The St. Regis Lhasa Resort

Barkhor Street/Jokhang Temple
The hotel upgraded our room, provided us with an extra bed, allowed us late check-out and provided smiling/prompt service. Overall a very good experience.
Lano Hotel (Lhasa Potala Palace)
4.8/5854 Reviews
Potala Palace/Sun Island
Very satisfied with everything, the best is the customer service, always answer all questions. Buy an oxygen tube for RMB 10/piece, and you can arrange an oxygen machine at the lobby bar to provide free oxygen. There were sanitary defects, cigarette butts were found, we don't smoke as a family, but it was acceptable, the sprinkler pipe leaked, and the water pressure increased after cleaning. Everything was cured by the warm customer service.
Thangka Hotel
4.7/51250 Reviews
Barkhor Street/Jokhang Temple
This hotel is located right next to the entrance of Barkhor Street and Jokhang Temple, close to shopping and transportation to other places in Lhasa, so the location is perfect. The service is the most impressive, my hotel room was facing the street and there was a loud speaker shouting all day and all night, I had to complaint to the hotel staff even though the speaker was not part of the hotel. They immediately negotiated with the the relevant people, and offered to switch my room to face away from the street. Also the hotel staff helped me to reserve the critical sites and train. I cannnot be more thankful for their help. The room was big and they cleaned every day, they did a good job cleaning the room. The onsite laundry facility was helpful too since I cannot affort to pay for laundry service. All in all, I am very happy with the stay, and will return again if I come back to Lhasa.
Shangri-La Hotel, Lhasa

We stayed at the Shangri-la after a week of being in Tibet. It was a nice change from the more Chinese style hotels we had stayed in and was ideal for the night before our flight out. The rooms are great and we booked one with a bath. The shower was very powerful and hot. The breakfast buffet was, by Chinese standards, decent for western options and the evening buffer was good for approx 200rmb/person if you're in need of more western options. The big plus for me was the gym. Decent by most hotel standards and had a good mix of resistance machines, cardio and free weights (mainly dumbbells of up to 20kg plus a pair of 27.5kg). The only thing missing from the gym really is a squat rack but otherwise very good. Would stay again.
ChunQiu Oxygen-Rich Hotel
4.8/55231 Reviews
Potala Palace/Sun Island
The first hotel I stayed in Lhasa after entering Tibet. I had booked and changed the booking before, and finally chose this one. As soon as I arrived at the hotel entrance, the security guard quickly came to take my luggage. Because I had severe altitude sickness when I arrived in Lhasa by train that afternoon, I went to the hospital for oxygen before going to the hotel, so someone helped me with my luggage. I am very grateful. The hotel’s housekeeper Xiao Pu also helped me with my luggage and delivered it to the room. He was very patient and detailed about the hotel’s free laundry service, oxygen supply, etc. The hotel is very clean and provides disposable bath towels, disposable towels, toilet covers, etc. every day. The clean clothes are returned the next day. After the room is cleaned, the supplies will be replenished in time. There is a humidifier in the room. The room is also quite large and quiet. A piece of fruit is provided every day. It is very considerate. If I have the opportunity to come again, I will choose this hotel again
VIP Building, Xigaze Gesar Hotel
4.6/5268 Reviews
The hotel is very clean and bright, the facilities are very good, the front desk decoration is very Tibetan, there are many locals staying, such as monks. Breakfast is the most abundant hotel I have encountered, with Chinese and Tibetan options. The most important thing is pet friendly! The hotel will provide laundry service, but the phone asked that more than two items will be charged separately, and you can see the price list at the front desk.
PENTSOK KANGSANG-POTALA VIEW HOTEL
4.8/55082 Reviews
Barkhor Street/Jokhang Temple
Excellent service, we are very happy with the hospitality that was offered to us at the hotel. Everything from cleanliness to service to going the extra mile with free floor of mineral bottle, turn down service with fruits and yoghurt etc. Not forgetting the excellent view of the Potala Palace from our rooms as well from the breakfast table truly made our stay a very memorable one.
Lhasa Chijiang Larang Historic Hotel (Bakuo Street Jokhang Temple Branch)
4.8/5708 Reviews
Barkhor Street/Jokhang Temple
I was walking by this place while shopping and thought it was a tourist attraction. But when I went in, it turned out to be a hotel. When I asked about the price, it was cheap, so I booked a regular king-size bed room. The owner directly upgraded it to a 180° king-size bed room. Lazhen at the front desk was very welcoming ❤️ The Indian food on the first floor was also very delicious ✌🏻 This is the most unique hotel I have ever stayed in.
PENTSOK KANGSANG-EVEREST BASE CAMP OXYGENATE HOTEL
4.7/52265 Reviews
I wanted to give it 4.5, but the customer service was sincere and said that the room type was upgraded. After checking out, they urged me several times to give a good review, so I gave it 5 points. Let's all have fun when we go out to play. However, I hope the following opinions can be improved. Our family of four came to see the sunrise and golden mountain. This is the best rated hotel in the town of Mount Everest. The hotel facilities are very new, with floor heating, heated mirrors with defogging, smart toilets, etc. The shortcomings: 1. The layout of the villa is the highest two floors. You have to go downstairs and walk outdoors for a few minutes to go to the restaurant and the front desk. It is not a big problem in summer, but not everyone can accept walking for a few minutes in winter when the temperature is below zero. There is no heating facility in the corridor connecting the rooms. In winter, you need to wear a coat to get something from the family next door, otherwise you will easily catch a cold. 2. The oxygen concentrator is not equipped with a humidifier cup. When you breathe in through your nose at night, the airflow is a bit irritating to the nose. 3. The sound insulation is not good. You can hear the conversation and flushing of the toilet in the next room clearly. If you are a couple, please keep your voice down. 4. The furniture in the room is shorter than that of a normal hotel. I don’t know why I am over 1.7 meters tall and it is not very comfortable to sit on the sofa or bed. 5. The floor heating is too hot. It is set to 23 degrees before going to bed. I woke up in the middle of the night and saw that it was 31 degrees. It is so hot that my respiratory tract is about to be inflamed. I will drink water all the way to Lhasa. The journey is not halfway through. Please don’t get sick. 6. There are too few breakfast options, not even milk and bread. It may be that there are not many guests in the off-season. The driver said that the breakfast in the peak season is still rich. However, for the guests, if there are too few guests, they can make a set meal like an airplane meal to the room, which should not affect the stay experience, right?
Lhasa Barkhor Street Dekang Fuoxi View B&B (Potala Palace Jokhang Temple)
4.7/51214 Reviews
Barkhor Street/Jokhang Temple
Traditional ******* style hotel, the surrounding is relatively quiet, so you can sleep well~ It is very close to Barkhor Street, which can be reached by walking for about 10 minutes. There is an oxygen concentrator, air conditioning and heating, and a washing machine. The facilities are quite complete~ The only drawback is that I don’t know if the sewer in our room’s toilet was blocked that day, and the toilet smelled a bit during those two days~ But it is still worth recommending, quiet and convenient!!
