Firstly, I was put into a room that I did not book and was told I cannot change to a room that I had paid for because the hotel was overbooked. The front desk, eventually, moved me once I had pointed out that it was a health hazard to stay in the room they assigned to me because they had painted it that very day and I could still smell the paint fumes.
After being moved, I was put into a room that I actually paid for. The toilet leaked and the shower was blocked.
I will say though that the front desk was very friendly and tried to help as much as they could.
All in all, it was not a good experience and I won't be staying again.
Loved my stay at Radisson. Location is perfect. Staff are friendly and helpful. Spa is convenient and the treatments left me feeling relaxed and ready for my holiday. Buffet was delicious and restaurant never disappointed. Room was spacious and clean. View from the pool is beautiful and bar service on point. Would absolutely recommend Radisson Blu Sandton. Will return.
Comfortable and clean, come next time, good, comfortable, clean, come next time, good, comfortable, clean, come next time, good, comfortable, clean, come next time, good, comfortable, clean, come next time, good, comfortable, clean, come next time
This B&B is run by a kind-hearted Chinese couple. It’s easy to communicate and the environment is very good. It’s very safe to go out in this area during the day. Taxi service is very fast. It is recommended to buy a phone card when you come to the airport here, or ask the landlord to help you buy it because it is available on Taobao in China. The ones I bought are basically useless. There is a supermarket nearby where you can walk to buy ingredients and cook in the kitchen. It is very suitable for Chinese people to stay in a hotel.
The staff was exceptionally friendly and very accommodating. The ladies and the gentleman absolutely hospitable.
The total stay was great . Could do with a revamp as the bathrooms are a bit old .which the exceptional service made up for.
Overall great stay
Hi
It was a lovely place but was very suprise of a group of young ladies making a very loud noise/ at +-3:45 am.
This same group were making noise at +-11 am. I fail to understand you'll have 24 hours security and no one even noticed this.
I was very intimidated to actually open the room door to see what was the issue. I was planning for a peaceful night.
City Lodge Airport is a convenient stay over place for flying out or layover. The menu is great and it's a short walk to terminal building where there is a variety of restaurants and shops available.
The service staff is very friendly, the breakfast is great, and the environment is beautiful. It's just that there are occasional power outages and trips
The network is only 200M per day, and it has not started to receive a few emails.
The facilities are still a bit old, and the bathroom is obviously designed many years ago.
Hotel level check-in, very safe to enter and exit
The bed is very comfortable, there are not many breakfasts, but it tastes good.

BBrendon PackerI thought the place was nice, but to be honest the blankets on the bed and in the cupboard annoyed me with static electricity. The shower water came out way too fast. But everything else was great and the people are very nice.
SSlindelo Joseph MlangeniHere is a draft hotel review for Road Lodge Carnival City Hotel based on the details you provided:
Road Lodge Carnival City Hotel Review
Location: Conveniently located near Carnival City entertainment complex in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Room: The rooms at Road Lodge Carnival City are on the smaller side, but well-laid out to accommodate a family of 3 comfortably. Despite the compact space, everything you need is right at hand. The beds were clean and comfortable.
Cleanliness: This property gets a 5-star rating for cleanliness. The hotel staff clearly takes pride in keeping all public areas and rooms spotlessly clean. Our room was thoroughly cleaned each day with fresh towels provided.
Amenities: In-room amenities were basic but sufficient. Free wifi access allowed us to stay connected. The daily refreshment of ice from the vending machine in the hallway was a nice touch.
Breakfast: While we did not partake in any meals here, breakfast is buffet and by the standard of most hotels, was ample and well-prepared.
Service: Front desk and housekeeping staff were polite, helpful and attentive to any needs during our stay. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient.
Value: For the affordable room rate at Road Lodge Carnival City, we felt it offered excellent value. The proximity to entertainment and clean, comfortable accommodations made it a hassle-free base despite the modest size.
Overall: While the rooms are on the small side, this hotel gets high marks for cleanliness, location and service. It provides clean, comfortable lodging for an affordable rate that is perfect for a family trip to Carnival City. I would definitely stay here again.
GGuest User5 minutes drive from airport. Convenient for transit.
Room is average. The ac is very loud, lucky we do not need AC during the night.
Staff knows what they are doing but do not make guests feel welcomed.
BBrougleI recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful hotel and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by its excellent location, top-notch service, and overall hospitality.
