The hotel itself is not bad - beds are comfortable and large, and the dinner is okay, but nothing too special. This hotel overwhelmingly caters to families, which is evident when staying there: there are many children, and a lot of the amenities cater to them as well. For example the sauna is not very hot and there’s a lot of candies in the free snack bar. I wish the hotel was better at communicating / marketing this on their website, as I’m not the intended audience and it’s very expensive for a mediocre experience. As well, the breakfast timing is questionable - only available from 7am - 8:30am, along with a 10am checkout time this is quite an early start and not very relaxing.

This hotel is such incredible value for money! I booked a group deal through Ctrip, and it was practically the cheapest hotel in Hakone Gora, including breakfast, for less than 1000 yuan. I was expecting a very basic place, but everything exceeded my expectations. The entire hotel is quite large and has its own grand public bath, plus you can use the two public baths next door for free. The hotel was fully booked, so my room got upgraded. It was bigger than the one I originally reserved, and the garden view from the room was stunning. The room decor was very modern, and the breakfast buffet was rich and varied. Of course, you can't compare it to hotels costing 2,000 or 3,000 yuan with private onsen, but for just over 900 yuan, this place is more than good enough. See the pictures!

The room was absolutely tiny, maybe only 3 square meters. There wasn't even enough space to properly open my luggage. This has to be the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in – I was truly taken aback by how incredibly compact it was. To make matters worse, it was located in the basement, which made it feel stuffy and humid. While the air conditioning offered a bit of relief, it certainly didn't make the room comfortable.

The hotel is quite large, but you can't cook. The balcony is angled, and it's an old hotel with a nostalgic feel. Breakfast is a bit expensive at 200 RMB, with limited variety, but the taste is good and very filling. There's a shuttle bus for 1000 JPY per person, which you can arrange at the front desk or ask the staff at the airport customer service center to help you buy tickets for. It seems the route will change soon, and the price will also increase. Information flow between staff members isn't always smooth, so inquiries might not always be accurate; you need to verify. You can simply scan a QR code on your phone to order. It's very convenient for airport transfers, and they help with luggage. However, you need to give the driver your ticket when boarding. The hotel's second floor has direct access to Queen's Square, which is very convenient. They provide toothpaste, toothbrushes, and brushes, so you don't need to bring your own. There's a bathtub with a view, but you need to explore these amenities yourself as Japanese service isn't proactively helpful. Also, efficiency in Japan can be a bit slow, and they're very particular, so there's no need to arrive too early; they'll make you wait even if you do!

First off, the room was incredibly clean! Housekeeping did a thorough job every day. The front desk staff were warm and patient, and the facilities were very new and well-maintained. Secondly, the hotel's location is excellent! It's just a few minutes' walk from Yamashita Park and Chinatown, and the Hikawa Maru is also nearby. Yokohama Station and the Red Brick Warehouse are also very close. Shopping nearby is super convenient! There's a 7-Eleven and a Lawson right downstairs. If you walk towards Chinatown a bit, there's a supermarket. It's also close to Yokohama Station's commercial center, making shopping very easy.

The room was spacious enough for two 24-inch suitcases to open comfortably. On clear mornings, you could even see Mount Fuji from the window, which was a nice bonus! It's super convenient for exploring the surrounding areas from Yokohama – easy access to Tokyo, Haneda Airport, Hakone, and Kamakura. Perfect for an extended stay if you're doing day trips. There's a supermarket downstairs that's open until 11 PM with great prices; a box of Haagen-Dazs was only ten yuan, so I ended up eating it every night! The only minor inconvenience was getting water in the room; you had to go to the hallway to refill, which I guess might be due to Kanagawa's environmental policies, as Tokyo doesn't seem to have this setup.

The location is a bit remote. If you take the tram, you need to walk quite far. It is close to the bus station. There is a small safe at the head of the bed. The bed is a wooden capsule with a wood smell. The public area is good. There is a self-service kitchen with complete tableware and many small appliances. You can make your own coffee, tea and other beverages. There is a public large refrigerator and a small open-air hot spring. The overall cost performance is high

Service: Overall very good, just a small suggestion: some of the breakfast restaurant staff moved around too frequently while clearing dishes, and the noise from them walking past was a bit disruptive to the dining experience. Environment: The location is excellent, it's one of Yokohama's landmark buildings. Truly beautiful, with perfect design inside and out. Cleanliness: Very thorough, spotless inside and out! Facilities: The most beautiful harbor views are fully visible – that alone deserves full marks! There are also plenty of parking spaces, making it very convenient for coming and going! Next time I visit Yokohama, I will definitely stay at the InterContinental Yokohama again!

