snacks. This is where we spent a lot of our time, particularly after realising that they were showing the English Premier League games! The staff were excellent — very courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. At one point they even let us have the remote control to choose our own games! We also spent quite a bit of time basking in the sun by the lovely outdoor pool. There’s also an indoor pool, which is heated (the outdoor pool is not, although you soon get used to it after a brisk dunk). But our main goal was to try to improve our golf game, and it’s here where Quinta da Marinha truly excels: Artur, the golf pro who gave us lessons, was wonderful and has really given us a solid basis, essentially teaching us the art of the golf swing from scratch. We really enjoyed the driving range, and I even got to play a couple of rounds on the wonderful 18-hole course. The 13th hole, with an incredible view of the Atlantic, is a must see! We loved it, and can’t wait to return to either this or the Boutique Hotel, where we also stayed for a few days. I’ll write a separate review for that — we had a golf course view there too! Highly recommended!

Beautifully located, ultra-modern facilities, friendly staff, the only downside is the busy and noisy road between the hotel and the sea...
Located in Carcavelos, next to the largest beach on the Costa do Sol, the Riviera Hotel iinvites you to a tay of excellence and friendliness. Placed in a quiet residential area, a stone's throw from the largest beach on the Estoril line, with its terraces overlooking the sand and the surfers who give the waves no rest, the Riviera Hotel Carcavelos is served by a constant transport network, between trains, buses and highways. From here you can easily access, explore and discover fantastic places in Lisbon, Cascais and Sintra.

It is an old four-star hotel in a relatively quiet location. It is surrounded by residential buildings. It is 5 or 6 minutes' walk from the beach. The train station is 10 minutes away. Next door is a shopping mall for shopping, laundry, and supermarkets. It is more convenient. The hotel facilities are older and the rooms are on the thinner side. The bathtub design is not reasonable for showering. Water will spill out and wet the ground. Be very careful when entering and exiting. The air conditioner is either too cold or leaking. Parking, fitness and indoor swimming pools all require a separate fee. I have stayed in hotels in so many countries. Fortunately, this is the first time I encountered them. Fortunately, the hotel staff are very friendly and responsive. The thoughtful gift of a cake on my birthday is very nice😊 The breakfast is rich and delicious, and the bread is delicious. If you want to take a rest and vacation, it is a good choice👍

First hotel to stay in Portugal. Good location and good service. And with access control, very safe and comfortable.
Estorils most famous and legendary hotel Palacio Estoril Hotel Golf and Spa is a striking 1930s
mansion with a fascinating history.
Set in beautifully landscaped gardens and with stunning sea views this glamorous hotel provides excellent service fine dining a large outdoor pool and a superb 18-hole
golf course.
Ian Fleming stayed here during World War II when international espionage was widespread in Estoril and spies often frequented the bar.
Today the ambience is one of a relaxing yet sophisticated retreat where traditional hospitality is taken very seriously. Palacio Estoril Hotel- Golf and Wellness is a Small Luxury Hotels of the World property.

