The location is excellent, right next to the train station. It is very convenient to go to other places by train and within walking distance to other attractions. The room is large and clean. The breakfast is very rich and diverse. The service staff is very enthusiastic about arranging day trips. There are many buses on the road next door for traveling to nearby towns.

This hotel is centrally located in a beautiful city, next to the train station and within walking distance of all those trulli, a magnificent cathedral and the main touristy part of town where there are many restaurants, cafes and bars. Despite this being an UNESCO World Heritage Site and at the height of the tourist season, it was not especially busy. The Astoria hotel service was exceptional throughout my stay. There were issues with the internet initially but those were quickly fixed by Franchesco, the irrepressible front desk attendant who also poured me a great glass of red at their bar. His help didn't stop there - he helped me with printing my boarding pass and showing me the locations of everything I needed to see. Thank you. The breakfast the next day was outstanding with fruits, cereal, pies, meats, cheeses, yoghurts and various other goodies. This place was really good value.

Chose this hotel because we were flying into Bari and picking up our rental car at Bari airport for our Puglia road trip. I didn't want to drive into a city and wanted someplace easy and convenient to get to. The Hotel Barion fit the bill. Very easy to get to from the airport and a great view. Rooms were nice and clean, felt safe the whole time. The staff were all great. Had dinner at the restaurant after we arrived and even though there was a large tour group that was dining at the same time the service and food were very good. The breakfast on the top floor in the morning was wonderful.....view and food. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Very nice hotel with “rooms” (trulls) spread across Alberobello, cleaning the unwrought trull as well as attention to the detail. With many trucks spread over the country, the reception is not at a few steps, even where breakfast is made. Very available since we delayed our breakfast time between 10 and 10.30 by 20 minutes. It was appreciated the tea that was offered but would be much more a coffee machine in the truck and it was a real disappointment check out between 9 and 10.30. Recommended to try at least for 2 nights.. Thank you.

Location is excellent, right on the waterfront of the old city. The hotel itself is very grand so to speak, spacious rooms and large public areas. It is becoming a bit old: Not necessarily run down, but dated. There's a bar area behind reception which looks like it's never seen customers for ages, the breakfast is a bit meager for a hotel of this size but then again Italians don't do big breakfasts. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

Although initially, as soon as I approached the reception after arrival, they told me to wait until 12:00. Then they apparently changed their minds. The room has a comfortable mattress! There is a free shuttle. Of the minuses. There were dirty windows almost everywhere (in the room, in the elevator, in the spa area), there was no hair conditioner, there was no reception phone number in the room. I had to go down. I ordered a shuttle to the airport. He left earlier, without me. As a replacement, the reception called a taxi. The car that arrived was a little shocking. Old, dirty, completely destroyed Kia. Thank you for finding a replacement, but it was not very pleasant to see and ride on this transport. The location is not very convenient. Quite far from the center, from the train station. Overall, though, I was satisfied! I think I'll be back!

We were able to serve customers in a very friendly atmosphere near the station. The breakfast restaurant is also nice! I stayed in a room with only a shower. I'm safe because hot water comes out firmly.

Very friendly and smiling reception service. Very fast lift, breakfast that can feed an army, room on the sixth floor with a crazy view, large, mini bar, air conditioning and many other comforts. You can also use the swimming pool. Nice experience, I would do it again

I stayed one night in this B&B. Located above Lama Monachile. My room had a beautiful balcony overlooking the beach. Large, clean room. Clean bathroom. Spacious shower. Equipped with all comforts. Plus point the possibility to park (not very close, but included in the price) in a private parking. The only flaw is not the possibility of having breakfast, but a pastry shop practically attached opens at seven in the morning. Ali was very kind.

Booked a terrace suite, it was perfect and great value for money The hotel’s own restaurant is also very good

Not my first choice and never to return. I was asked to call when I arrived at the airport and I did. I had a local number so there were no issues with communications. I called and the pick up arrived 40 minutes after that. The journey is not even 5 minutes away. After I called again, the agent told me there was heavy traffic -a total lie from hell, the road was empty and clear. It was also a Sunday , minimal movement. I was there for an event which i was late for. After I checked in, I asked to book/reserve a taxi for 12pm. I went down after finding my room and approached the front desk at 12:05 asking for my taxi service that was supposedly booked. When I asked for the car, the agent said that she had not had a chance to book because no one answered - I was made to wait 42 minutes till a car arrived to take me on my way. I believe every one was blaming everyone else and there was nothing I could do but wait and wait. Breakfast the next day which was an inclusion to the booking looked like a government school cafeteria by the side of a bus stop. The entire experience was a joke that was considered a business.

Very nice hotel, right by the sea. The room has a small balcony to see the sea blowing, very comfortable. Breakfast is on the sixth floor and it is also an unrivalled sea view. About ten minutes walk around, it is the central location of the local area. There are shopping malls, restaurants and bars, which is very lively. Take a taxi to the train station 8 euros.

The rooms are very modern and very clean, the breakfast is good, the hotel is well located next to a beach and there are plenty of buses that go to the city. The hotel shuttle to the old town is free, it's great. We really liked the pool, the sweet potato fries and the stews to enjoy by the pool. The staff is perfect, and special mention for Vito, the pool boy who is extremely nice and very helpful

Outstanding hotel, across the board. English speaking staff, easy parking either on the street or under the hotel. Everything is modern and great attention to details everywhere. Room was spacious, and well equipped with good AC and nice windows. Bed was comfortable. The restaurant was quite good. Breakfast was pleasant, but basic. Nice outdoor terrace. The only downside is that there is nothing there. It is close to the highway if you are going places every day and have a car. Yes, you can cab/Uber to Bari as well. Highly recommended for business.