The staff was very friendly and the amenities included use of the onsen for one hour was great as it was included within the price. The room was clean peaceful and had a nice Japanese vibe. Unfortunately, the room is not en suite. I would say the location wasn’t great as you should note it isn’t actually in the main area of Hakone but rather by the lake where you take the boat ride. You also have to walk up a hill to get there.

Beautiful. Service was excellent, I loved the ice cream bar vending machine at the lobby area. Worth the cost, and when I plan my next visit in Japan, Ten Yu will be on my list. Don’t know what the kaiseki is like, but I definitely recommend the buffet breakfast & dinner. Otherwise I have no idea where you would go for dinner conveniently in Hakone.

GGuest UserI spent a wonderful night here during New Year's Eve. The waiter barely understands people and foreign languages, but he is friendly and good at communication. I booked a public bathroom first, but then I changed it to a private bath when there was room. My satisfaction improved a lot! The hotel is very close to Hakoyō-Yumoto Station, and the taxi cost was less than 1,000 yen. Later, we couldn't get a taxi and it was very comfortable for us to walk to the station for 15 minutes with our children🏳️🌈

AAnonymous UserWe booked a hot spring hotel on short notice and were very satisfied with it. We arrived early and could not check in until after 3:30 pm, but fortunately we could leave our luggage at the hotel. The staff helped us make the bed when we were having dinner in the evening. There was a rich variety of dinner, but we didn’t really like the side dishes. It would have been better if the side dishes were replaced with sashimi. We even had a surprise dessert after the meal, which made us very happy. The breakfast the next day was also very filling and delicious. The experience is very good and recommended for staying.

GGuest UserI had a wonderful stay at Rakuten Stay Fujimi Terrace! The day before check-in, I received an email with the entrance code, which made the whole process very smooth. The room was exactly as described on the website—with large windows offering an incredible view of Mt. Fuji, the torii gate, and the lake. The scenery alone made it more than worth it. We had eight people staying in two 4-person rooms located on the third floor. One of the rooms was slightly larger and had extra bedding stored in the closet—enough to comfortably sleep two additional people. There were two bathrooms and two toilets in total, which was perfect for a group or family. The main bathroom included a sauna, hot spring-style bath, shower area, double sinks, a washing machine, and a water dispenser. The second bathroom had a separate shower area and a single sink. Both toilets were separated spaces from bathrooms with high-tech with bidet functions and small sinks. The large dining table and spacious sofa area easily seated all of us. We spent many relaxing moments on the balcony, soaking our feet in the warm onsen foot bath, chatting, and admiring the stunning view. The kitchen was fully equipped with a dishwasher, detergent, a large fridge stocked with complimentary drinks, a capsule coffee machine, and a Japanese rice cooker that made delicious rice. The beds were on the firmer side but still soft and very comfortable. It was just a 3-minute walk along the lake to the 7-Eleven, accessible by elevator from the building. The nearby pier was where we boarded the pirate ship cruise, and about 13 minutes further along the lake was the Peace Torii—a fantastic photo spot. Don’t forget to grasp some delicious bread at “bakery and table” before boarding to the ship. After check-out, we stored our luggage in the lockers at Motohakone Port, took the pirate ship to Togendai, transferred to the ropeway to Sounzan, and visited Gora and Kowakudani before taking the mountain bus back to Motohakone to pick up our luggages. There are 4 lockers for suitcase up to 32 inches ¥700, 12 lockers for 24 inches ¥600, and 10 lockers for smaller size of bags ¥400. From there, we had a pre-arranged shuttle take us back to Tokyo. The whole route was smooth and well-organized—perfect for a larger group traveling without a car. Overall, I highly recommend Rakuten Stay!

MM1424****Cleanliness: I wish there was a trash can in the bathroom. Environment: Overall very clean, similar style to Atour and Ji Hotel, and the view is decent. Service: Quite good, they greet you when you come in and out. Location is great, in an office building, but it was really hard to find the first time. I couldn't find the entrance from Tokyu below, and had to ask around a lot. However, it was super convenient afterward. There are also a few Chinese restaurants downstairs, and you can hear a lot of people speaking Chinese working in the building. It's more suitable for sleeping than a vacation feel (compared to Tokyu). The sofa in the room is quite comfortable, and the bed's firmness is good too.

