Walking to the hotel via a steep and narrow street while competing for space with fast moving cars is not fun. Don’t understand why the employee entrance at the foot of the hill can not be used by hotel guests. For this reason this hotel sadly won’t be the best choice next time in Istanbul. Other than that a great hotel.

When going to Istanbul, I came across this hotel in Rilsa, got interested and decided to celebrate New Year 2025 there. Never regretted it. A stunning new product of the highest level. Aesthetics and comfort - that's about it. Rooms, restaurants, lobby, territory - everything is in style. I recommend not to pass by the Magnolia Bakery, located on the territory. They serve banana pudding there, it's delicious.
Review of Wanda Vista Hotel.
My stay at the Wanda Vista Hotel had its positives, but also quite a few frustrating issues. The hotel itself was nice, and the room was comfortable, but the location wasn’t ideal since it’s right on a highway, making it less convenient for exploring the area. Aside from that, it was okay, but there were several maintenance problems that definitely affected my experience. The biggest issue was that the room had several things broken, and despite bringing it to the staff’s attention, nothing was really fixed except for the door. The shower leaked all over the floor by the sink, which was both annoying and a safety hazard, but no one bothered to fix it. The skirting board was also broken, adding to the feeling that the room wasn’t being properly maintained. On top of that, we had an apartment with a kitchen, but the hotel refused to provide any kitchen accessories unless we were staying for more than 10 days, which seemed like a ridiculous rule. It didn’t make sense to have a kitchen that we couldn’t actually use. After complaining, I eventually got the accessories, but it was frustrating that I even had to go through that process in the first place.Overall, while the hotel had potential, the lack of proper maintenance and the odd policies made the stay less enjoyable than it could have been. If they paid more attention to fixing issues and improving customer service, it could be a much better experience.
The hotel staff were kind and courteous from the get-go. We were delighted to receive an upgrade and were impressed by the size of the room.
All facilities within the room were kept in excellent order. However, some attention to cleanliness was lapsing. We found dirty handprints on the TV and walls. This, however, was rectified with housekeeping.
Breakfast was included in our package but the range and quality of food was not very good. At one point, during our stay, there was nowhere to sit, and our plates were cleared away before we had finished our food.
The location is about 30 mins away from the main tourist sites, but the Mall of Istanbul is a 15-minute car journey away. This is a great mall for shopping, entertainment, and getting something to eat. There is also an outlet mall 10 mins walk away that has a supermarket, fast food restaurants and a few branded shops.
Overall, I was pretty pleased with the hotel and would stay again.

My stay at The Divan Istanbul left me with mixed feelings. While the hotel markets itself as a five-star establishment, my experience suggested it might be better aligned with four-star standards. The service, which is a critical aspect of any top-tier hotel experience, unfortunately fell short of expectations.
Upon arrival, I encountered a passive-aggressive attitude from the reception staff that was off-putting. Instead of the warm welcome one would expect, the receptionists seemed more interested in talking over guests than engaging with them. This tone created an uncomfortable atmosphere that lingered throughout my stay. Additionally, the staff's grasp of English varied significantly, leading to frequent misunderstandings when addressing simple requests. This lack of clear communication is not what one hopes for at a hotel that purports to offer five-star service.
These service issues overshadowed any of the hotel’s potential strengths. A true five-star experience is defined by top-notch service that complements the hotel's physical attributes, and in this case, it was lacking. While the hotel may offer nice amenities and a polished appearance, without exceptional service to match, it cannot truly claim to be a five-star venue.
In conclusion, while The Divan Istanbul has the framework of a high-end hotel, its service shortcomings prevent it from fully realizing that potential. For those looking for a reliable four-star experience in Istanbul, it may fit the bill, but if exemplary service is a priority for your stay, it may be wise to consider other options.

One room can accommodate three beds, one large and two small. The price-performance ratio is very high. You can directly see the city wall and the strait. It is a few steps to the old city. It takes a few minutes to walk to Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. The breakfast is good. The uncle at the front desk and the service are very polite. He must carry the luggage to the room

Nice big Room with a beautiful View. Very clean!!! The service staff made every effort to satisfy all guests. The breakfast was very good. Many options and everything was very tasty only the coffee unfortunately not but I would recommend this hotel anytime!!!
I really had a great time during my stay at hotel.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean. The view was amazing.
If I travel to Istanbul again, this would be the only hotel I would stay at.
Our room was at the 25th floor and it had a nice view of the Golden Horn and the area towards Osmanbay metro st. We could even see the Hagia Sofhia in the distance. Everything was nice in the room except for the bathroom where my wife found a long strand of black hair on the floor. Apart from that, everything was excellent. Swimming pool is large, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna are great. Breakfast was amazing with a large selection of food. Hotel staff always nice, smiling and helpful. Altogether, we had a positive experience on our 9th wedding anniversary.

