Seoul Apartments

The hotel was very accessible and located near myeongdong station. You get to enjoy different type of foods right outside the hotel as it is at the center of the shopping street.

The first choice to take children to Seoul, cost-effective. Very close to Seoul Station. A little old, but well maintained. There are a large number of Middle Easterners who seem to live here but it doesn't matter. The front desk can help call a taxi, order takeout, etc. There is also a delicious samgyetang nearby.

The room is small and there is no toothbrush and toothpaste but you can get it from the vending machine in the lobby. They only provide bottle water on the first day but you can get water outside room 3 of every floor. The shower and toilet are beside each other so after shower everything will be wet. The water pressure is fine if no one turn on tap at the sink outside at the same time. If they do, the water will temperature will be a bit unstable and preasure will be weaker. AC is fine but the first day you use it, there could be dust fall out onto the bed. You can borrow a luggage trolley from the lobby, which is very convenient if you leave with lots of luggage and not enough hand to push all of them down to the lobby and to the bus stop outside. The bus stop and a lot of shopping mall are outside so it is very convenient. There are lots of good food behind HelloApm, which is close by. Found two places with the face of the famous Korean Chef who is always on variety show. The lobby staffs nicely helped me search for food too.

I stayed here for 10 days on this business trip. The location, service and environment are good. The only gym is on the 2nd floor and then take the elevator to the 6th floor. There is a swimming pool and fitness equipment. There is a modern department store next door and Coex downstairs, where you can eat, drink and play.

Positives: - Good location. Close to subways, buses, other areas like Ikseondong, Myendong etc etc - Lots of cafes and restaurants around. - Good size apartment style accomodation. We stayed in the three bedroom apartment. Very spacious and heaps of storage (too much actually). - Clean and neat. There’s housekeeping on weekdays. - Extremely cost effective and good value for money (about $320 Aussie dollars per night for a three bedroom apartment including breakfast). - Good front desk staff and efficient when asked about extra pillows, towels etc. - There is a small 7-11 across the road with an ATM. - There is a Coffee bean and tea leaf on site. Negatives: In the apartment: - not enough plates / cutlery etc, - Worlds hardest sofa and dining room chairs, - Worst washing machine I’ve ever come across. It’s a washer / dryer combo and the clothes are never dried! It takes over three hours and the clothes come out damp and still have to be hung to dry. Waste of water and electricity. - There was an issue with our safe which staff said they would fix but they never came back to do it. Breakfast: - The most basic bland breakfast. Very little variety. Was actually a disappointment. - After finishing we had to clear our own plates (as though we are in a food court 👎🏼). There were so many staff around.. they should be clearing the tables not us as the guests! - They didn’t have any take away containers for us to eat in our apartment or even take a coffee away. If you stay here I would avoid adding the breakfast option.

I stayed in a twin room. I had seen the reviews and photos, so it was just as I expected. It was spacious enough for two people, with the suitcases spread out. You had to take your shoes off before entering the room. There was a washing machine in the room, so you could do your laundry, which is very helpful during this time of year. However, there is no drying function, so you have to hang your clothes to dry indoors. I stayed for three nights, but there was no cleaning or bed making. They only took out the trash and changed the towels. Since there was no cleaning, I was worried about the dust on the floor, so I thought it would be nice if there was something like a Quickle Wiper so I could clean it myself. There is a glass door between the shower and the toilet, but water normally flows onto the toilet floor, making it soaking. There is a convenience store below the hotel, and it is relatively close to the station, so it is convenient.

Every time you use the Somerset Hotel, you feel comfortable with a leisurely space. Big bedroom and bathroom, kitchen.. and living room.. far out, but it provides comfort like our home. Breakfast is clean and full of attentiveness. Korean style .. It was very good because it was rich in salad.

Dated furniture, stains on floor. tiny television. view from the window was completely obstructed by the adjacent building. Everything comes with a fee. Toothbrush and other toiletries 1000krw. Extra blanket 10,000krw. Late checkout 22,000krw per hour. Breakfast buffet was 36,000krw with a 10% discount for hotel guests. food trays were vastly empty, rice was dry and crunchy. coffee subpar. stayed here twice before in the past, quality has greatly depreciated. only positive was the friendly housekeeping lady. Will likely never be back since there are much better hotels at this price point.

We have a very pleasant stay at this apartment. It is fully equipped with what we need including a kitchen, washing machine and dryer. It is very convenient with a 7 eleven located inside the building, a bus station at the back of the hotel and a nearby subway (8-10 mins walk). The front desk staffs at this hotel are very nice and they are very helpful. The Soo spa and sauna are great to visit and a nice indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi to help us to wind down after all the walking in the beautiful city of Seoul. I would like thank all the front desk staffs such as Amy, Renee, Hairi, Rachel and their male colleagues for helping us to arrange our transport to incheon; arrange wonderful breakfast box when we departed early for our local tour; keeping safe of our luggage while we took a local tour during our stay in december. We are very fortunate to have all of you who are able to communicate well in English to help tourist like us who do not speak Korean. Definitely looking forward to return to this apartment in the future.

I stayed here for the IELTS exam. The hotel is very close to the Gangnam Station (Seoul Seocho-gu Gangnam-daero 53-gil 7), and it takes only 3 minutes to walk there. The room is more like an apartment. Although it looks a bit old, the overall facilities are complete. Some of the front desk guys can speak Chinese and are very patient in answering questions. The only downside is that I can occasionally hear loud conversations in the next room, but overall it is good.
