GGuest UserCentrally located, this is an average hotel. It's not that the service is bad, but as a hotel in a tourist city, some practices felt uncomfortable. For example, check-in is at 4 PM, but if you arrive before 4 PM and there are available rooms, the hotel charges an extra fee. However, check-out at 12 PM is strictly enforced. While it's understandable if they state beforehand that a day isn't 24 hours, it's still inconvenient. Another example is the restrooms in the public areas requiring a password. I'm not sure how to evaluate this; on one hand, it's inconvenient, but on the other, it does keep the restrooms very clean through such management. Overall, hotels in Norway generally don't provide slippers or dental kits, so you need to bring your own. This time, only the hotel in Oslo provided slippers, and they were of very poor quality… 😂 The overall feeling is that there are no major problems, but it's an uncomfortable experience.

GGuest UserLoved that the staff were nice and helpful. breakfast was lovely and a good spread. The hotel was conveniently located and we could almost walk everywhere. Parking was quite close but I would recommend to drop off your luggage before driving to the parking as walking on cobblestone floors in the rain is definitely an experience of its own. Parking is expensive and not included in the hotel but well it’s in the city centre so I wouldn’t expect anything less. The hotel staff also helped us to store our luggage when we went out on our activities for the day. We stayed here twice! It was only lacking some amenities that I was used to like toothbrushes, slippers, bathrobes and shower caps but the rest were provided

JJulian_BjThis is an antique-style hotel, said to be over a hundred years old. The lake is just across the road, and the scenery should be quite nice on a clear day. The hotel's furnishings and facilities exude an 'old money' vibe. Perhaps Europeans appreciate this sense of history and aged charm. While I found it novel, the hotel is simply too old! Historical charm doesn't necessarily make for a comfortable stay, and the price is quite steep. Maybe there aren't many options in Voss, and Fleischers is considered one of the better ones, so they don't lack guests. I wouldn't recommend it to friends. Very low value for money!