I recently stayed at [Hotel Name], and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm welcome and attention to detail.
The location was little off but in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore nearby attractions. My room was spacious, with a breathtaking view of the city, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job keeping everything spotless. The on-site restaurant served delicious meals, and I particularly loved the breakfast buffet with a wide variety of fresh options.
Thank you

KKasterOne of the staff members was unfriendly and unhelpful. On our first day, we had to wait about 10 minutes at the check-in desk, even though three employees were present. The person who eventually assisted us didn’t even greet us—I said hello, and he simply asked for our passports. Later, this same staff member refused to call a taxi for us. Fortunately, another staff member was kind enough to help and called a taxi.
If you’re traveling with elderly people who can’t walk far and need a taxi directly in front of the hotel, I’d recommend avoiding this place. The streets are very narrow and often crowded, so taxis are reluctant to come. It’s especially frustrating when the hotel staff doesn’t assist with calling one.
RRamiz GaffarovThis is my second time staying at this hotel, it is convenient for me because it is closer to the metro. The rooms are clean, the breakfast is average.

Early check in allowed
3 minute walk to tram stop
3 tram stations away to sultanamet
5 minute walk to metro station
Smiling staff
Restaurants and shopping are 5 minute walk from hotel

lunch, take a nap then go to tourist spots again at 4pm ang return to the hotel by tram afte
r 9pm. Very minimal walking
There is a kebab shop accross the road from the hotel that serves the best chicken kebab in Istanbul. The kebab shop sells freshly squeezed pomegranate juice.

