The Seneca building is centrally located in the Snowshoe village and just steps from the ski slopes. The building is directly across from the ski school, so great proximity for families. The village offers dining and shopping year round, meaning this location feels like city living as you can walk to everything you need once parking your car in the private underground parking area beneath the building (the only building in the village that offers this for free, included with your stay).Newly acquired in September 2024, and never been rented before.This is a one bedroom, one bath unit. I own most of the surrounding homes and am always working on enhancing the property. You’ll need your own vehicle, as public transportation isn’t available here. With our location just off Hwy 19, getting around is easy, and you’re welcome to join other guests by our shared fire pits for a little camaraderie. The studio is kept cool with new, cold A/C—perfect after a day outdoors! The Hunker Inn is a one bedroom, one bathroom apartment attached to The Hunkerdown, a family friendly coffee shop in a historic general store. It is the perfect location for cyclists with many scenic routes just outside the doors. It is also within a few miles of the quaint historic town of Union, Second Creek Fly fishing, the Greenbrier River, and Moncove Lake.This historic building was originally a general store built in the very early 1900's. After the general store, and before it sat vacant for many years, it was home to Bob & Bob International caving supplies. The building is currently home to The Hunkerdown coffee shop, Sinks Grove Chiropractic, and this one bedroom apartment converted to airbnb.The apartment is fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The king size bed has an organic Avocado mattress to give you a restful night sleep. There are also two twin fold out beds that are available, and reported to be quite comfortable. These can be combined for a king size bed, or used separately as twin beds. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, baking supplies, coffee, and even a popcorn popper. The furniture and decor throughout the space holds a retro vibe that makes the apartment unique and comfortable. The living room has a 52" smart television that is ready for your viewing pleasure. There is even a fire pit in the back yard ready for your evening enjoyment. This property has been a labor of love and encompasses many avenues of our creative entrepreneurship. Sleep late in the king size bed or if you are an early riser, grab your favorite morning beverage and stroll the property enjoying the beautiful sunrises. Wash the day away in the full-size bath and enjoy winding down in the privacy of your suite or communing by the fire pit. Lake Sometimes is a small farmette. Lucas lives on the property and has free range chickens and other animals at times. You might be treated to fresh eggs for breakfast if available! Take some time out of the hustle and bustle of everyday life and stay with us while you are enjoying what really is Almost Heaven, WV. You and your guests are welcome to walk around, our approximate 6 acres, and explore the property. Almost always available.