JJinRongThe hotel's location is excellent! 👍 Using the Hakone Free Pass, we took the Odakyu Line for free to Machida Station, then used our Suica card to transfer to the JH and TY lines to Shin-Takashima Station. From there, it was just a short walk across one intersection to the hotel. It's in the same building as KT, so it was easy to find. We checked in at the front desk on the 9th floor. The room wasn't very big, a rectangular shape, but we managed to fit one suitcase by the door and another on the desk by the window. After dropping off our luggage, we took a fifteen-minute stroll to Yokohama Station for some ramen 🍜 and to browse the drugstores. I was surprised by how lively Yokohama Station was at night. The next morning, we had a very hearty breakfast (seafood rice was my favorite – definitely a highlight!). We then took the train to Kamakura and Enoshima. On the way back, we got off at Ishikawacho Station from Kamakura-koko-mae Station and had some delicious Shokusai Wagyu, then braved the rain to explore Chinatown. On the third morning, the weather was beautiful, so we decided to walk ten minutes to Yokohama Landmark Tower and Minato Mirai 21 to check them out 🎊. We got back at 8:45, just in time to enjoy a delicious breakfast. Check-out was at 10:00, and the elevators were at their busiest then, so expect to queue. You can help yourself to skincare products and other amenities at the front desk. Apart from not providing bottled water, everything else was perfect.

JJinRongThe hotel's location is excellent!👍 Coming from Tokyo, we took the Odakyu Line OH01 (starting station) from Shinjuku West Exit to Odawara Station OH47. From there, we just walked across the platform to transfer to the Hakone Tozan Railway to Hakone-Yumoto Station OH51. After exiting the station, we crossed the pedestrian bridge, took the elevator down to the river, and walked across the red bridge, and there was the hotel. The path is very flat, perfect for those traveling with luggage. Since we only booked our Hakone stay two days in advance, there were no connecting rooms available. We stayed in a standard room the first night and then moved to a Japanese-style room the second day, which had a great view. The hotel breakfast included natto, and the rest was pretty standard. If you go early, it's less crowded, but after 8 AM, you'll likely have to queue for a table. You can also take a public bus from the hotel to Togendai or Gotemba, but buses are less frequent after 9:30 AM, so it's advisable to leave early. All in all, while the hotel was a bit pricey, its convenient location and multiple transportation options made it worthwhile.

MM253742****I booked a lake-view room, but at first, the front desk gave me a garden-view room with only a tiny glimpse of the lake on the left. After some discussion, they finally switched my room. Later, after my bath, I noticed that several rooms with better views were just getting occupied, so it really shows you have to advocate for yourself. After the room change, the scenery was fantastic, directly facing Mount Fuji, absolutely stunning. The breakfast selection was also rich. The only downside is that transportation is a bit inconvenient; there aren't many shuttle buses, and public transport services are limited.

GGuest UserComfortable amount of space for Japanese hotel - was quite easy for us to manage with 2 suitcases and carry ons. Beds comfortable - pyjamas and slippers were provided. Very clean. Private bathroom with excellent hot water and pressure. Air-conditioning and free WiFi works well. Building and amenities lovely. They have coin laundry with microwaves, smoking area, and public bath available to use. Didn't get to use the public baths as we arrived overnight and were leaving early. Nice view over the water of city lights at night. Front desk staff friendly and helpful with decent English skills. Was easily able to check in with them after arriving at the hotel around 1am-ish. Shuttle bus to/from airport and major train/transit station (Kawasaki station). Very close to the airport, easy/cheap to get a taxi to the hotel from the airport if you arrive after the shuttle stops running. Buffet breakfast is very worth it, one of the 2 best hotel breakfast buffets we had on the trip - good variety of foods and desserts, all delicious. Especially loved the sliced steak, scrambled eggs and mochi/dango desserts with a sweet sauce. Would stay again!

TthesoleconceptFirst time in Japan, so I chose this hotel based on location and price, with my desire for higher floor rooms for a view. I stayed near Shinagawa station, and also in Osaka, all with the same budget per night. This hotel was the best of the 3, very nice facilities and amenities (7/11 in the lobby!!), with a spacious room. I'd probably pass on the buffet breakfast next time, but that's just me, there was a wide selection for everyone. I would definitely stay here again if I'm in that area.
