Exceptional. Recommended. Worth the price. Room rates with buffet breakfast included good for 2 pax, only in seasky! Friendly boss and staff. So nice. Appreciate every little details as a tourists needed, like dryer in every floor, water dispenser, 24hrs ice cubes in the dinning area for guests, hot water. so peaceful and comfortable bed. Free parking area, not to mention it's very spacious, so if you have a car, a van, or whatever, you can park it here. Internet is good. Fluctuation is the problem in the entire island since last year, but the hotel has a generator, so no need to worry if there's a power interruption. Overall, higly recommend!

Do not ever bother to waste your time or money on staying at a hotel with office staff as rude,arrogant,abusive as the office staff that are employed by GO hotels at this Butuan location, at approximately 1500 hrs or 3 PM Thursday 11 th of August 2022 my Filipino wife attempted to check our family of three into the PWD available rooms that GO hotels advertise, as i myself is a gentleman of 24/7 in a wheelchair, upon approaching the checkin dest at this GO hotel Butuan my wife was immediately attacked verbally by the rude arrogant office staff at this hotel, accusations at my wife of such outstanding completely ridiculous accusations of such things such as ” you are a trouble maker ” you ” are not welcome here ” you ” make complaints about us ” WTH ??? About 3 and a half years ago we did stay at this GO hotel Butuan on a journey to another destination a long time before covid lockdown, these GO hotel staff are racist plus anti PWD people as also i myself am a Reverend minister in a charity o religious organization, finally a Minor office lackey told my now upset stressed angry wife ” you can stay one night but the next night we are fully booked out you must go away ” well this person of low IQ is now playing lord and ruler over my wife and our family, my wife then consulted myself and with the Lords guidance we declaired that if this is the atertude of GO hotel Butuan then they can keep it and bo not need our money, we then proceeded to locate a far better and cheaper that nights hotel, thank you GOHotel Butuan for showing the general public of Philippines what rude,arrogant,racist,anti PWD, sexist staff that are employed by GO hotels at there butuan location, i fully believe GO hotels Butuan should be blacklisted until complete rude arrogant office staff have been preschool in public PR or better still all replaced except for the very helpful doormen, God bless and forgive the GO hotel Butuan office staff for there evilness. In Butuan for vacation since it’s been 5 years. Friendly staff..but when we went, I didn’t realized the swimming pool was under repair so that was a little disappointing . I’ll make sure to call next time.

Everytime I come home, Watergate is my home.❤️ My one call away friend, Kate, deserves a big shoutout because she's always helping me with my bookings. I know there are times that she's not on duty, she always finds way to help me. This is one of the good things I love about watergate, they are willing to go extra mile for their guests!❤️ My current stay here in watergate became extra because they prepared a welcome note for me inside my room. One of my favorite travel stories took place here at the Almont Hotel. First a little description of the setting - the hotel is situated on a typical Spanish style town square with an old colonial Catholic church and a central small park with a bandstand and small kiosk businesses around the square. For the second time I was stranded in Butuan, this time due to a delayed flight from Manila arriving close to midnight causing me to spend the night there before continuing on the next day. Remembering my pleasant previous stay at the Almont, I checked in there a little after midnight into a pleasant second floor room. I had just fallen asleep when I felt someone shaking my bed! I woke up but there was nobody there! Ghosts? No. an earthquake! I had experienced earthquakes before so jumped out of bed grabbed a sheet, wrapped it around myself and headed out of the room and down the stairs and into the street joining the other hotel guests who were similarly wrapped in sheets and bedclothes all excitedly milling about while the ground was still shaking.! Suddenly all the power in Butuan went out and with it all the lights as well! It was a starless, moonless night and the square was pitch black and several screams and louder talking arose when suddenly a bright white cross appeared in the sky! I'm sure that everyone fell to their knees in prayer, certain that the end of the world was at hand and this was the Rapture. We were going to meet our maker! Gradually a few generators came to life - the first being the one in the church which was responsible for lighting the cross at the top of the steeple. We were all saved! And given a second chance to atone for our sins! I hope you enjoyed the story as much as I enjoy retelling it again and again! BTW Butuan as well as much of the Philippines is no stranger to earthquakes with many small tremors every year. But the Almont was completely undamaged and I will feel safe there the next time I stay there!

