When you get off the bus heading to Tsuruoka from the airport at Science Park, Suiden Terrace is right in front of you.
The room is simply designed but has everything you need and is very comfortable.
There is also a bar and a library space, which is nice. We didn't have time to relax this time, but if you have the time, I recommend spending some time there.
The open-air baths are switched between men and women in the morning and evening, so you can enjoy them both in the morning and at night.
There was a wide selection of Yamagata specialties for breakfast, which was great to enjoy in the morning.
Charming onsen hotel located 5 min drive from Kaminoyama station. A shuttle pick up can be arranged with the hotel ahead of time available from 1430-1800.
It’s a relatively dated property but well maintained. A small public onsen with a rotenburo, and a small private onsen within the room comfortable for two. The spring water through the property is the same.
Meals provided are extensive, balanced and nutritious featuring local specialities like yam, Yamagata and Yonezawa beef.
Drinks are offered at the lounge in the afternoon from 1700, morning coffee and tea available from 0800.
Overall a comfortable and luxurious stay.
My stay at the hotel was decent. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable enough. The staff was generally polite, but I felt they could have been more attentive. The location was convenient, and the breakfast was satisfactory. Overall, it was a standard experience without any standout features.
When we arrived, we were very happy to find a spacious and relaxing atmosphere.
It was a long time since we last had a private room together as a couple, so we were looking forward to it.
The view from the room was also very good and we were satisfied, but the baths were small and there were only two types, one open-air bath and one inside the building, so we were a little disappointed. However, there were two saunas, they lent us swimsuits, and we were happy that yukatas were free. However, what impressed us the most was that the staff member took a photo of the couple and asked us if we wanted one, and we were so touched that we wanted to go back again.
It was hard to take a photo of the couple, so it felt like we were traveling alone, haha
I want to go again.
Oh! I recommend the spacious space where you can read a book.
The hotel has scale, although it has some history, but the interior as well as the rooms are well decorated!
This time this room is the most expensive, but the room has a private garden and private bath, the family soaking in the hot spring is very happy.
The room has the latest TV to watch YouTube and Netflix. The space in the room is huge, I believe it can sleep six people, haha.
The hotel's breakfast is typical Japanese and Western, more stock.
The hotel has two large baths, men and women can enjoy the two large baths in separate periods, which feels good.
The hotel has lots of free parking...
Clean hotel, location quite central, easy to find supermarket and CVS. We were trapped in heavy snow on the way back from a very bad tour. Hotel was hesitant to pick us up; we were cold and trapped outside and they were about to cancel our dinner even though we have paid for it. Also, the hotel will only answer your call between 09:00 and 19:00; what a lame service … hotel should be ready to answer its guests’ call 24 hrs, especially when you charge your guest over 170 USD per night per person!
The staff were very kind, and although our itinerary required frequent transportation, they were happy to provide pick-up and drop-off services many times. They also booked the tickets for the Zao Mountain cable car on our behalf, and also booked the return tickets online for us. Upon departure, a dedicated staff member accompanied us to the station and communicated with the station service center staff in Japanese. They provided delicious breakfast and dinner, and also had a dedicated translator to help us communicate with them. There were so many elaborate and lovely decorations in the hot spring hotel, which created a quiet and calm atmosphere. The soundproofing was also good, and the bed sheets and comforters were very comfortable. Overall, we are very satisfied! This is a must-visit hotel! Thank you for your hospitality! 🫶🏻
This time I went to Tibetan Wangshubing to find a lot of hotels. After reading the evaluation of the website, I chose this hotel. I was disappointed after I actually checked in.
The view of the hotel is beautiful, the meals are good, the service staff are friendly, the location is good, and the connection service is also provided.
But it may be that the hotel is old and there is a problem with the water pipe line. After we took a shower, we had to put the water in the bathtub. When we found that the water was discharged on the floor of the bathroom, not directly discharged into the water pipe. The water discharged in an instant was mixed with a lot of dirty things, super disgusting, What is even more terrible is that the drainage of the bathroom floor is blocked, the water is too overflowing, our room is wet, the floor is carpeted, causing us a lot of trouble. At 10 o'clock in the evening, no one was there, and we stayed until the next day to check out, which was very inconvenient.
The room I booked was a single-bed room without a bathroom. It was a Japanese-style tatami room with a bed and table converted into a wheelchair-friendly room. The price was relatively cheap. There is no problem if you use it as a budget hotel room, but if you want to experience a hot spring hotel, it is recommended to choose a Japanese-style tatami room.
This is a lobby lounge where you won't want to leave the hotel after checking in. From afternoon to night, it offers a variety of beers, coffees and drinks; bartending at the bar and roasting marshmallows outdoors at night; and a whole large space. There is a rest area and library, where you can enjoy reading a book and listening to your favorite vinyl records...
Finally, the hotel provides a free open-air bath for the first 30 minutes. One is a wooden barrel and the other is Zao Rock, which is highly recommended👍👍👍
