We arrived early and our room was ready.
The spa facilities were adequate. Only comment is some update needed to the rock effect around the pool.
The food in the Clarets jug was fine. Dessert bit disappointing.
The staff very friendly and Neville not sure his title but was a perfect gentleman. He transported our luggage to and from our bedroom with no effort. Neville was very polite and friendly. Hope to see him next time we visit.
The room was clean and spacious unlike other cheap rooms. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast amazing and super delicious..
Overall it will kill (win your heart)❤️
Hotel location is very good, convenient to visit the Great Wall of Hadrian, visit the surrounding countryside, there is a small river flowing next to it, the scenery is very beautiful; the hotel is a bit old, but the maintenance is OK, the bathroom seems to have been renovated; the parking lot has sufficient parking spaces; Breakfast is good, but dinner is not all inclusive, it is your own order, within 25 pounds, more or less, less, this is a bit unaccustomed.
What a lovely place, in a beautiful location. Very friendly owners and we were made to feel very welcome. Our room was beautiful and very clean with all amenities needed. Breakfast was absolutely delicious.
You are allowed to order or bring food and use the dining area for your evening meal.
There a lounge room that we had all to ourselves which was so relaxing.
Overall 10/10 and I would love to stay again and I definitely recommend this B&B.
The cottages looked amazing also.

We stayed last week for 3 nights - bed breakfast and evening meal. We had a sea view room with balcony. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, polite & welcoming. The food was top quality - highlights were the hot, freshly cooked buffet breakfast, big fresh croissants and one of the best currys we've ever had (chicken narpiaza). The room was modern, well furnished, clean and very warm (appreciated considering it was freezing outside). The shower temperature could be a bit variable but the power was good. We sometimes got in the pub carpark, sometimes had to use the public one, but at just over a fiver for 24 hours and being just across the road, it wasn't a concern. Highly recommended.

GGuest UserNice hotel, good public areas, good breakfast and attentive staff on duty in the breakfast room . Enjoyed the spa, nice and quiet for a swim. Only gripe was the initial room on the ground floor which didn’t smell fresh abs the upholstered chairs were dirty , and the bathroom was shabby. Pleased to say we were re allocated to the first floor which was better apart from the bathroom which was also shabby. Bathrooms need rerouting, new silicon and new bath panel and door repaint . Will return but hope some money will be spent on refurbishment .

ZZhangsanfengdesanfengVery close to the highway, just turn down. Stop by and the hotel is very comfortable overall. Many locals go to the lobby bar to drink and chat at night. Very clean, the room is large and very comfortable. The dinner is delicious, and the English breakfast is average. I came from China, so I can only say it's average. If you are tired from the journey, it is very pleasant to take a rest here.
JJennifer BohnhoffThe Bowes Motel is a charming old inn in Barton Mill, and the staff makes you feel like family. They modified the bedding to make us more comfortable, were willing to make substitutions on the menus, packed us lunches and offered us lifts to places we needed to go. Dinner there was superb. The place has character and the people were wonderfully helpful and accommodating
AAnthony WroeWe have stayed here on a number of occasions and really like the hotel. Good parking and a sizeable bedroom.
If I had any complaints, it would be that the mattress is rock solid, and we didn't sleep well at all.
I believe the hotel has been sold and a renovation is in the near future...
We'll see what the prices do...🙈
Nnigel ashleyLovely pub style hotel in glorious surroundings. Food is excellent. The rooms are rather small but functional. By the way, if both of you are over 80 kgs, I suggest two beds. As this is Northumberland, you will find the drying room a great find. The brewery bar is really good. Enjoy the Hadrian Wall close by.
LLanThe seats are very good, very close to the castle, also in the city center, very close to the Morrison supermarket. There is a free parking lot, just turn left for two consecutive times, see the hotel name written on the white sign on the left, and then turn left. The aunt at the front desk has taught in China and also has grandsons of mixed Chinese and English, so I see Chinese people are particularly enthusiastic, the hotel restaurant is great, breakfast is a combination of buffet and order, which is relatively high-end. But the room is a bit old.
