Steigenberger Airport Hotel Amsterdam

Steigenberger Airport Hotel Amsterdam actually has a whole honeycomb for breakfast! Their breakfast is truly amazing – a honeycomb, grapefruit, freshly made 'jianbing guozi' (a savory Chinese crepe), and the best omelets I've ever had. Definitely lives up to its reputation as a classic German hotel. Oh, and out of the four pillows, one is lavender-filled. It felt lumpy at first, and I thought it was a buckwheat pillow. I slept wonderfully. There were many Chinese and German guests, and a lot of flight attendants were also having breakfast there. There's a forest near the hotel, perfect for morning runs. However, the facilities are a bit old, and the toiletries feel like those in a budget hotel, all 2-in-1. This hotel is about 8 minutes from the airport. There is a shuttle bus service from the airport to the hotel for free, but from the hotel to the airport it costs 5 Euros. A deposit of 50 Euros needs to be paid during check-in. They DO NOT take cash. Only payments with cards are allowed. The hotel is ok for a night if you need to take an early flight. That's it. For the shuttle bus, there is a bus station right outside the airport. Follow the signs ”Hotel Transfer” or ”Hotel Shuttle Bus”. Not difficult to find.

The location of the hotel is very convenient. It is within walking distance of most tourist attractions in the city center. The hotel staff are very polite and the room is cleaned every day. It is a hotel that I highly recommend. I will definitely stay here next time👍

The service is excellent and the location is also excellent. Although it is not newly renovated, it does not look old at all. Guests staying in the hotel can also make priority reservations for the Michelin 2-star restaurant in the hotel. Attached is the menu for reference

Inntel Hotels Amsterdam Landmark

The first impression of the hotel is quite favorable: it's a modern high-rise building, check-in is very quick, the rooms are decorated in the currently fashionable ”industrial” style, and the views from the window are beautiful. However, after a while, you notice some drawbacks. First and foremost: the hotel takes a hefty 150-euro deposit upon check-in. It's understandable that the hotel is concerned about the safety of the rooms, but for that kind of money, you'd expect luxurious furnishings. What you end up with are ”basic amenities.” There are no slippers, no robes, no conditioner for washing hair, not even proper ceramic cups for hot drinks. The overall impression is that the hotel isn't a 4-star (as advertised). It's a ”good 3-star.”

This is a landmark building, and many people were taking photos outside the hotel. The room was quite small, and the sink drained slowly. When I called the front desk, someone came to fix it. The shower pressure was very weak; I thought it was just low water pressure and didn't bother calling the hotel again, which made for a terrible experience. It wasn't until the 3rd night that I discovered a hidden switch underneath that, once pressed and turned, provided normal water flow. The room had two windows, but they felt small and not very comfortable. I much preferred the hotel I stayed at a few days prior, closer to the city center, with large windows. The upside is that it's very close to the train station, and there's a big supermarket on the pedestrian street outside, making it convenient for shopping.

Good chain hotel. Comfortable bed, spacious room. They take a deposit upon check-in (charged from the card, then refunded). There's a tram stop nearby, and you can get to the city center from there. Next to the elevators, there's a Starbucks coffee machine, so you can make tasty coffee to go :)

This is a 4-star hotel, but the room didn't even have bottled water, slippers, toothbrushes, cotton pads, or any of those small amenities you might need. We had to ask for slippers, and they brought them. The sink was clogged, but they fixed it when we asked. Room cleaning was superficial; one time, they didn't even make the bed, just took out the trash. All the dispensers (shampoo, soap) were nearly empty; we had to request refills. The internet in the room was poor, probably because we were on a high floor. The canal view from the 7th floor was a pleasant surprise – it was definitely worth it. Among the staff, Kostya was very friendly and helpful. The other ladies were less welcoming.

The hotel's airport shuttle service was terrible. They charged five euros and it was completely unreliable. I got on the shuttle on time that morning, but the vehicle was stuck at the gate for 20 minutes without moving. Neither the driver nor anyone from the hotel informed the passengers why. After more than 20 minutes, we were finally told there was a gate malfunction. This forced passengers to take expensive taxis to the airport and risk missing their flights. I emailed the hotel afterwards, but received no response or refund. One star.

Stayed at W Amsterdam and honestly couldn’t fault it. Perfect location right in the middle of everything, easy to get around and ideal if you want the city on your doorstep. Rooms were clean, stylish and had that luxury feel you expect. Staff were sharp, welcoming and made everything easy from check-in to check-out. Atmosphere in the hotel was top tier, especially if you like somewhere with a bit of energy. Overall a quality stay and I’d definitely be back.