Outstanding
Carlos, was a wonderful host! Very welcoming and accommodating. … always wanting to make sure you were comfortable! A unique experience in a beautiful home. Shared areas were spacious, well appointed and amazingly beautiful. Rooms were well equipped with everything you need. Much like a bed and breakfast which I was not expecting… not to mention, the breakfast in the morning was fabulous. Carlos put a lot of effort into serving fresh fruit, croissants, pastries, Portuguese cold cuts, cheeses, fresh orange juice and espresso‘s, lattes, whatever coffee you desire! Thank you Carlos for making our stay in Cascais so memorable!
GGuest UserEverything about this hotel was exceptional. The room was wonderful, Deluxe room with Sea view. Clean and lots of extra treats, cakes and chocolates daily and mini bar stocked with non alcoholic drinks. The staff here are exceptional, friendly providing a first class service. The Evening meal in the restaurant was gourmet food at its best and the staff were very knowledgeable about the wines. The buffet breakfast was fantastic, plenty of choice.
The hotel itself was beautiful, the location great, the parking was easy.
The spa facilities were truly wonderful.
I would definitely recommend this hotel. They have the right balance of providing luxury whilst being family friendly.
GGuest UserThe thing about ”boutique” hotels is they often have limited rooms with little consistancy between them. Often the hotel is a former mansion or castle that has been converted to create the accomodations. The rooms featured on the website often look amazing but many of the rooms are often former butler's pantries or attic rooms the crazy aunt lived in with alll her cats so you have to be careful when booking. This place has some of that. Had we ended up in a former little closet room in the corner, we would not have been happy here. Fortunately we had booked the designer room with a balcony facing the ocean (210) which was fantastic to enjoy the ocean views. We moved the long bench from in front of the bed onto the balcony during the day to use as a sun lounger. Room was smaller but had tall ceilings and nicely remodeled. Comfy bed and nice bathroom with shower with all kinds of water options plus toilets had heated bidet hose. It is important to know that the pool area is seasonal due to the close proximity to the ocean and doesnt open until mid-April. During much of year it is closed as the North Atlantic waves thrash over the pool area filling it with dirty sea water. The hotel should state this on their homepage to avoid guests feeling a bit misled. I attached some pictures showing the pool area we had without any lounges and water looking like a sewer discharge. The weather we had was sunny and hot yet couldn't use the pool so felt frustrated. I'm a daily lap swimmer so had been hoping to use the pool in the mornings for my swims. The view of the ocean with the crashing waves against the rocks made the stay very relaxing. Also it is a nice short walk to town with wonderful views along the way. Additionally it is a beautiful walk or run to the west along the rock cliffs by the ocean. Truly magical location. The hotel itself was lovely and ecclectic with fun art throughout. Hotel staff was very nice and the included a quality breakfast buffet was tasty and plentiful. We had to leave in the middle of the night for a very early flight out. The manager had take away lunches for us which was a nice touch. We booked the hotel in part because it was part of the AMEX Platinum Hotel collection which comes with some additional benefits if you have the card. We had been to Lisbon many times but so glad we discovered Cascais this time. Certainly will be back.
Warm welcome and tour of the property and its facilities on arrival. Staff all friendly and efficient. Bedroom with balcony and shower room clean and modern. Serviced daily. Hot water, shower, air con good. Beautiful mature garden with several water features and two swimming pools in terraces (on a hillside) so lots of steps. Abundant breakfast with some variation each day. English style and Continental. Self service coffee / hot choc/hot water/milk machine worked well. Lactose free options available on request. Space a little confined in the buffet area but plenty of seating inside and out. Beautiful clean house with period styling and features. Parking on the road outside the villa was metered. Approx €1 per hour. Free on Sunday and during the night. Some noise from building projects in the vicinity. A good variety of cafes and restaurants within 10 to 15 mins walk.
IILYAThe hotel is overall ok, but my experience is really controversial.
Pros:
Good value for money. The location is quite central. Clean rooms. Live music at the rest zone near the reception from time to time.
Cons:
Cleaning process is ruining the perception. No logic, no exact timing, they can even enter the room with a sign ”no disturb” on the door.
Sound proof is poor, so all external noises can be easily heard.
The reception people could be more friendly (smiling and saying ”hello” to customers when an eye contact is happening).
I haven't yet tried the breakfast.
Quiet, residential location in Monte Estoril. 30 mins walk to Cascais - downhill. Taxi back was €5-7. 15 mins to Monte Estoril station - downhill 40 minute train into Lisbon. We used Bolt to get to Sintra, Belem, Benfica stadium and Cascais shopping centre - all under €20 for 3 of us. Supermarket - 10 minute walk away. Let us check in earlier than expected. Secure left luggage room. Great reception staff - really helpful - fluent in English Room was a great size - Tv, microwave, oven and 2 ring hob. Bath with shower. Lovely shaded Balcony overlooking pool Clean, fresh towels every day. Cleaning staff were so nice, efficient and friendly. Breakfast was the same every day, but a good, fresh selection. My son loved the apple pastries! Could take a coffee to go. Pool towels provided by reception at no extra cost. Pool area was clean, could do with a few more sun loungers, although it wasn’t difficult to get one, but they could fit some more in. pool bar with drinks, cocktails and coffees. Staff here were also great! Overall, we had a great stay here, and would love to return!
GGuest UserLovely spacious room with balcony overlooking the marina! The bathroom was a little outdated with no walk-in shower but only a minor point. This is a very large hotel which is part of the renovated 16th century Citadel and can only be accessed by car through the gates and across the square. Unloading of the car can be done outside and the car then parked in an underground secure car park close by. The hotel cannot be accessed from the car park. However, the help given with luggage by the porter was very much appreciated and delivered to the room. This was reversed when we left with the porter again taking all our luggage from the room to the car parked in front. Reception staff were professional. Servicing the room was quite late but when asked the housekeeping staff did there best to clean the room when we returned in the afternoon - they have a lot of rooms to service! Breakfast was lovely on the roof with great views - we were lucky with weather and we were able to sit outside with our dog every morning! Choices were good, and hot food can be ordered; the staff were cheerful and helpful! We used both pools during our stay and the indoor was small but lovely and the outdoor roof top pool was also OK with loungers. The walk to the outdoor pool was lengthy....the walk anywhere inside the hotel can be long depending on where you are located and you can easily lose your way.......however, we found a quick way to the outside opposite the lovely marina with some very good shops and restaurants! The hotel was also a reasonable 15 minutes walk into the lovely town of Cascais with lots of places to eat and drink and shopping!
Excellent boutique hotel - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. It is convenient and a short walk to the beach - but up the hill in a quiet neighbourhood. Our room was clean and well kept with all the expected amenities. The staff were friendly, professional and always helpful. If we go to the Estoril/Caiscais area again - it would be our first choice.
韩韩The location of the hotel is quite good! There are many restaurants downstairs. A short walk from the beach. The most important thing is the unbeatable sea view of the restaurant! recommend! ! ! The old waiter at the restaurant diagonally opposite is a bit annoying... Oh and, there is a parking lot, which is free.
