## TIAD, Autograph Collection, Nagoya: Where Modern Luxury Meets Impeccable Service
As part of Marriott's Autograph Collection, TIAD, Autograph Collection, Nagoya, left a lasting impression on my trip with its stylish design, outstanding service, and prime location. Opened in 2023, this hotel perfectly embodies its brand philosophy, 'Tomorrow is Another Day.' From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I could feel its dedication to creating a relaxing and enjoyable stay for guests. Here's a detailed review of my stay from various aspects.
## Prime Location and Convenient Transportation
TIAD, Autograph Collection, is ideally situated in the heart of Nagoya's bustling **Sakae shopping district**. Located at 5-15-19 Sakae, Naka-ku, Nagoya, Aichi, this prime spot scored a remarkable 9.4 out of 10 and serves as an ideal base for exploring Nagoya. The hotel entrance is just a 20-meter walk from Subway Exit 1, making transportation incredibly convenient. However, it's worth noting that most Nagoya subway exits lack elevators, so guests with large luggage should be prepared.
The hotel's surroundings offer a surprisingly rich array of commercial facilities. **PRACO department store** and **Don Quijote discount store** are just steps away, and luxury brand boutiques like LV and Prada are within a few minutes' walk. Matsuzakaya Department Store is just across Hisaya-odori Park, and the entire Sakae district is only one subway stop away, catering to all kinds of shopping needs. Food enthusiasts will also appreciate the area, with a famous Ichiran Ramen branch within walking distance. There are also numerous restaurants and convenience stores nearby, and the nightlife is vibrant. Even after 10 PM, you can see young people gathering and street dancing, revealing a lesser-known lively side of Nagoya.
## Modern, Stylish Design and Comfortable Guest Rooms
The hotel's design beautifully blends **modern style with a touch of understated luxury**. Its overall aesthetic bears some resemblance to EDITION hotels, particularly in its lighting design and selection of hard finishes. The lobby, located on the fifth floor, is adorned with extensive stonework. It looks particularly stunning at night when lit up, resembling 'a luminous pearl suspended in mid-air.' The terrace outside the sixth-floor Executive Lounge features exquisite moon-themed lighting and offers a panoramic view of Nagoya's iconic TV Tower, making it a popular spot for guests to take photos.
As a Titanium Elite member, I successfully used a Marriott Suite Night Award to upgrade to a **Junior Suite**. Spanning approximately 40-50 square meters, it's remarkably spacious for a Japanese hotel. The room's design thoughtfully balances functionality and aesthetics. Each bedside table is equipped with a smart control tablet. These tablets allow one-touch control of room lighting, appliance switches, and temperature, and you can even activate the 'Do Not Disturb' mode from bed. It's incredibly high-tech. One tablet can also function as a TV, supporting external displays. The new, large TV features a one-touch Netflix connection, which allowed me to binge-watch an entire series during my stay.

Walkable distance (15 minutes) in between the main train station and the attractions. There is also convenience store right opposite. The room is in good style.
This hotel has a stylish, modern design and the room is beautifully furnished. By Japanese standards, the room is quite spacious, which is a pleasant surprise. There’s also a public bath (onsen-style) available, and a paid parking lot for added convenience. Overall, a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing stay.
Good value with exceptional service
We were extremely satisfied with the services and had a delightful experience in that hotel.
Our package included room, breakfast and dinner. Due to a minor traffic incident, we were unable to meet our dinner time of 6:00 pm. We contacted the hotel and they kindly accommodated us and provided attentive service. We were deeply touched by their care and consideration.
The assistance to report of the traffic incident to the local insurance company was unexpectedly smooth with the help of the staff. The language proficiency of the staff was impressive, as they efficiently resolved language-related issues we faced.
Furthermore, the traditional charm of the hotel exceeded our expectations and added to our enjoyment - good value.
We will recommend the hotel to others and look forward to visiting again in the future.
Special thanks to Ms. Oromo Rie, Mr. Toyama, and the staff responsible for our meals.
It looks like a condominium at first glance. (Actually, the 5th floor or more was a condominium, and there seemed to be a resident.)
The front desk is on the 2nd floor, and there are many chairs on the 1st and 2nd floors, so there is plenty of room. I stayed in the room alone, so I could use it comfortably. Also. Breakfast was satisfying with a lot of items!
The only thing that made me worried was the entrance to the large communal bath. It was quite open and I was harassed that I could see the inside.
This hotel is about a 15-minute walk from Higashi-Okazaki Station. Everything else is very good. The breakfast has a lot of variety compared to other hotels and is very good. You can see Okazaki Castle from the large bath!
The front desk staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and the hotel's cleanliness and facilities were excellent throughout. The large public bath, which had a timed male/female rotation, was very hygienic in both the bathing area and changing room. It was spotlessly cleaned, making it very pleasant to use. My only complaint was the strong, mold-like smell from the shower curtain in our room's bathroom.

This was my first time staying at this hotel.
The staff were all kind and polite, and the facilities were well-equipped with a large public bath, bedrock bath, massage chairs, and more, so I was able to have a very comfortable stay.
For breakfast, I had bread and soup. The amount was just right for a busy morning, and it was delicious, so I was very satisfied.
I stayed in the South Wing, but there was an apartment building or hotel next door, so I couldn't open the curtains, so the only request I would make to the hotel is that I would like lace blackout curtains.
It was very clean and the staff were very polite. There was a large public bath, which was very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and had everything from bread to rice. The public bath and breakfast were not crowded, so I was able to take my time in the bath and eat breakfast. I would definitely like to stay here again.

GGuest UserI had a very good trip, this time I use it for the second time, I used lunch with my child many times before, I will use it again. Thank you
AAnonymous UserI enjoyed staying here for 3 nights.
Very friendly staff and budget-friendly hotel for solo-travellers. Around 10 miniute walk to Sakae station. Easy to access the centre of Sakae, can walk to see Mirai Tower and shopping malls. I also enjoyed breakfast and public bath. At the lobby, they also serve self-cafe machine so you can have coffee, newspaper, and extra amenities. The room was very clean. I will stay here again when I visit Nagoya again 😊.
CCHI CHONGThe location of the hotel is not too close to the city, suitable for self-driving people.
The front desk staff is very good and will try their best to answer questions.
The best thing is that the hotel has a cooperation with the hot spring center next door! ! ! Guests can use it for free! ! There are also entertainment centers and so on! !
Recommended!
AAnonymous UserAlthough the room is a bit old, it is well-equipped with facilities. There is also a free shuttle bus. The scenery is beautiful, the public bath is large, the restaurant has a good view, and the overall price-performance ratio of the hotel is very high.
