It was amazing experience for us. We’ve traveled so many places around the world, this hotel was one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in. We only stayed for 3 nights for Christmas, it’s holiday season, everything so beautiful. Great location and services, it was above my expectations except for the foods. When I booked, it didn’t include breakfast, we had to pay extra fees for it. Honestly, it’s okay to try, but not worthy （If you get it free, that’s awesome). Lots of selection, but wasn’t what I expected. It’s pricey, over $500 RMB for 2 one time only. Overall it’s perfect, I would stay there again when I visit Shanghai.

I had a great experience at Crowne Plaza Shanghai. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the service throughout my stay was excellent. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with everything I needed to relax after long days out in the city. The hotel has a classic charm and a peaceful atmosphere that made me feel at home. I also really appreciated the convenient location, close to shops, restaurants, and transport. Overall, a wonderful stay, and I wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend it to others!

Great hotel. The location is very good. It's within a short walking distance of The Oriental Pearl Tower. The breakfast spread was great. It had a lot of options. The only complaint I have is there was a strong smell coming from the bathroom at night

Good hotel. Nearby the disneyland. They also provide shuttle bus to go to disneyland, pudong airport, railway station, the bund. You just need to reserve 1 day in advance. Will come back for sure 😊

We stayed at this hotel because of its proximity to Disneyland, which was very convenient for our trip. They picked up us from hotel to Disneyland and also back to hotel after Disneyland. The location is great, and the staff was attentive and helpful. However, the room we were initially assigned had a strong smell of cigarette smoke, which was a downside. Fortunately, when we reported the issue, the staff quickly offered us an alternative room, which we really appreciated. I would recommend that the hotel take extra care to prevent this from happening to other guests. Overall, we had a good experience, but the hotel could improve in ensuring rooms are always fresh and odor-free.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel, thanks especially to Jackie at the front desk. Although we arrived early, she kindly checked us in and let us know our room would be ready in about 1.5 hours. She offered to store our luggage free of charge so we could explore comfortably, and when we returned, she even surprised us with a gift bag full of drinks—such thoughtful service! The location is unbeatable: right across from Nanjing West Pedestrian Street, directly connected to New World shopping centre, and just a short walk to People’s Square and the metro. The Bund is also within walking distance—about 30 minutes if you’re up for a stroll. There are so many food options around. Our room was clean, spacious, and located on a high floor just as we requested. Facilities were excellent, and every staff member we interacted with was warm and helpful. We’d absolutely stay here again on our next visit to Shanghai!

I arrived around 10am in the morning from the airport which was only an 1hr away to find that I had mistakenly not booked the night I arrived! 😅 Not a problem, they found me a room free, and even with my early arrival, allowed me to check in early! I had breakfast, which was delicious with plenty of options, continental, Chinese and good old, eggs hash browns, beans, sausages etc! Dining room has incredible views of Shanghai! Room was gorgeous, comfy bed, nice shower and bath, desk to work at and English language channels on the TV. Really enjoyed my stay at the grand hyatt it was in a great location with plenty of food options close to the hotel, in summary well worth splashing out a bit more for to stay here, just for the views alone! 🤩

Overall, my stay was excellent and exceeded expectations. The only drawback was the initial arrival experience — there was no clear signage for check-in, and staff at the concierge were chatting amongst themselves. We had to approach them before being told check-in was on Level 2. Thankfully, the front desk team more than made up for it. Special thanks to Locke and Skai (hope I got the names right!) — they were warm, professional, and even upgraded us to a suite. I also asked for the Conrad bear (I collect them!) and they kindly sent it to my room, which I truly appreciated. Room service was prompt and efficient. However, the concierge service could be better organized. We only had two parcels and used luggage storage, but the experience felt less polished compared to other Shanghai hotels, which usually impress with their efficiency. Still, I had a great stay and would definitely choose this hotel again when I return to Shanghai.

I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. Close to the metro station (≈7 min walk), plenty of restaurants around. You have a direct access to a Family Mart from the hotel. Staff was nice. And the view from the room was breathtaking (floor 37).

I had the pleasure of being assisted by Joanna at the hotel reception, and I cannot praise her enough. From the moment I arrived, Joanna was warm, welcoming, and incredibly professional. She made the check-in process smooth and efficient, answering all my questions with patience and a genuine smile. What truly stood out was her attention to detail and her willingness to go above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. Whether it was helping with local recommendations, assisting with special requests, or just her friendly attitude every time I passed by the front desk — Joanna truly made me feel valued as a guest. It’s rare to come across someone who combines efficiency, professionalism, and heartfelt hospitality so effortlessly. She is a real asset to the hotel, and because of her, I would gladly return and recommend this place to others. Thank you, Joanna, for making my stay such a positive and memorable experience!
