A luxury hotel with an ancient style, good maintenance in a public area, we stayed in the ancient building, a clean room but furniture needs updating. Breakfast is a wonderful meal but without vegetables, very limited for such a luxury hotel, the staff is great, we had dinner not so special for the prices.
The stay was overall OK. The reception was friendly and I was well introduced. The signature Thai massage in the spa was a real highlight – very professional and relaxing.
The sauna area was very small and too dark. In the whirlpool area, the design was attractive, but the strong chlorine smell was unpleasant.
The room was spacious and exceptionally clean – one of the cleanest hotels I've experienced so far. However, the furniture was obsolete and the water in the bathroom was only badly flowing.
A total average stay with light and shadow.
The hotel is located halfway up the mountain now, very private. The service of the hotel is very good, it is European butler service. A smart car is also provided, which can be used for free in Switzerland. A great experience~k

If you are booking a luxury hotel in Lugano, there is no other option for me. While it’s not right in the middle of the City, it’s in a nice and quiet area and the 10-15 minute walk to the city is great for settling the stomach after eating to much pizza. The grounds are simply stunning, the views are amazing, the breakfast buffet is not amazing but very good (Although the woman who seat you could smile a bit more, all the other staff at breakfast are great). The private Lido is awesome.
I will never stay at another hotel in Lugano for our annual summer trip, it has won my loyalty for life.
The apartment-style kitchen does not come with any usable kitchen utensils. You need to borrow it from the hotel for an additional fee and you cannot swipe your card. You have to pay cash in Swiss francs. If you take transportation, you need to walk up a small slope every time you enter and exit. The breakfast is good and delicious, and the service staff is very nice. Great
The hotel is opposite the train station, so it is very convenient to travel, the room is clean. Although the size is not very large, it is comfortable to live with air conditioning, we go to the summer, it is a bit comfortable, the shower in the bathroom is strong and the temperature of the warm water is well controlled.
If you want to buy things at the train station, there is Coop, which is open 6-22 a.m. It's easy to walk to find food. Overall, I really like the location here.
I really like this hotel~~~~ Dinner is very good, breakfast is free, better than a lot of five stars ~~~~ I ordered a glass of whisky to send more snacks! Open the window is the Alps
The reception was very pleasant. The room was top, clean and in a very well maintained condition. The restaurant was noble, beautifully furnished and with a very nice and previous service. A small criticism was that there was not so much menu choice. Maybe it was not so much that was corresponding to my taste. However, there was nothing to expose to quality and quantity. The spa area looked very beautifully decorated, with a decent selection of treatments. I can only recommend this hotel.

GGuest UserThe accommodation is top in all areas. The only thing that has irritated us a little at the beginning is the unused reception. Check in online, but it has super hit. We could get into the room at 1400 instead of 1500. Because we wanted separate beds, and these were only in the higher category, we were simply ”upgraded”, just top. Also the extra bed for our 5-year-old daughter was mega comfortable. It was all very clean and the daily cleaning was Super. We are and were just excited. We will certainly come back. Thank you for the beautiful reception.
GGuest UserExcellent in all! Absolutely wonderful location (only accessible with taxi) whether day or night! A wonderful DeLuxe room with sea view! The size, the materials of highest quality and finest design. Eat excellent in the Bistro, since full booked in the restaurant! Unfortunately only one night a.Gr. of much work also in Lugano (visit a super performance in the art and culture center). The fitness/sauna was unfortunately closed, but private spa was bookable before departure Sunday morning ... good alternative. The gardens around the sky! The team was super professional, extremely friendly and helpful. Good and dream of my next visit to Villa Leopold ...Heartly recommended for enjoying the fine and good ... Denise Worlds in Zurich
NNurmenniemiThis hotel is lucky to have such nice persons working for them, absolutely delightful stay and on our way back a very helpful lady gave us advice on where to go and what to see. Very nice person and service. Truly a pleasure to see. As we were here only for a night we barely had time to have breakfast, fast swim and a short walk around the lake below but each of these was very nice. Walk back to the hotel is up the hill, be prepared... Only two negative things come to mind, price of the room is high..seems to be the trend in this country and bathroom shower arrangement. Somehow every time we had a shower we ***aged to splash huge amount of water to the floor and there is no drain for water to go....Used towels to fix this but something is wrong Room price was a disappointment, with the price we payed I was expecting something much more nice, room was basic (comfortable however) and didn't seem to be worth the money. We stayed in first floor facing the carpark...please make sure NOT to stay in these rooms, NO view to anything but cars...unless you like Mercedes, BMW and Lamborghini styling. Sadly this is affecting my plans to come back, country is just too expensive compared what is available just a hour from here. Sorry.