HOWEVER, they could do much better in terms of staff training, customer service, and breakfast food selections. Accomodation is quite pricey - similar to big brands in Boracay, Mactan and Panglao. So you would expect similar service from hotels in those areas. The staff rarely greet you and arent very attentive. We travel a lot and it's the first time my one year old child is being charged for the breakfast buffet. I thought they were kidding at first. Breakfast choices are very limited and repetitive. Had to ask the front desk to give us child friendly food options since our kids are charged for the buffet per day. Overall would give them a 3 out of 5.

The Grand Palace Hotel was a real let-down, starting with not living up to what they say. They claim to provide tea & coffee in the rooms, but there's no tea. Their web site says they have an airport shuttle, but they don't. Breakfast was disappointing too. Only 2 juices. Luckily one was usually pineapple. As well as the usual lukewarm breakfast items, they had some random cakes that were as bland as cardboard. Fortunately, you can walk through the Annex, cross the road and a few metres to your right is a bakery that sells doughnuts for 6 pesos that are vastly better. The hotel has guards with assault weapons and dogs. Seems pretty ridiculous and unsafe. Also the dogs spend most of their time living in cages alone next to the swimming pool. I had two bookings here, the first in a big king room. (They call it a ”matrimonial” room!) The WiFi mostly didn't work. It's totally inadequate for the number of people who use it, especially if a big business group comes in for a conference during the day. (The DHCP server just runs out of addresses and you can't connect until someone else disconnects.) Even when it connected, it wasn't very fast. One other issue I had was the appearance of cockroaches every so often. The small single room was a vast improvement, as well as being half the price. While the single rooms have no windows, they have two massive advantages. Firstly, fast WiFi that works. The single rooms are in a hall behind the reception area and have their own access point that works brilliantly and isn't overloaded. Secondly, the small room doesn't have so many places for roaches to hide. I didn't see a single insect intruder. It was one of our favorite resort in Butuan City This was our First Resort Escapade for the year 2023 and it was indeed a well spent Staycation at Almont Inland Resort. Room Accomodation : The best area indeed since it is near the Kids Pool and we can enjoy the accomodation while letting the kids enjoy playing with other kids in the pool. Food : We do love thier variety of pizza flavors a must try at this place. This were aside from the sumptuous buffet meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Amenities : The resort's pool is one of the best here in butuan City. You can enjoy it from 7AM up to 9PM and have your foods serve at the cottages near it. One thing I love in this resort is the value of nature. Beautiful sceneries and very lavish green sorroundings that help you calm and forget the busy and noisy scene of the City. We will again visit this place from time to time since we love to bring our family in this resort and get a escape of a busy City Scenario. A great place to Relax and Unwind..

In general, you can stay for several nights. The rooms are a little old, there was a power outage, without air conditioning it is very difficult... It's a bit far from the surf spot, just drive. We checked in a little early, thank you!

We stayed in a private room at Casavia Siargao and had a great experience overall. The room was spacious, with a comfy bed and pillows that ensured restful nights. The hostel staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, adding to the positive vibe of the place. The hostel offers some great spaces for chilling out and socializing, which we appreciated after long days of exploring. During our stay, the island was experiencing a three-week-long power cut. Thankfully, the hostel had a generator and used it on a schedule, which helped make the situation manageable. There’s a construction site adjacent to the hostel, but it didn’t really affect us since we were out during the day, and work had usually finished by the time we returned. Overall, Casavia Siargao provided a comfortable and enjoyable stay, even under challenging circumstances. We’d recommend it to anyone visiting the island and looking for a friendly and relaxed place to stay.

