The hotel is very close to Kyoto Station, but it can be a bit noisy with trains passing by constantly, so you'll need earplugs to sleep. The room is quite spacious and even has a long sofa. Two large suitcases can be opened up to organize things. Both check-in and check-out are self-service, which is perfect for introverts and those checking in late at night. When checking out, I was guided by a staff member to download the official app and even received a thermos bottle as a gift, which was a pleasant surprise!

Located on a main road in Kyoto, this hotel is super close to Nishiki Market and Kamo River, making it incredibly convenient for shopping and sightseeing. The front desk is on the second floor, and the breakfast on the first floor offers a wide variety of food. The hotel facilities are excellent, and the service is warm and friendly. Overall, it was a great experience, highly recommended!

Nice, calm and compact hotel situated in a neighborhood (no traffic sounds). Very comfortable beds 🛌, I had a great sleep. Friendly staff. Unfortunately the hotel doesn’t offer anything except of the most basic necessities (amenities), but for sleeping over it is good enough. Walkable distance to the imperial palace park, walkable to the centre, very good location. The room(s) could use deeper cleaning of the dust in the rooms (see pictures).

The location is decent. The hotel service is pretty good, though it can get a bit noisy at night. The nearby subway makes it convenient to get anywhere. There isn't much to eat right around the corner; you have to walk a bit further, perhaps to the 4th street area, to find good food. Overall, it's a good place. It was really expensive during autumn leaf season, but the beautiful fall foliage made up for it. I'd come back again if I get the chance.

We stayed here for 2 nights. It is a refurbished 1 bedroom apartment with a washing machine. Located close to a subway station in Kyoto, there are many restaurants and convenience stalls around. The front desk is only open up to 7pm (or earlier), so if you are checking in later, do contact the establishment before hand. The rooms have modern locks that opens upon entering code. The rooms are comfortable enough for my wife and I, but it may be a squeeze beyond 2.

The hotel is conveniently located very close to Kyoto Station, and they even offer a thoughtful shuttle service to and from the station. The facilities are excellent, with a grand and opulent lobby, and the front desk staff provide smiling service, including Chinese-speaking staff, which was a very warm and welcome touch. The rooms are well-equipped, comfortable, spacious, and bright. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. There are shopping malls and supermarkets nearby, making it easy to get around and find plenty of shopping and dining options. The autumn leaves are beautiful right now, and Ctrip offered a great price.

I highly recommend this hotel chain; they have many branches in Kyoto, all with excellent locations. On my first night, I stayed across from Kyoto Station, and that hotel was over 200 yen more expensive but very average. Actually, there's a branch of this chain near Kyoto Station too. The location of the one I booked is superb. It's just a few hundred meters walk to Daimaru and Takashimaya department stores, Arc'teryx is right around the corner, and it's not far to the Kamo River, next to Kyoto's busiest shopping street. You can hear traffic at night, but it didn't affect my sleep. The room was quite spacious, I think I got an upgrade, and there was no problem opening two suitcases. Important note: This hotel provides water! No need to buy your own! The front desk offers facial cleanser, face cream, and other amenities, all with lovely scents, and there was even hair essential oil with a gentle fragrance – I regret only taking one. The whole hotel had a wonderful Christmas atmosphere. Next time I'm in Kyoto, I'll definitely book here again!

The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast here was fantastic, with a great variety and delicious food, especially the late-night soy sauce – it was amazing! The hot springs were absolutely top-notch, with large pools and several different ones to choose from. The hotel's location is excellent and convenient for transportation. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip.

Traveling solo, the room was spacious enough! I stayed for three nights during the tail end of maple season for just over 800 (yen/currency unspecified, assuming local currency based on context), and it even included two meals! Both meals were palatable, and I especially loved the vegetables with vinaigrette. Japanese vegetables are expensive, but here they were unlimited, which was fantastic! Eating a meal before heading out in the morning, and then coming back to the hotel tired from exploring just in time for dinner – it was perfect! It's not far from Kyoto Station, and I enjoy walking, so strolling along and admiring the plants and architecture on both sides of the street was quite interesting. There's a beautiful row of ginkgo trees along the road in front of the hotel.

Read the check-in time carefully. This is a special type of hotel, if you need a full day you will have to pay extra. Nice spacious room, huge TV, music, nice bathroom. The number of free household items was impressive. Excellent budget option.

