We were warmly greeted by the staff at the entrance. I had booked a deluxe room and had arrived early, would have appreciated an early checkin but the room wasn’t ready so meanwhile I explored the resort amenities. It has a private beach with a mini golf area and a bar alongside. The staff is friendly but most of the staff is new, a bit slow but they get you what you need. Maybe that’s how they’re wired, I’m unsure but they were kind. Pictures don’t do enough justice to this property. It’s massive, beautiful interiors with high end quality products. Loved the spa, felt so rejuvenated and I loved their bathing product line, the shower gels, etc. It’s ace quality. Food was good. They had live performance that got everyone on flood. It’s one of the best properties I’ve stayed at.

Amazing stay! I wished I had found this place before my previous booking. A mistake in my arrival date forced me to look around the area to find another hotel when I found Amaan hotels. Best choice ever! Great service, location right by the beach, breakfast buffet was a feast and the rooms have all you need after a day by the beach and pool. I would definitely choose this hotel again!! Perfect for all types of travellers!!

This hotel is very nice if you think about the price to quality ratio. People who work there are ok. The hotel is clean and has a nice restaurant inside that serves many dishes. There was music during the day and the cleaning service did a good job. The only thing that is not on is not about the hotel but about the area - when we get out of the hotel many street and beach vendors aggressively approach us. The hotel is ok so you can go there and rest for even a few weeks but the area is dangerous so stay safe in the hotel. Some of the street vendors are so rude that they are going after you from the beach to the hotel main door where the body guard stops him.

An amazing hotel, with unforgettable experience great service and the amenities are perfect for a couples getaway. A perfect getaway to connect with nature and your loved ones. Would definitely want to return back. Special thanks to Salum ( our butler) for an amazing experience and taking such great care of us even when he was fasting for ramadan!

The Lux Marijani Zanzibar hotel was a DREAM ✨ The hotel getaway you never knew you needed. The hotel is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes away from the airport. Upon arriving at the hotel we were warmly greeted by hospitable staff and amazing refreshments 🍹 The transition to our room was seemless thanks to our wonderful concierge Temba 👏 The room was beautifully decorated and spacious with a great view of the hotel’s private beach. It was equipped with a hair dryer, bathrobes, slippers, a kettle and a TV (with YouTube access). The hotel is perfect for couples and family alike. With an extraordinary food menu from its three restaurants. The hotel offers regular themed buffet meals ( Mexican Night/ BBQ Night) for its guests. It offers meals right around the clock: Breakfast ($35 usd), Lunch ($35 usd) & Dinner ($45 usd). There is also an option to pay from all-inclusive meal packages upon arrival. Special shout out to Chef Desi for his mouthwatering coconut delights, I will miss that the most! 😂 The hotel’s facilities also include a pool 🏊♀️ and a gym 🏋️♀️ (open from 7am-6pm). There are also various daily activities like Marco Polo, table tennis, art class, cooking class and beach volleyball to name a few. It was overall a great experience staying at the Lux Marijani Zanzibar and I would urge everyone to enjoy this experience on their own. Whether it’s dancing the night away to the music of the live band or just taking a sunset stroll on the beach. It was truly a life-changing and I highly recommend staying here. Great hotel, but some niggles. Has safe parking, central location, nice staff, big rooms. In our first block power off virtually every night 6-9.00 pm, Did get moved and was a huge improvement. Breakfast could be a little more interesting On the whole well worth a visit 😎

The location and recreational facilities here are excellent. The staff are also generally friendly. However, there's a cultural difference that's worth noting: the local 'pole pole' (slowly, slowly) and 'hakuna matata' (no worries) mindset can clash a bit with the 'ppalli ppalli' (hurry up) tendency of Koreans. Haha. But if you experience it, you'll realize there's no ill intent, so as a traveler, it's best to just relax and go with the flow. I mention this because I had a bewildering experience where I booked through Trip.com, but upon arrival, the resort told me there was no reservation. In the end, I spoke with a Trip.com agent, and the issue was resolved well. I'm not sure of the exact cause, but it seemed like a booking system problem. I don't think it was solely Trip.com's fault; I suspect there might have been a system issue on the resort's side as well. The resort staff working that day did their best (honestly, there wasn't much they could do; it was evening, and they even showed me on the monitor that there was no reservation). Luckily, there was a room available, so I was able to book the same room on the spot. As soon as the payment went through, it seemed to appear immediately in the resort's booking system, and they gave me the confirmation. Haha. I was so tired, humid, and mosquito-bitten after flying in from Serengeti and arriving in the evening... it was tough. Haha. I'm so glad it was resolved; I don't even want to think about what would have happened if there were no rooms left. Make sure to send a reservation confirmation email to the resort and get it confirmed. On the way, I saw a Google review from another Korean who experienced the exact same thing and left an angry review. They booked through Agoda, and I booked through Trip.com, so I believed I wouldn't have this issue. That's because I've never had such a problem in the several years I've been booking through Trip.com. Yes. So, definitely send a reservation confirmation email directly to the resort and get it confirmed! The facilities are clean, convenient, and really great. For this price, I think it's excellent. And having a dive center attached is very convenient. The boat for the dolphin tour was really nice. Lolololol. Our boat was the best. Of course, it was more expensive. And I loved having unlimited drinks at the bar every day. I want to go again. It looked like they were building another resort next door, haha. I hope this review is helpful to everyone.

We were absolutely delighted with Kendwa Rocks Hotel! We stayed in a deluxe room, which was very comfortable, with a sea view from the balcony and a perfectly working air conditioner. The grounds are well-maintained, with many spots for photos. On the beach, there are plenty of sun loungers, and the relaxation area is guarded, so locals don't come too close. The sea is amazing, with easy entry into the water and lots of water activities. In the evenings, there's occasional entertainment, and on Saturdays, there's a beach party. There's also a swimming pool with a sea view, perfect for spending time during low tide. There are several bars and cafes on the property. The staff are very friendly and polite, always ready to help and advise. The only downside was the breakfast; there wasn't much variety, only a few options to choose from. We would have liked more choices. Overall, I definitely recommend this hotel!

Hotel: Beautiful views and nice arquitecture. On our last day they let us do a free late check out and have dinner and stay at the hotel till 11pm which really shows that the hotel care about their guests. Food: The food is good. The cliff restaurant is very nice and with good dishes. Buffet is quite diverse and you have the BBQ night which is awesome. Something to improve: desserts. Service: All the staff is very nice and friendly. Pools: You have 3/4 different pools with 2 bars which is great to order some drinks. Room: big rooms and very spacious. Bed sheets, towels and matress are quite old. They need to be changed. Gym: Needs an improvement. To close it and are some fan/air conditioner. They should add some running and bike equipment. Beach: Beautiful beach with super crystal water. Something bad is the local people that wants to sell everything at all time. But I guess that is something normal in all Zanzibar. Score: 8,5/10

Best birthday weekend ever! The staff were warm, welcoming, and full of joy 🤗. My beachfront room was breathtaking, waking up to the ocean was pure bliss. Huge thanks to the team on 31.08.25 for making my birthday so special with songs and a beautiful cake. Asanteni sana! 💜
