They have this policy of no loud music after 10pm but sadly our first night the people who stay on the buttom room bought their own speaker and turn on loud, beating music even after midnight. We called the reception at 11pm which they responded but the people just turn down the music and turn it on again after they left.
Overall, Good location as Dunstan lake is nearby, Worth the money and the have a good view.
Fantastic stay. Friendly and very helpful reception. The accommodation was clean and neat. Close to Botanic Garden and University of Otago. Highly recommended. Will definitely stay here again when returning to Dunedin.
We've been touring around the lower South Island for a little over 2 weeks, staying at motels for generally about 2 nights at a time. The Sierra Motel ranks as one of the nicest we have seen in the whole trip. The exterior looks dated but the interior is fabulous - large, clean, comfortable, and modern. There is a large TV (with basic Sky - would like to access Netflix), king bed, two lounge chairs and a good work/dining space as well as a large shower with two shower heads, and a large outdoor area with an exterior table and 2 chairs. We enjoyed a G&T outside our unit in the fading afternoon sun - very pleasant. Booking through Trip.com also gave us a very competitive price and 25% better that anything the motel would offer, so we were very happy indeed.
My recent stay at Oakridge Resort Lake Wanaka was overall a very positive experience, thanks to its fantastic amenities. After long days spent exploring the stunning surrounding landscapes, the hot pools were an absolute highlight. Soaking in the warm water under the stars was incredibly relaxing and a perfect way to unwind tired muscles. This was definitely a standout feature of the resort and something I greatly appreciated.
If I were to be particularly picky, the only minor annoyance during my stay was a faint but persistent hissing sound coming from the telephone line in my room. While it wasn't overly loud, it did become a little distracting when trying to get to sleep.
Despite this small issue, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Oakridge Resort.
Very close to the center, convenient transportation, great room facilities, public restaurant on the first floor, large, complete tableware, good boss, highly recommended
We love the lake view from the balcony. Though it is not within walking distance from the town centre, it’s nevertheless tranquil and serene. There’s a ferry service, at a cost, to and from the town centre. Customer service officers from Hilton would be more than happy to share more on this.
We like the morning breakfast though you really should be prepared to wait if it’s during the peak hours. I love their real honeycomb. What a treat that was!
Spread wise could have been wider, but quality is decent.
We enjoyed the friendly service by Hilton. We only stayed for one night, but would be happy if I had more time there.
Overall, a very good stay there.
The service is very good, and you can store your luggage. Although it is a shared bathroom, there are more than one shared bathrooms and toilets. There is a wash basin for your own use in the room. In addition, the shampoo, hand soap and other supplies are not messed up. They are relatively good products, but the fragrance is woody, and those who don't like woody fragrance may not be used to it. I personally like it so I think it's okay. The bathroom is also very clean, and the owner should take care of it more carefully. However, the single room is small and is only suitable for personal luggage.
After a strenuous ****** Valley Trail walk on Mt. Cook, a good choice for a break before heading to Queenstown on the next day. The room layout is good and the kitchen facilities are adequate. No handheld shower in the bathroom is the only drawback.
Doubletree was a last minute decision upon arriving Queenstown from Mt Cook. Although it is pricey, no regrets getting a room here for 2 nights. It came with a fully furnished kitchenette where you could do some cooking but didn't utilize this since we ate out. One peeve I don't understand is the need to pay for parking since onsite (NZD$ 16 per nite). There's ample parking and for guests that drive in, this should be complimentary for stay duration.
Location is outside of Queenstown but water taxi available from hotel dock. Recommend for the environment and fantastic room but giving 3 stars for facilities due to need to pay for parking.
Location by the lake allows peace and quiet and also wildlife encounters. Front desk staff during checkin time was very attentive and helpful as well.

FFirew DemelashI had 3 night Copthorne Hotel and Resort
Queenstown Lakefront the room is clean and basic the bed comfortable l had a good sleep the room to big even had a good seating area coffee tea in the room TV had variety of choices however the bathroom that not that great they need to get rid of that bath basin I am not sure what is purpose? The shower curtain so cheap common if you charge your guests a top dollars you can afford a decent shower curtain it New Zealand not a 3rd world country. All the Wi-fi so terrible even basic email take time to download also what is deposit for if you don't have any minibar in the room? I think all those can improve a good management I had pizz one night taste good anyway this Queenstown accommodation always in short that way they don't care still a good place to crush a big hot two.