Very good value for money! We stayed in a very tidy room with an ensuite bathroom that has a hot shower and very good water pressure. Wifi is strong, too, and there's a shared kitchen for all the guests to use. Another thing we loved is that they're eco-conscious, so they practice and promote recycling. The owner, Raymund, was also a gem, very warm, welcoming, and helpful. Would love to stay here again if we're ever back in Siargao! 💖

Stayed for 2 nights. The staff was pretty helpful. The rooms were adequate. The amenities is sufficient but could improve otherwise. Biggest drawback was it's location. The hotel is pretty far from the city centre. Just prepare to have your lunch in and dinn at the hotel as some delivery doesn't go all the way from the city to the hotel address. The pool was well maintained. The beach front is all murky and muddy. The shoreline was limited and was more rocky than sandy. They had a dinner entertainment the night we checked in but the singer informed us that it was more of a weekend gig. The sheets weren't changed on the 2nd night of our stay. The room was very spacious which was a plus. You would have to book premium rooms to get the sealine view otherwise you'll be stuck with a dead end wall. The room was spacious enough to fit 2 queen beds but the booking would only allow 2 persons when it could fit 4. You would have to pay extra for the ”extra bed”. It's strongest suit would probably be it's staff and it's worst is it's location. Also I think they should have a service that can transport guests from almont butuan to surigao. I would have paid extra for that.

We arrived at 11pm from lipata port, so were no longer picky on which inn we would stay except for one requirement that it should have a heater on the bathroom. And so we choose to stay in this inn since the former two inns we visited has no heater. We stayed at rm 105. As we got in, the room smells like a stinky feet and as we used the heater it didnt work properly and the water has a rusty smell. So it seems that i didnt took a bath after all. I alredy told the staff. Hope they will fix this problem

This is our second time in Ocean 101. We enjoyed our stay here for the following reasons: Location- beautiful location and perfect for those who love to surf as it’s just few minutes walk to Cloud 9, Jocking Horse, Tahiti and Quick Silver. We have a room facing the ocean and it’s easier for us to check the surf. You can both witness the beautiful sunrise and sunset here. They also have the restaurant which makes it so convenient especially if you have family. Rooms- we chose the ocean room for so many reasons but the other rooms are nice, too. They also have villas for big groups or families. Clean and big enough for our family. Housekeeping staff can make up your room anytime you need some tidying up. Price is very reasonable considering it’s location. Staff-the staff are very friendly and helpful. We always reward them with some gratuity for their service. Restaurant and Food- the food has improved a lot since the first time we have been here. It’s fresh, well presented and our taste buds appoved it. I’m a good cook so I can commend the current chef/s for their effort. Others: We love hanging out in the garden, restaurant or their patio area. Beautiful space they have here. You don’t need to stay in your room as they have beautiful outdoors. You can enjoy some drinks when the sun is about to set. Overall, I recommend this resort.

Walking distance going to SM and gaisano, new hotel, clean and nice staff and good free breakfast

It’s a great place to stay.... Staff were friendly caring and pleasant, starting from the reception. Meals are very good and delicious... Rooms are warm while outside is very cool. Well maintained hospital. I highly recommend the hotel for locals and foreigners. I would probably choose Orient hotel next time as I have experience warm welcomes of the staff, excellent service and pleasantness of hotel crew.

Food : We do love thier variety of pizza flavors a must try at this place. This were aside from the sumptuous buffet meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Amenities : The resort's pool is one of the best here in butuan City. You can enjoy it from 7AM up to 9PM and have your foods serve at the cottages near it. One thing I love in this resort is the value of nature. Beautiful sceneries and very lavish green sorroundings that help you calm and forget the busy and noisy scene of the City. We will again visit this place from time to time since we love to bring our family in this resort and get a escape of a busy City Scenario. A great place to Relax and Unwind..

It’s a great place to stay.... Staff were friendly caring and pleasant, starting from the reception. Meals are very good and delicious... Rooms are warm while outside is very cool. Well maintained hospital. I highly recommend the hotel for locals and foreigners. I would probably choose Orient hotel next time as I have experience warm welcomes of the staff, excellent service and pleasantness of hotel crew.

an affordable quaint hotel room where you can park your vehicle infront of your hotel room. their rooms are modern with all amenities. the aircon is very cold and tv has cable. the staff are very friendly. we checked in twice here. first when we were on our way to surigao and 2nd on our way back from surigao going back to manila. their restaurants serves delicious food at affordable prices and is good for sharing. must try their bulalo stew. free breakfast if you are checked in and you can eat at their nice clean restaurant. would recommend this hotel if you need to stay for the night in butuan city