Booked two deluxe rooms (one for single pax and the other for two pax) but was given two rooms of different sizes instead - not very impressed to say the least! Room decor has seen its better days to be honest! Plastic tables and chairs in the room for a 4-star property are pure cheapskates! Air conditioning still hasn’t been switched back on in late April when temperature already reaching low 20 Celsius! Had to stay and sleep in the room with window shut because of noisy disco noises nearby lasting beyond 2 am in the wee hours of Sunday morning ! Got ‘roasted and baked’ in the room with no ventilation as a result - not very ideal when covid is still raging! Still couldn’t understand why the hotel still insists on ‘no self-service’ for buffet breakfast - apparently in the name of covid! ‘Accidentally’ tried to pick up some breakfast items by myself on arrival as there was no sign on display stating the not-so-obvious ‘no self-service’ policy but was told off by one of 2 staff members on duty with plate being ‘snatched’ from my hands! The paradox being this practice caused long queue with only 2 staff members available to pick and dish out items for guests! Long queue and mass gathering of guests would not spread covid but picking up your own food with disinfected hands would apparently! Few ironic observations made though! The two specific staff members on food picking duty didn’t wear gloves at all when picking food with thongs for guests - is that even covid-safe??? One of the two members on that specific food picking duty went on to pick food for guests after clearing and cleaning up table with bare hands and then went over to do their food picking duty for other guests without washing or disinfecting their hands - covid safe I fear not??? If insisting on ‘no self-service’ policy, make sure you have sufficient staff to handle constant stream of guests coming in for breakfast! I was certainly being put off by either long queue or absent staff to help pick the food I wanted!

Stayed for three nights as part of a trip through Puglia and points north. The hotel (at least the part we saw) was a vertical stack of modest but clean and functional rooms, not fancy very good value for the money. Our room was on the 3rd floor, but these are floors with very high ceilings, so it was a real haul unless you used the tiny elevator. The resident manager was very helpful, pointing out places and restaurants for us, even going a bit above and beyond telling us how to get cheap bottled water nearby late on a SUnday evening to avoid having to buy it from the hotel. Location is excellent, an easy 10 - 15 min (European hotels always lowball the walking time from the local train station) walk with luggage from the train station, a gazillion restaurants within a few min walk, and convenient to many of historical attractions of Bari, including the old city. Would use again of I returned to Bari.

There was a reception, and I was able to check in smoothly. I would like to commend this. Recently, there are more and more cases where apartments are used as accommodation, and the owners live in a different location. Some accommodations are cutting costs too much. Even when we contacted them, there were times when we had trouble over the phone, as the guests came from abroad and did not have sufficient language skills. Also, even when guests arrived at the front door, they were made to wait an unnecessarily long time for the owner or their agent to arrive. Since then, I have made it a rule to choose accommodations that have a proper reception, even if they are a little more expensive. Guests arrive tired. I hope that the number of accommodations with excessive costs does not increase too much.

We decided to spend the weekend in Bari. We checked *********** and found Masseria Sant'Anna in Bari Palese. The hotel was situated about 2 blocks from the beach. The room was basic and served our purpose. One of the best parts of the stay was meeting Samuela at the front desk. She was friendly, efficient and helpful. We asked her for recommendations for dinner and she gave us the names of three restaurants. On our afternoon walk we noticed one of the restaurants which looked really nice. On the way back to our room we stopped at the front desk and asked Samuela if she could write down the restaurants for us so that we could check them out online and make a reservation. Then we asked if she was going out to dinner with friends or family, where would she go. She gave us another name and we are so glad she did. The restaurant was very good, and even better, it was in a part of town we never would’ve seen had we not been going to this restaurant. It was about a 30- to 45-minute walk from the hotel, which we loved, and as we approached the area, we saw a lot of people (primarily locals), shops, stores and restaurants. After dinner we were able to casually walk around and even stopped for a gelato. As I said, the hotel was perfect for us; and if you’re lucky, you’ll meet Samuela!

We stayed here whilst on a cycling holiday. The hotel is quite large and is about 10 minutes walk uphill into town so is not very central but is in a very nice setting all the same. We had a beautiful room and bathroom both huge and light and airy and all very clean with a very comfortable mattress. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and we had a lovely choice at breakfast and a very pleasant evening meal, choosing to eat here rather than in the towns eateries which seemed very ‘touristy’. The food was typical of the region and was very nice to try! The bicycles are not stored overnight in a garage but were secured to railings at the front of the hotel but we had no issues at all, the hotel is gated and set down a drive and within its own walled gardens.

Spent the night here before flying out of Brindisi. 10 ride to the airport. Alissia checked us in and checked us out. She was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great. Many hot and cold.options. Loved the fresh squeezed orange juice. Rooms were quiet, clean and comfortable. Website. Says FREE parking but that's on the street IF you can find a spot. They have a few spots for 10 euros that you can reserve. Easy walking.distance to many restaurants.Would stay here again.

I cannot say enough great things about this place! It’s a hidden gem of a stay with large unique cavernous rooms that are clean and comfortable! Beds are great and big! Wi-Fi and AC are strong! Breakfast is wonderful array of cheese, meats, croissants, quiches w lovely ladies helping make you feel comfortable w fresh food coffee and Cappuccinos. The owner is a wonderfully nice man who welcomed and accommodated our late check in from our drive from Naples. Pro tip- get the upgraded room it’s like a room in the Game of Thrones! Location and value in Fasana, which is a cute little town was key as we hit Ostuni, Alberobello (Trulli) unesco, Lecce (the iced coffee wow), Polignano A Mare and Bari airport! Pro tip- go to Borgo Egnazia Beach Club - pay the day fee and enjoy a sweet day swimming in the Adriatic! Grazi Milla to the host - calling him Maserati cause he was the man!