GGuest UserPrice for the accommodation was good.
Close to the metro station.
The meeting was friendly.
When we had found in our kitchen no forks we ordered but the waiting time to fix the problem was too long.
Additionally, there were no spoons, no wine opener, no hair dryer
The room climate was a little cold.
In the room you can hear noise coming from the street even though we were living on the 27 floor.
Internet connection was unstable.
A bed in the bedroom was 1,4m but on Trip.com was stated that it’s 1,8m
No TV set in the bedroom
Because of the bed size we wanted to move to another room on the day however all the rooms we checked had smoke smell so we decided to stay at the room.
Swimming pool facilities not good. Need to be renovated.
The view from the hotel room was nice.
CCarrie-AnneThe experienced staff were both Friendly and helpful! As I was Traveling late night early morning, I called the hotel for some assistance with a taxi service. They front desk was happy to talk to the driver and even helped me confirm pricing. As a single woman traveling I am wanting to take precautions for my safety. The room was authentic and had a comfortable warmth! The rooms were clean with comfortable beds. The location is close to the touristy spots with easy access to public transportation! Travelers be prepared, so many things to see and do-be prepared. I enjoyed the exciting hustle and bustle and with help I found my way on the public ferry to check out the other side for a local experience. I truly enjoyed my stay, Thank you Empire Palace
GGuest UserWe had booked an economy room on the ground floor. When we arrived, we were kindly given a room of a higher level on the 4th floor. The plumbing in the room was broken, but the administrator Maya quickly solved all the problems and moved us to an even more spacious room! At breakfast we liked the shakshuka, delicious cucumbers and yogurt! Breakfasts are repeated every day, but the quality of the products is quite good. The bus stop and metro are a 3-minute walk away! Nearby there is a shopping center, currency exchange offices, shops and cafes. Cleaning every day. Nice reception, kitchen staff and girls from the cleaning service! Thank you very much for the warm welcome!
GGuest User1. I always use Ctrip, it's good
2. The hotel is located in the old city of Istanbul, very close to various famous attractions and can be reached on foot.
3. The tram station is right at the door, which is very convenient.
4. There are many shops around, eating, drinking and shopping are very convenient.
5. The front desk is full of handsome guys, very nice, and the service is thoughtful.
6. Clean up every day, tidy and clean.
7. Check out is convenient, no need to check the room.
8. In Istanbul, the call to prayer several times a day is too unique and affects sleep. It is everywhere and broadcast throughout the city, especially at night. Haha.
9. Because it is the peak season, the room fee is a bit expensive. I hope Ctrip will become bigger in the future and increase its voice to reduce the room price.
Support Ctrip and recommend Ctrip.
GGarethCReally enjoyed our stay at the Andi Hotel. It’s a quaint, modest place, likely converted from a house. You won’t find a sign outside but just take a look at the photos and memorise the colourful window pattern to find it. It’s down a side street of a main road, 5 mins away from the osmanbey metro station.
As for the room, the pictures don’t lie. Room temp was nice and snug, with ample heating and air con if and when needed. Plenty of windows to get fresh air too. Bed was comfy despite being a double up of two single mattresses. Having the kitchenette was useful, especially the fridge, sink and kettle, though a bit of additional cutlery or maybe a microwave would’ve improved matters. There was a washing machine as well but we didn’t require it. TV was fine too but pretty pointless without a Netflix account or Turkish tongue. WiFi wasn’t too shabby either.
Bathroom was fine too and the water pressure from the shower was perfect, with an adjustable temperature that worked as you’d expect it to without any sudden spikes of heat or cold.
The reception staff are all young guys and a girl in their early twenties. Didn’t speak a lick of English but were helpful when needed. One dude got me a link to football game stream when I couldn’t find it on TV, which was nice. Bear in mind, they give an impression of being unbothered but considering how dull it must be to work there I couldn’t really blame them. They were each attentive when needed so what more do you want.
The breakfast was as simple as the service really. Boiled egg, bit of cheese, few olives, basket of bread and varying spreads. Nothing else and no other alternative. As eggs are my usual go to this worked fine for me. Serving between 8-10am, you just have to ask for it and they’ll deliver it to your room within a quarter of an hour. It made for a pleasant start to each day.
In essence, if you’re looking something cheap and cheerful where you get a little bit above your money for what you pay for, this hotel is for you. Suits folks of a laidback disposition just looking to enjoy their time with their girl/guy or friends as they embrace all Istanbul has to offer, which is a lot.
Recommend!
Llegal106The room is comfortable, the facilities are relatively new, the staff is warm and thoughtful, and they actively provide us with useful travel information, order dinner, and order taxis, and they are very patient. The location is excellent, and the mosque can be reached in a 10-minute walk. It is very convenient to take the tram from the small square next to the mosque.
If I must give some constructive suggestions, it is that we were arranged in the room behind the public bar area. Outside the window are guests walking around drinking beer and enjoying the cool air. Seeing that other guests have their own private balconies, I am really disappointed. I don’t know if it is because other guests have specifically made requests. This trip has a vague feeling that Chinese guests are not as picky as foreigners. They don’t make many requirements for room types and views, so hotels often assign us the worst room types and conditions of the same price. This happened in all three hotels on this trip to Turkey. Remember: make requests in the remarks when booking a room, the more specific the better. Even if they cannot be met one by one, the hotel will know that you are a demanding guest and dare not neglect you
MMojganWe had a very unpleasant experience with stuff at the lobby , being there for Christmas Eve , me & my sister decide to eat inside the hotel rather to go out so at 10 pm we came down to the lobby where there is lounge area , for almost 15 minutes we saw that the lounge staff is passing us without asking if we want to order so I called one of the waitress and she came toward us with furious gestures before I start asking she said to me do you have a room in the hotel and I said yes , she continues what’s your room number and I replied , again with the cold face and rude behavior she continues ‘ under the name ?’ And I replied, she turned back to her desk without asking us what we would like to order and From her desk she went straight to reception to verify my information!!! My jaws dropped when I saw this , really rude & unprofessional behavior I was in complete shock that she even went to reception to verify the information, but the worst part was that after she verified and actually saw that we are the guest of the hotel she turned back to her desk and continued ignoring us , I never ever seen in my entire life a waitress permits herself to act like this with 5 star hotel guests, at this point we asked another waitress that if she can took our order , we then asked her if the hotel have another restaurant and she replied yes but the kitchen is closed after 10:30 pm , I don’t recommend this hotel for anyone that wants to enjoy the hotel facility, the staff are not guest friendly, the dining section is in some floor but for person like me that wants more easy snacks and chill area wasn’t really good option, not to mention that when we came back to our room we really felt so heavy and frustrated by this behavior, we were supposed to go today to lounge before departing but as for yesterday experience we just decide to check out soon and leave the hotel because we didn’t like to tolerate the attitude of this waitress ( she is the short women with short brown hair ) I suggest the general manager to see the video of yesterday and review their staff!