The hotel's location was simply outstanding. It was conveniently situated, allowing easy access to nearby attractions and amenities. Whether it was exploring the city or embarking on a safari adventure, the hotel's central location made it a perfect base for my travels.
The service provided by the hotel staff was truly exceptional. From the warm welcome at check-in to the attentive assistance throughout my stay, I felt genuinely cared for. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that all my needs were met, including a special favor of allowing me to leave my suitcase while I was away on the safari. Their flexibility and accommodating nature were greatly appreciated.
The hotel itself was a sight to behold. It exuded elegance and charm, with its beautifully designed interiors and well-maintained facilities. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect, from the tastefully decorated rooms to the inviting common areas. It was a pleasure to return to such a comfortable and inviting space after a long day of exploring.
Overall Rating: ★★★★★
JJASON DENNISFirstly, I was put into a room that I did not book and was told I cannot change to a room that I had paid for because the hotel was overbooked. RRyun KiatI recently stayed for a couple of nights, and overall, it was an average experience. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff was friendly, which I appreciated. However, the room itself could have been a bit more updated. While it was clean, the furnishings seemed a little worn, and the bathroom, although functional, had some minor issues like a leaky faucet.
The bed was comfortable enough, but I did find it a bit harder than I prefer. The hotel amenities were standard—there was a gym and a small pool, though I didn't have time to use either. The Wi-Fi worked fine, and I didn't encounter any issues with the air conditioning or heating during my stay.
One thing that stood out was the location. It was pretty convenient for my needs, close to a few restaurants and shops, though not overly special. I was hoping for a bit more from the hotel's restaurant, as the menu was somewhat limited and the food was just okay.
In short, it wasn’t a bad stay, but it didn’t blow me away either. If you’re just looking for a place to sleep without expecting anything extraordinary, this hotel will do the job.
GGuest UserIt's giving more 3 than 4 stars? Customer service poor.
Holiday Inn was full so this was a close alternative.
Had amenities but their outlets were in the kitchen far from the bed? Not very business traveller or relaxing traveller friendly.
I booked a queen studio which had a kitchenette which was great for warming food etc. Decor a bit tired so could do with some love. But apart from a very dirty bottle left on the balcony it was clean.
Location is excellent for Rosebank Mall even if you have to play chicken to cross the road 😆
Customer service was severely lacking. I thought Radisson Red staff were slow but at least they were always there. You can't call frontdesk . It's all QR codes and WhatsApp. Late check out would be the cost of another night R1980. Staff had a, I dunno attitude and werent very helpful. 1 security guard and 1 young lady in the lounge are the only exceptions. Outlets in the lounge and office were local only and I had to really ask to get where I could buy adapters / converters.
Next time I'll go elsewhere. They're not customer focused enough for me.
NNK JujuLovely Place. About 20 minutes or less away from the city centre. The stuff was friendly and very helpful. The room was tired and clean. Little noise from the outside because of the highway. But not a bother at all. Definitely coming back the next time I visit South Africa.
Side note. If you are travelling from abroad you might want to have an extension cord or adapter to fit the sockets for your devices. As the ones in South Africa are different from most parts of the world.
FFlorence MoyoWell, from what I booked, it was supposed to be a 2-bedroom apartment. However, I was given a 1bed (Room.303), and when I went down to enquire, the reception lady wasn't helpful and blamed it on the app. Then I had to ask for a wifi password, which I would have assumed you would be given at reception. I ordered something, and when I went down to get it, the same reception lady gave me a bit of attitude when asking her how to open the main door so I could collect. Now I'm not normally one to complain, but I guess she didn't realise she was dealing with a person who has worked over 15 years in reservations, and I am very much aware of how OTAs work. I am still very upset about the wrong room choice I was given and made to feel like I'm the one who made an error. Then there was NO iron and hairdryer in the room. Apparently, they don't have any available from what I gathered from the housekeeping lady.
Besides that, the housekeeping lady was exceptional, and the apartment was very clean upon check-in. Hopefullysomeone from the place will address these issues.
WWENHONGThe first stay was ok, but it was a family house renovation, cockroaches because I booked it close to me. The room was on the second floor pushing open the door to the balcony, where there were tables and chairs but thick dust. The second stay was very angry 😡, because there was something wrong on the first day of two days, the next day they found that they sold the good room I ordered at a higher price to later people without my consent. I could go to the room where I was almost in, and the hot water in the room was put for 20 minutes before it came out. Will not stay at the inn again. Thanks to Trip.com customer service for its excellent service!
