Strategically located inside Lijiang ancient town. Home stay villa well maintained and the environment full with authentic ancient home style. Within walking distance nearby include restaurant, fruits stall, convenience store and chinese well know Chagee. Breakfast great and the noodles soup tasty. Most important the owner villa will assigned someone contact you a head before your trip and during your stay. Little Seven@Xiaoqi, she is friendly and helpful. She help arrange pick up and drop off from train station to Villa homestay and vice versa. Also, she will provide recommendations and help arrange transport and ticket ahead. Love this Villa stay and will definitely return in future. Highly recommend to consider stay with this Villa. As good as 5 star hotel in terms of services.Check out some of the photo here

The last stop of this Yunnan tour was in Mile. I chose to stay at the MGallery, which is very convenient for activities in Dongfengyun. I arrived at around 3 o'clock that day after climbing Jinping Mountain and seeing the Maitreya Buddha. Xiao Hong and Xiao Ma at the front desk were very welcoming. If conditions permit, they helped to upgrade to a location with a better view. They introduced that the atriums of the 6 accommodation areas have good views for taking photos, and there are also precautions for guests entering and leaving the Dongfengyun scenic area. I like the garden style of the hotel. It is also easy to take photos by walking around the hotel. It is a bit regrettable that I only stayed for one night due to the schedule. I look forward to coming to Mile and MGallery again next time.

Really nice hotel. Definitely live up to Shangrila reputation. The ambiance is very upscale, and the staff are super nice (except for one guy waitstaff in Anie's restaurant, whose answer to anything we asked was ”don't have”, while the items will materialized in seconds when we ask the very nice manager. Btw, the item in question was a fork. What restaurant does not have a fork??. I digress here. The room is large, and amenities are first class. Swimming pool, oxygen room, and the gym are in great condition. Definitely will stay here again if we ever in this area in the future.

Xishuangbanna Jinghong Jimu River View Hotel is amazing! Located along the riverside, it offers the perfect viewpoint for sunsets and evening views. You can see the bridge across the Mekong River and the buildings on the opposite shore, beautifully lit with colorful lights—a truly breathtaking sight. The hotel is also close to street food vendors and food/fruit shops just below the building. The night market is only a 10-15 minute walk away, making this location ideal. The facilities and services, including A/C, a tea kettle, hair dryer, swimming pool, airport pickup, breakfast, slippers (changed daily!), towels, washing machine (this surprised me!), toothbrush, toothpaste, tissue paper, and more, are excellent—better than other hotels I’ve stayed at. It’s essentially a smart hotel! There’s a Xiaodu AI (like Google Alexa or Siri) to help you manage room functions such as opening/closing curtains, turning lights on/off, and controlling music—it's so innovative! However, it currently only supports Mandarin. The bathroom features an automated toilet with self-flushing, a heated seat, and an automatic bidet. One thing to note is that there is no door or partition between the toilet/bathroom and the bedroom, so it’s an open design. If you’re sharing the room with friends or others you don’t know well, be mindful of this for privacy. The staff here are friendly and helpful, although their English is limited. They do their best to use translation tools, which is appreciated and works fine. Breakfast is served from 8:00 to 10:00, so if you want to enjoy it, an early wake-up is necessary, haha! The food is simple and leans more towards Chinese style rather than Western, with options like noodles, cakes, stir-fried vegetables, soy milk, fresh milk, and watermelon. Overall, I rate this hotel 10/10! The few minor points I mentioned are easy to overlook, and the price is affordable and reasonable. You won’t find another hotel like this anywhere else! Don’t hesitate to make this hotel a memorable part of your trip—you won’t regret it! (I made two bookings for this hotel—so don’t be surprised if you see this review twice!)

This is a cozy and well-located homestay near two ancient towns — Lijiang Ancient City and Shuhe Ancient City. They offer convenient one-way transport to both, as well as pick-up service from the airport and train station, which is a great bonus. The rooms are spacious, clean, and offer beautiful lake views. The homestay is also equipped with a lift, making it especially convenient for guests with mobility needs. Overall, a highly recommended place to stay!

We had a lovely stay at Jinmao Purelax Lijiang, The Unbound Collection by Hyatt. We were there during early June. The view from the room was amazing. It was wonderful to wake up to the Yu Long Snow Mountain every morning with a cool breeze. Breakfast was a good spread of traditional Chinese fare and international staples. We look forward to having good breakfasts every morning. The staff even packed for us breakfast when we departed earlier than the breakfast time for our day tour of Yu Long Snow Mountain. While overall, it was a good experience, there were some quirks, that we felt were slightly below our expectations befitting a Hyatt branded hotel. There wasn’t a proper mini fridge. We had to request for one. And it was not functioning properly - we eventually had to ask the staff to keep our medical items with their staff who delivered to our doorstep upon request, promptly. The air-conditioning was also controlled centrally and we could not adjust the temperature despite having a controller in our room. We were advised by the staff to keep the netted balcony doors open to let the fresh air in. But it was not possible when we sleep due to the bright light and the room was warm. The other freebies made up for the overall experience at Jinmao. We had a wonderful complimentary photoshoot at Bo Jue Travel Photography studio which was conveniently located within the hotel’s premises. The staff there were friendly, professional and made the photo shoot fun and enjoyable. We upgraded the package as the photographers and DI artists made fantastic work in double quick time. We also had a complimentary Pu’ Er Tea tasting session where we were greeted by a warm and attentive lady, Ah Qing. She was a great conversationalist and we enjoyed her company. We also checked out other features like the petting zoo, indoor swimming pool and the sauna. There are also many family friendly activities to participate in - there are plenty of opportunities to play within the premises! Jinmao Purelax Lijiang may not be the shiniest and newest hotel but this grand dame is a wonderful place for folks of all ages to play, relax and soak in the sights of what Lijiang has to offer.

Excellent stay at the Intercontinental in Kunming. The location is near the lake and a bit further out from the city centre but taxis are convenient. Very good value with spacious and clean rooms. It's a very big hotel with great facilities, including an indoor pool, 24h gym, large garden, bar and restaurants. Service was fantastic throughout our stay, and the front desk (Xiao Fu) helped with various queries promptly and also upgraded our room at check-in. Highly recommended.

My husband and I had such a relaxing stay at this hotel. It’s outside the city, which was perfect for us—quiet, serene, and away from the hustle. But heads up: if you’re planning to shop often in Dukezong, this might be a bit far for you. For us though, the peace and quiet were exactly what we needed! Wish we had more time in Shangrila. One of the highlights: Bonfire nights with marshmallows! We missed the fireworks, but sitting around the fire, singing with other guests was so much fun. Such a unique and heartwarming experience! Shoutout to the driver and butler — they were super responsive, from pickups to making sure everything ran smoothly. Breakfast was delicious, great way to start the day. The hotel animals were adorable! I’ve never been this close to a deer before—such a cool little surprise. Will definitely come back here again.

New and well designed hotel. Breakfast was normal with a few interesting local dishes. Not worth if you are paying the full price for it. The hotel has a link way to a mall which has food options and supermarket. 德和 canned food outlet is in the mall so you can shop there easily. There is also a 上山喝茶 outlet behind the hotel. Overall a wonderful hotel at SGD222/night with Trip Stay Voucher

The service was great, they had a buggy service to take us from the main lobby to our rooms as it was quite a walk. The staff at the concierge- Nicholas was very helpful in assisting us with the purchase of the tickets for 云杉坪. However, the hotel itself was lacking several amenities compared to the other smaller boutique hotels we stayed, which was disappointing considering it is a more reputable chain hotel brand. The room was quite dusty and the humidifier was old and not effective at all.
