It would be very comfortable if you can speak Chinese, Thai, or Lao. The soundproofing of the rooms is not perfect, so perhaps that's why earplugs are included as amenities, which is a unique feature. It's clean and the service is satisfactory. It would have been perfect if the room had a refrigerator and a toilet-shower.
Let's start with the positives: the room was clean and tidy, but also completely overpriced. We had booked 3 nights through Trip.com and were told we'd have to switch rooms after two nights because they were fully booked. We were also told we could cancel the last night if we didn't want to stay. We wanted to check out the hotel first and said we'd get back to them. The odd thing was, we were the only guests. We ended up checking out a night early. We were told to cancel via Trip.com, and of course, a cancellation for the last night was not accepted. We also got the feeling they were glad to see us go. The supposed restaurant wasn't even open, so you have to go into the village. Incidentally, another reviewer was also fed the same story about the supposedly fully booked hotel. The breakfast was sufficient and the service was friendly.
There were two errors in the website description. I think they should fix this for future guests. One is that the hotel's location displayed on Google Maps is incorrect. The map took me to a vacant lot. I had a hard time finding the hotel. The other is that the check-out time is listed as 2 PM, but it's actually 1 PM. This is probably because the hotel primarily uses Chinese time.
Centrally located just across the Luang Namtha night market. Friendly, efficient and professional staff. Breakfast was included in the room price. Breakfast had 4 different options to choose from rather than having to repeat same thing over again. Fresh and tasty food. There’s a restaurant with a lot of options to choose from. From the most of the dishes we tried, we can recommend all of the options specifically Lao food and pad Thai.
Room was spacious, clean. Good air conditioning, ample hot water but the water pressure at the bathroom seriously need improved. Takes so long to have a simple shower. Comfy big bed with comfortable mattress. Nice comforter too. Loved the interior of the room. There was a feeling like we went back in time. Daily housekeeping. Free water bottles, free toothbrush and soap provided. We liked the outside sitting area with a table and 4 chairs.
We stayed at Zuela for 4 nights. We could get the tickets and help to go to Muang Xai from them too. They book bus, van tickets and tuk tuk service. Overall our stay was comfortable. We are happy we visited Luang Namtha and Zuela guesthouse. We recommend them dearly.
The Chinese service is super good, just like the name of the hotel sounds friendly. When I step into a foreign country, their friendly feeling is like the warmth of home. The night is quiet and beautiful. Sitting on the balcony makes me feel comfortable and relaxes me. Especially the room is very clean. And there is no odor, good ventilation, towels and bath towels are very clean. The hotel does not require check-out or check-out, which saves time. I feel very at ease. The room is well equipped and has monitoring to help us manage it. This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in in Boten! China-Laos Friendship Hotel, Southeast Asia Resort Hotel and Highly Recommended, Bangbangbang
The owner is enthusiastic, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the price is very reasonable. There are plenty of places to eat, drink, and play nearby, and you can walk to the Mohan border crossing or take a taxi to the Boten train station.
The hotel was very clean and the owners are very nice. For example, I had mistakenly left some belongings on a bus the previous day and wasn't able to speak very good Lao to explain at the bus station. After I messaged one of the owners of the hotel on WhatsApp, he went out of his way to drive me to the bus station the next morning, explain my situation to them, and help me successfully get my belongings back. Both owners were extremely kind and hospitable, and I would highly recommend this hotel.
The room is spacious, well-planned, and clean and tidy. It is very comfortable to stay in. The bed is soft and supportive, and I slept very soundly. The bathroom is designed with dry and wet separation, which is very practical and kept very clean. The environment is quiet at night, and the sound insulation effect is good, which is suitable for a good rest. The hotel also provides a convenient pick-up service to the port railway station. The person in charge is very enthusiastic, making the overall stay experience more pleasant. Overall, it is a good experience among the nearby hotels.
The room is quite large and overall is OK, especially the wide view. You can see the street, vegetable market, tin houses, etc. downstairs at a glance! The internet speed is also good! There is also a car pick-up, which is good.

TTilong VangI can’t say that it was the best hotel we had ever stayed at but we certainly had a nice stay at the Tulip hotel. At first sight it felt a little be out of place with the play park for the children , the restaurant and bar and the huge house. But then it all works well.
The staff is absolutely fantastic and went out of their way to make our stay as easy and pleasant as they could. Nothing was too much or too complicated.
Loved the lunch /dinner menu in the restaurant, food is local and fresh. Prices are very reasonable.
Free bicycles and scooters are available for rent at 8usd for 1/2 day. So quite good value.
The rooms are very spacious and beds comfortable. TV had Netflix and YouTube if you want to watch TV. Beautiful large windows with an amazing view over the fields and mountains (1st floor).
The bathroom could however have been a little cleaner as there was rust and chipping tiles. The shower get was empty and wasn’t replenished and also the towels have definitely seen better days.
Other than that, it was a brilliant stay, we definitely recommend if you’re planning to visit luang Namtha.
GGuest UserFacilities: in good condition. No malfunctions. Even if I broke the equipment due to my personal reasons, it was repaired on the same day.
Hygiene: very clean
Environment: good sound insulation, no impact on rest.
Service: satisfactory.

GGuest UserThe rooms were good for the price, the only thing that angered me was that I told the service girl twice in the morning in Chinese ” no cleaning, very good”.
She replied ” thanks, no cleaning ” in Chinese.
When I returned in the evening, I found all my personal belongings were moved for cleaning.
I do not like people touching my personal belongings after they have handled garbage and cleaned the toilet.
FFuguangjinAfter a two-week stay in Boten, this was the best hotel I stayed at. It was clean and hygienic, the room was spacious, and most importantly, the view was great. It was very quiet, and of the five or six hotels I stayed at in Boten, this was the most satisfying. The owner was very friendly and even personally picked me up from the station. I'm quite picky, so I always check the sheets and duvet covers in my room first. They were very clean, definitely changed after each guest. I was very satisfied. I was puzzled why such a hotel didn't have a high rating. Later, I asked the owner and learned that they don't ask for positive reviews like other hotels! This was the most satisfying hotel I stayed at in the past two weeks, and I would definitely stay here again next time I'm in Boten.

MM502733****Ok
Good location
But it's noisy at night.
There is also a mobile phone signal that will switch back and forth between Laos and Chinese cards.
WIFI is the best in the Moding Hotel