XXingfudeyanyanI was extremely satisfied with my stay this time. The room was prepared exactly as I requested, which I really appreciated. My room included executive lounge access, offering snacks, drinks, coffee, tea, and alcohol – a great place to sit and relax. The room facilities were meticulously maintained, and all appliances were quiet. My only minor complaint was the hairdryer, which was a bit old-fashioned and took a long time to dry my hair. The hotel staff, including the front desk and shuttle service, were exceptionally professional, very considerate, and provided excellent, personalized service. The shuttle bus stop at Kyoto Station is located behind the station, near the Hachijo East Exit, in the area where taxis and buses pick up passengers. It runs conveniently from 8 AM to 8:30 PM. You can see the exact location in my last two photos.

DDreamscomeTrueVery nice ambience and a new luxurious hotel in Kyoto close to the 清水寺。 Restaurant choices are quite limited inside the hotel complex but they have got a great spa with excellent service staff. Down the hill should be some international restaurants at Park Hyatt Kyoto another luxurious five star hotel. Breakfast bento boxes not too appetising and not much food selections for in room dining as well. But the neighbourhood was quiet and nice.

RReneehuangHighly Recommended Stay in Kyoto I would like to strongly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Kyoto. The staff demonstrate exceptional professionalism and hospitality. In particular, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Miss Yuki, who assisted us with our check-in and kindly introduced many wonderful sightseeing spots and activities in Kyoto, as well as to Miss Tsai, a ********* staff member who supported us during check-out with great warmth and care. Their thoughtful service truly reflects the welcoming spirit of Kyoto and the hotel’s commitment to excellence. I am genuinely impressed by the quality of the team members who bring guests happiness and satisfaction through their dedication. They truly deserve recognition and applause for their outstanding service. Our two-night stay was far too short, and we are already looking forward to returning in the near future.

11350183****The hotel is incredibly close to Kyoto Station, with Exit 5 offering the most convenient access. The room was very quiet and cleaned daily. While disposable toiletries are not provided, there are plenty of USB charging ports. It's also very near Isetan and Yodobashi Camera. Getting to the airport, though it involves passing through Kyoto Station, is also very convenient.

KKuailedexiaoyaojingwxgThe location is the biggest advantage, right inside the JR train station. Kyoto Theater is downstairs from the hotel. Across the street is Isetan, and downstairs is the Porta shopping mall, which has countless dining options. In front of the station, there are taxi and bus stops. Behind the station are various long-distance bus terminals and hotel shuttle stops, as well as the airport shuttle station. The entire commercial area is well-designed, and the hotel is perfectly situated within it. The room size is generous, allowing 2-3 large suitcases to be laid flat. The bathroom features a wet/dry separation, and the toilet has its own private space. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit.

FFCBarcaxiaomaiziThe hotel is just one stop away from Kyoto JR Station; you step right out into it. There's also a bus stop right outside the entrance. It's very convenient for visiting attractions in Kyoto city. The whole place feels very new and modern. You're required to take off your shoes upon entering the hotel, and walking barefoot throughout the entire premises takes a bit of getting used to. They offer complimentary late-night noodles starting at 9:30 PM daily. In the mornings, there's unlimited Yakult, and in the evenings, free-flow ice pops. Both indoor and outdoor onsen (hot springs) are available. However, since Kyoto likely doesn't have volcanoes, the overall quality of the hot springs can't quite compare to similar hotels in areas like Hakone. P.S. This hotel belongs to the same management group as Mizunone, where I stayed in Hakone last year.

GGuest UserOnline hotel bookings can often feel like a blind box draw, but Dusit Thani was definitely the right pick. Every staff member I encountered had an excellent attitude, the room was spotless, and even though the turndown service only provided a bottle of water, it was a pleasant and thoughtful touch. Thai brands truly excel in their service consciousness and aesthetic sense. The room itself was incredibly comfortable, and with no other guests in the public lobby areas, I thoroughly enjoyed the bliss of reading a book alone.

FfongThe rooms are decent. There's a communal bath, which is kind of like a hot spring, though the water is just regular tap water – it was clean and hygienic. On the second floor, there's a ping-pong table, an all-you-can-drink bar, and a small kids' play area. It feels like a friendly little community. The staff are all polite and attentive. There's an aquarium very close by, and the hotel has a back entrance for direct access. We didn't realize this until we walked all the way around in the rain! There's a surface parking lot if you drive, costing 2500 yen per day for unlimited use, but the small road leading in can be a bit tricky to find.
