We actually stayed at Kruger View Lodge on the same property but couldn't find on this site! Accommodation and view of Kruger, Croc River etc was really great. Had friend from overseas so was impressed. Clean simple accommodation. Nice and quiet atmosphere. Easy walk in the evening to Rio Vista and The Deck Restaurant. Bush atmosphere (on the river), food and service great. Thanks for a lovely stay.

We spent three nights here on our first visit to SA. The all-female staff (all the male staff seem to work in the gardens!) are friendly and helpful. The lady in the office was brilliant and created a great itinerary for us for a couple of days, as we had no specific plans and no car. If you have a hire car, would recommend the gorge and Elephant Whispers, the sanctuary. She organised a driver to take us out to various local places, and we had a great time doing this. The room was very comfortable, good wifi, and we loved the outdoor shower, even if the weather was a little chilly while we were there! The restaurant offers a great choice of food, huge portions, and a comprehensive wine/drinks list too. The hotel is set in lovely grounds, where you can see monkeys scampering around and a huge variety of birds. There are a couple of short walking trails. We didn't try the pool, as it was still a bit cold forus. All in all a very positive introduction to SA!

Easy access to Kruger National Park, be sure to choose a buffet breakfast and dinner because there is really nothing to eat outside.

The reservation was a horrible experience they blamed *********** while also on their side they did not bother to check their emails where I informed them there was a mistake on the number of persons booked. My per room booking ended up being a per person booking. The restaurant seemed to be clueless of the menu and what is included in their breakfast offering we were made to run back and forth while they were arguing between themselves if the Latte was included or should be paid separately. The porters and the ground staff were the friendliest and nicest, allows offering to help. Oh the spa staff tried to pull a fast one on us by claiming we were double booked unfortunately we knew that was not true and they just wanted to accommodate a certain kind of people but we did not back down. Besides all negative the facilities itself is extremely beautiful, peaceful, well equipped and has great views.

We booked the Rhino package and it was all so easy and smooth, Candice arranged for us to be collected at the airport and everything was perfectly organised! We went on our first evening drive with an external guide, while we did see lions and a leopard on this drive, the second day with France from the Sabie Lodge was far more special. He was so informative about the park and each animal that we saw, whether it was big or small! It was a really special day! After long drives it was so nice to come back to the lodge and relax on the terrace while watching the hippos and elephants with fantastic food and service from the team. I would highly recommend this if you want an easy safari trip - we only stayed 2 nights but wished we stayed for longer! Overall it was fantastic value for money and the service was top notch!

Stayed at Elephant Walk Retreat in March 22 and we were wowed from the moment we arrived. Fantastic location right at the entrance to Kruger, you can´t get any closer! Amazing views of the river where we were lucky enough to have 2 visiting elephants just as we arrived. There is a beautiful swimming pool for you to relax in after a long day in Kruger or even spend the day beside if you fancy having a relaxing day out of the park. Great self catering facilities just a short drive from town where you can stock up on supplies or eat in one of the local restaurants. If you want good priced accommodation with excellent facilities very close to Kruger this should be your no1 choice! Thank you for a great stay and hope to come back again soon!

We visited Sabi River Sun in December 2020, having visited this resort last in 2008! We should never have stayed away for so long, considering this resort is still as lovely as it was back then! On both occasions we stayed in the hotel, as opposed to the self-catering chalets. Check-in was a pleasant, efficient process, with us having made full payment during the booking process online. This naturally sped up the check-in. There are a few Covid-19 related checks that take place, which is now normal for all hospitality establishments. Our room overlooked the kiddies playarea, with a view of the pool area too. The room (#220) was comfortable, but it does appear dated, in need of a slight refurb. We spent more time than we would normally in the room due to the rainy weather during our stay. Breakfast and dinner was equally excellent. We engaged with the chefs on duty at both sessions daily due to our Halaal requirements, which the chefs were aware of, and met! We were most impressed by this!!! Just a note - on our check-out, when settling the dinners for our daughter (dinners are included for adults), we noticed that someone else's receipt was also included in our bill. Upon querying this, we were presented with the receipts and highlighted the 1 that was not ours. I guess this can happen when the writing (room number, etc) is illegible. Not a trainsmash though! During the stay, we met with Malcolm (GM) and his team. This was excellent as we managed to engage on our visit experience, etc. All in all, a wonderful stay! We most certainly intend returning, hopefully, it does not take another 12 years :-)

the host were great and security of the area is excellent

The first time I stayed at The Capital Mbombela., there are welcome water and cold bottles and cans of sports drinks at the entrance of the lobby. The reception staff at the counter are very kind and courteous. The hotel can reach the opposite Ilanga mall. within two minutes walk.

Very satisfied, the room is large and the price is very high

Clean and neat. Good stay for the business trip. Breakfast was ok. Not many choices but enough for light meal. Shower booth was spacious and there was a soap and bodywash. Gym was in the other hotel but swimming pool was in the hotel. Near by the mall which is very convenient. I'll visit again.

We booked a two day stay at the Loeries and our stay was absolutely pleasant and amazing. Thanks to the great service from the guest house staff. Absolutely wonderful and they truly go out of their way to making your stay feel awesome and good. One thing I would asked the guest house though, to please be diligent with request coming with each booking made. Other than this, our stay was wonderful and the room was really spacious and enjoyable. Thank you. Zithobile

This lodge was immaculate from the room, to the food to the service. I would definitely recommend ppl to visit this. Also, I would suggest ppl check out the orange restaurant next door. Amazing!!! 6 stars
