"My friends and I decided to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival with a staycation at the Sofitel Foshan, and it was absolutely perfect! The biggest highlight of the hotel is its 'what you see is what you can buy' concept – all the soft furnishings and furniture throughout the hotel are exquisite, high-end, and stylish, yet timeless. The location is incredibly convenient; you can step right downstairs and explore large furniture exhibition halls, making it perfect for both relaxation and browsing home decor. It's especially great for a casual get-together with friends. I must give a special shout-out to Nicole from Guest Relations in the lobby. Her service was gentle and professional, and her attitude was exceptional. She was patient and thorough during check-in, and the check-out process was quick and efficient. The entire experience was hassle-free and smooth, which was incredibly pleasant. The hotel's security staff are also very responsible, with regular patrols and well-managed entry/exit procedures, making the overall environment safe and secure. The room was clean, tidy, and offered a luxurious and comfortable ambiance. Our short Mid-Autumn Festival stay was very enjoyable, and it's definitely a place worth returning to!"

"Enjoyed our stay, overall experience was good, but not special. Room was nice and big and very clean. We stayed in deluxe suite in building A. No complaints for the room. There were fruits waiting in the room when we arrived, but no water bottles. I guess they were forgotten and the staff brought water quickly once we called about it. Indoor areas look nice and well maintained overall, although the lobby was quite dark in the evening. Outdoor areas were basically nice, but the hotel looks a bit dirty and worn from outside, and it seemed the same way for the other outdoor areas. Pool looked nice even though we didn't use it. Service was just basic, no extra effort in anything. Everything went smooth, but didn't feel impressed by the service in any way. Breakfast was pretty good and even we arrived quite late they still seemed to have everything there. Some dishes were not so good like bacon which was very pale and soggy, but mostly it was okay. Coffee machine could only make espresso and caffe crema, no milk in the machine. Not a five star experience, but still good overall."

"I had a wonderful three-night stay at Le Méridien during the National Day holiday. First, I must commend the hotel's design. The first and second floors house the public areas and meeting rooms, while all guest rooms are on the third floor and above, offering superb sea views. The building's sections are oriented parallel to the coastline, ensuring all rooms have 'straight-on' sea views while maintaining privacy and aesthetic appeal. The room itself was well-equipped and spacious, with a very thoughtful layout. The moment I entered, I was greeted by the beautiful sea view. As someone from the north, I'm completely captivated by such sea views and outdoor terraces. The fabric and cushions on the viewing chaise lounge were incredibly comfortable. Add a cold drink, and just like that, I was able to completely unwind and switch into vacation mode. The room's perspective was from the tenth floor of the East Wing. Below the West Wing, it probably faces the outdoor pool, which would be more convenient for families with children, but likely noisier than the East Wing. Although the hotel has been open for ten years, the room's hardware facilities are very well-maintained – at least I think so. There are no obvious signs of age or wear. For smart home features, it had electric curtains and a smart toilet seat. The room was generally clean and hygienic, and the bath amenities were also Le Méridien branded. It's a pity there was no minibar, and the drinking water was Ice Dew. I'm not sure why many five-star hotels still offer drinking water that's inferior to budget hotels. I hope this can be improved. In my understanding, a resort hotel, besides sea views, also requires outdoor pools, buffets, and bars. Le Méridien's public areas are excellent. The two outdoor infinity pools, including a children's pool, have flowing water to ensure cleanliness. There were plenty of towels and loungers. The breakfast and main meals at the restaurant were also up to five-star hotel standards, with a rich variety and delicious taste. Despite the large crowds, dining was orderly, and there was hardly any waiting for seating or food. All the staff were putting in their best effort. The hotel doesn't have a private beach. I heard it's not allowed in China? There are a few small paths leading to the beach, accessible by room key card. The beach area near the hotel was indeed less crowded and quieter. The sand wasn't very fine, so walking barefoot might be risky. Finally, I have to mention one thing: I arrived at 3 PM, but the room wasn't ready until 5:30 PM, delaying check-in. While I understand the staff were working at full capacity, it did affect the experience. Perhaps offering some seating in the lobby bar or Western restaurant, or a complimentary juice or fruit plate upon check-in, would have been better."