KKLylo is a modern hotel that offers a clean and comfortable environment for travelers. The pods are spacious and cozy. The location is great — it’s within walking distance of popular tourist spots in Queenstown and is also close to the bus station and a supermarket.
GGuest UserThe location is OK. It only takes 8 minutes to drive to the place where you can watch the blue penguins returning to their nests at night. There are also many choices of places to eat around. The room is very clean and it is quite quiet at night. The only thing I am not satisfied with is the attitude of the motel owner. When we checked out and were about to drive away, he caught up with us and asked why we had an extra bed. I explained to him that the bed that the child chose at the beginning was not comfortable for him to sleep in, so he changed it. He used this as an excuse to charge us an additional cleaning fee of 25 New Zealand dollars, saying that it increased his workload. If we were not in a hurry, I would really argue with him. There was only 15 New Zealand dollars in change in my bag, and he said 15 was fine. It was obvious that he was extorting money. The quality is really poor.
效效用函数I went to see the rooms set by Penguin. I was a bit worried about staying in the motel for the first time, but the location and the environment are good. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the town center. It’s convenient to have breakfast at McDonald’s next door. It’s 30 minutes walk to see Blue Penguin. About minutes.
이이진희We chose this hotel because we expected to enjoy its winery/food. Otherwise, we should have stayed in Queenstown with a lot of restaurants and pubs.
As we would arrive in the early evening, we put a note for our hope for experiencing their winery and food (or at least finger foods) when we booked the hotel, and received email that they cannot guarantee but will do their best to serve our need. Since then, no email was sent to us. When we arrived at the hotel around 6 pm, no one was in the information desk, so we had to go to the bistro to find out that they left the key in a safe box without any notice or sending us any email with its password. We had to wait a while for the bistro lady to make a phone call to whom it concerns, which was okay. Worse, we heard that their bistro was reserved for a group event so we could not use the facility at all. We had to drive 15 minutes to a nearby town and bought foods from a supermarket. I think the hotel should have notified us of impossibility of using their bistro/food service due to the group event and we have to prepare for our food. As I checked out, I left a note about the issues, and expected they would send me an email to express their sincere apology. Unfortunately nothing happened so far. Although I liked the room as well as the whole place very much, I think Kinross cottage needs professionalism to run their stay program. It could have been much nicer, memorable stay experience.
Ssuper酷酷鴨Stayed here for two days in a row. The location is very good. I chose it because the introduction said there is free parking. Currently, this youth hostel has 3-4 parking spaces in front of the door, first come first served. Otherwise, you need to go to Hamilton Road to find one (which is often full). You need to bring your own shower gel and shampoo, which is not very convenient. Other than that, I can give it a very high score. The youth hostel has cooperation discount codes with some attractions, you can ask the front desk to get them. If you are traveling alone, I still recommend them.
DDragan S**Great Stay with Stunning Views**
I had a fantastic stay at **La Quinta by Wyndham Remarkables Park Queenstown**. The hotel is modern, clean, and well-maintained, with spacious rooms that offer beautiful mountain views. The bed was very comfortable, and the in-room amenities, including a kitchenette and laundry facilities, were a great bonus.
The location is excellent—close to the airport, shops, and restaurants, yet quiet and peaceful. It’s also a convenient base for exploring Queenstown and the surrounding areas. The staff was friendly and helpful, making the stay even more enjoyable.
Overall, a great choice for a comfortable and convenient stay in Queenstown. Highly recommend!
GGuest UserThe place is a bit old now but it's expected with the price, which comes with a small buffet breakfast and parking at the front. It is close to the ski resort and staff is friendly. It has ten pin bowling right next to its own restaurant if you want something to do after hours. There is also a pub just across the road if you don't want to drive back to town. If we come back to ski we'll stay there again!

JJon HaseoOverall our stay in Copthrone hotel is amazing! Thank you Copthorne team! You guys are awesome! We got the family deluxe room with lake view - got 2 king beds, stayed for 6 days 5 nights. And it’s spacious! The view is stunning and loving it! There’s a gym and spa pool (need to reserve beforehand) inside the hotel! And there some parking in the hotel, you can park behind suburbs st if the car park is full. The room is warm and I really like the bed, it’s not too soft and give 2 pillows per person. Also there’s laundry service using coins, you also can change it from the reception if you do not have any cash. Toilet is nice, also have great water pressure. It would be great if they can provide utensils and plates. We did some groceries but there’s no equipment to use. Definitely will return to this hotel if I come to Queenstown again.
