Ureshino Onsen Yoshidaya Uchiroji Hondori

Sealion
My stay at Ureshino Onsen Yoshidaya Uchiroji Hondori (also known as Yadoya Uchiroji Hondori) was a tale of two extremes in the charming hot spring town of Ureshino, Saga Prefecture. The hotel was modern Japanese-style with smart check-in system. The twin room was spacious, impeccably clean, and exude serene comfort, making it a perfect retreat. The private onsen facilities truly shine— It was a free slot with 40 mins, which could be booked once via QR Code at the room. Ureshino's famous sodium-rich hot springs, renowned as one of Japan's top three for beautifying the skin, deliver silky-smooth water that leaves you feeling rejuvenated. However, the meal plan was a major letdown. I sent an email to the hotel to confirm my booking and stated I did not eat beef before. The customer service replied I had to pay extra per person in order to change the meat option. For over JPY 38,000 per night including breakfast and dinner, we anticipated premium kaiseki cuisine or traditional served Japanese dinner set. Instead, only a bento box with cold salad and an underwhelming beef and egg pie that felt mismatched for the price. Tragically, my husband experienced vomiting shortly after, likely food-related, which overshadowed our trip. And the breakfast was also disappointing, which was only cold sandwiches with a cup of tea or milk. Thus, I strongly recommend the hotel clearly states the exact contents of dinner and breakfast plans on booking sites—including detailed menus or photos—and offers flexible options, such as plan changes or alternatives, if guests fall ill from the food. This transparency and adaptability would greatly enhance the experience and prevent frustration.

Hotel: New and clean facilities. A hotel shuttle can be booked to and from the hotel. The driver mentioned that the developer is the same company that built Ureshino Onsen Station, so they want to heavily develop tourism in the area. Ureshino has 17 hot springs, and this hotel occupies two of them. The water at this hotel is slightly slippery, but not as slippery as in Takeo Onsen. We didn't choose to have dinner at the hotel. There are Italian restaurants and izakayas nearby, and a supermarket is about a 15-minute walk away. The breakfast is plentiful. What I liked most was that each room has a private bath with hot spring water. A minor hiccup: When traveling to Ureshino Onsen, I started from Hakata, then transferred to the Shinkansen at Takeo Onsen. It turns out that the IC card cannot be used to exit the gate at Ureshino Onsen Shinkansen Station; a ticket is required. Furthermore, the IC card cannot be cancelled at the same station; the procedure must be completed at Takeo Station for the return trip. It is highly recommended to buy physical tickets if transferring at Takeo Onsen.

English is very convenient, many English instructions, but the front desk staff's English is general, check-in is also self-service in English, you can ask if you mind. I lived opposite Mercure the day before. The sea view view is not as good as this river view (including Tangjin City view). It is very beautiful. There is a light view at night. There is a small public bath on the first floor. It is so pleasant! Cost-effective choice! The room is warm, there are some, interesting is that the refrigerator is also independent (with English instructions). I stayed for one night without room cleaning. This seems to be cleaned every three days. The garbage can be placed in the corridor. Many Japanese hotels are like this. There is a fast food restaurant next to it, walking distance to JR station, going out is the riverside, a good place to walk. There are (paid) bicycle rentals in the hotel instructions, I did not ask in detail. There are many self-collected items in the lobby, and the English logo has free coffee in the morning, but I left the store earlier and did not use it.

The hot spring temperature was just right, making it easy to get in, and it was great to be able to relax in the in-room bath! The room was also incredibly clean and stylish, and most importantly, spacious! It was also very practical and simply standard! The meals, both dinner and breakfast, were both visually stunning and delicious♪ Since my only option for a relaxing trip was to enjoy a hot spring, I was very satisfied. It seemed like there weren't many guests staying that day, but that made it feel like we had the place to ourselves, just as a family, and the staff were all very kind and pleasant. For those who want to really relax without a packed schedule, I recommend the hotel, as you can enjoy the spa and gym to the fullest! However, I did think it was a bit lacking that there were only two chairs and two hair dryers in the bathroom...

Very high-funded traditional hot spring hotel, the hardware is well maintained, the Japanese-style courtyard in the backyard is very beautiful, the whole hotel is very clean, the elegant and thoughtful layout and layout are very practical, there is a separate dining area, there is a capsule coffee machine, there is a living room to read newspapers and magazines, Slippers are placed in front of the backyard to facilitate the visit of the backyard. Every small place is arranged very intimately. The room is large. The software service is first-class. The staff is very polite. The dinner is kaiseki. The breakfast is very rich. Thanks to the host for providing a quality traditional spa hotel that has been missing for a long time.

It is a quiet landscape that seems to be nestled in the forest, and the hotel on the hill is majestic, as if it boasts its age and experience. All the staff are friendly and friendly I didn't have a dinner reservation, but when I asked, they happily obliged and had a kaiseki meal in a room with my name written on it. I ate Japanese specialty food. All of the food was delicious and overflowing with class. The view of the river from the spacious tatami room is exquisite. The early morning buffet breakfast was also a delicacy among delicacies. All of the vegetables were carefully prepared, and the clear tofu soup, a local specialty, was also a delicacy. Of course, the fluffy white rice and miso soup were the best. There were a lot of things, but the liver and taste were the best. It was a ryokan hotelu that I wanted to go back to.

The environment is quiet and quiet, and you can relax from the sea view. The bamboo crab is extremely fresh and delicious, which is the highlight of this trip! The waiter is friendly and kind, making people feel at home. There is a loan cut in the hall, which can enjoy the hot spring privately. It is highly recommended.

The room is spacious and comfortable, but the hotel does not have an elevator, and you must go upstairs with your hand luggage. Fortunately, the service staff is enthusiastic to assist in handling. The dinner is rich and fresh, it is recommended!
