Liked · This was such a lovely hotel, we really enjoyed our stay here. The room was spacious, the beds were comfortable, the window shutters blocked out noise and light and meant a good night's sleep. The pool is enormous, plenty of sun lounges available. Quite a few places nearby to have a drink or food, plus a big Carrefour behind the hotel. Plenty of free parking available just outside or nearby. It is a way out of the main tourist attractions, so it will take about 20-25mins to walk to the Alcazaba. Disliked · Would have liked to have a fridge to keep some cold drinks

Esta incluía 2 noches de hotel y 2 desayunos o en su defecto Una noche en habitación superior, desayuno buffet y cena o experiencia según hotel. Nosotros elegimos la opción 1 noche en habitación Superior, cena degustación y desayuno buffet en el hotel Acosta Centro de Almendralejo. Si vas en régimen de alojamiento estándar y media pensión es correcto el servicio, pero como se te ocurra reservar con La vida es Bella en lugar de lo contratado recibirás lo básico. En lugar de habitación Superior, te darán una estándar alegando que ellos no disponen de ese tipo de habitación solo estándar y suite! Vamos, que te quedas con la estándar!! En lugar de cena degustación, os servirán un Menú cerrado muy rico eso sí, compuesto de entrantes, ensalada, plato principal, postre y botella de vino (esa si, degustación ya que era buen vino de la zona) Y en lugar de desayuno Buffet disfrutareis de un desayuno continental cerrado compuesto de plato de fruta, jamón serrano y york, tostadas de pan, acompañadas de tarrinas de iberitos, tomate y mantequilla, café y zumo y cuando pidáis algo de bollería de chocolate os ofrecerán unos sobaos que es lo único de bollería que entra en el desayuno. Muy fuerte!!!! Como digo, todo muy correcto en calidad si contratas una habitación Standar a media pensión. Pero si les reclamas te indican que es lo que tienen contratado con La vida es bella aunque les facilites la reserva donde indican los servicios contratados con esta. El hotel Muy Cutre a la hora de atender la reclamación de un cliente que saben que tiene razón.

Really basic hotel, nothing fancy. It could be a good option if you want something inexpensive. We paid 70€/night for 2 people with breakfast included. It has a free car park which is good and you could walk to the center if you're used to walking. It takes about 15 minutes. If you're looking for nice and comfortable accommodation, keep on looking.

Booked one night on our way from Portugal to Santander. Great value for this super hotel. Location was perfect, near the river on the main city centre side, just a few minutes walk from the centre with nearby shopping and bars and restaurants. Our room was an upgrade to a larger room with a balcony and view over the park, and well worth it. The room was spotlessly clean, modern and spacious, with a kettle for tea and coffee, a very useful mini bar fridge and a super bathroom with a great shower. We used the on-line check in option to upload our ID docs, so our check in at arrival was quick and easy. Reception staff were very friendly and courteous, confirming that the parking on the street nearby was perfectly safe in this quiet area of town. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel.

Very comfortable and clean room. The cafeteria is very nice and they have a terrace with a great barbecue. Surrounded by places to eat and close to the Roman theater.

Staying at the hotel is a surprise on the road. Originally because I was driving by car, I stayed in Trusillo for one night at night. I didn't expect the town to be quaint. The hotel is located next to the Plaza Mayor in the center of the town. It is very convenient to eat and sightseeing. The decor of the hotel is also ancient, like a castle. The special point is that the breakfast at the hotel is great. Because of this hotel, I may come to this place in the future.

Me parece un hotel recomendable en cuanto a instalaciones y servicios. La habitación muy amplia, con diferenciación de espacios, lo que permite poder utilizar los espacios sin molestar al resto de personas que ocupan la habitación. Botella de agua de bienvenida. Habitación muy limpia e insonorizada. Desayuno bufete muy variado, con bollería tostadas, frutas, embutido, zumo.... Me ha parecido un poco caro, porque una cosa es que sea 5 estrellas y otra muy distinta que la noche sea a 225 euros. Entiendo que el fin de semana los hoteles de esa zona de Badajoz estaban llenos, pero el precio es desorbitado

El hotel está situado a unos metros de la Puerta de Talavera que te da acceso directo a la Plaza Mayor y desde allí poderse mover para visitar la ciudad. Esta situación privilegiada tiene algún pequeño inconveniente que se soluciona con el correo previo que te envían dándote indicaciones de donde realizar la descarga del equipaje y dónde aparcar (ambos justo enfrente del hotel). Mi recomendación es que si tienes contratado el aparcamiento, por cierto, no muy ancho en sus plazas y con accesos de complicación media, vayas directamente a él y subas las maletas (pregunta antes por el acceso de los distintos ascensores). Si no, en el GPS sitúa la zona de descarga para evitar dar alguna vuelta de más por sus calles. El hotel es en general antiguo... y en particular, también. Escalera con moqueta en todos los tramos, decoración e instalaciones ad hoc. La habitación que tenía, muy amplia, estaba, en mi opinión, desaprovechada. Al cuarto de baño se le nota el uso y van cambiando los elementos según necesidad. Estrechito el mío, porque para sentarte en la taza tienes que estar en diagonal si mides más de 170 cm. Terrazón desaprovechado pero agradable para estar por la noche tomando el fresco (el mobiliario de la terraza escaso y en regular estado). Cama muy cómoda a mi parecer. La atención del personal, tanto de recepción como de cafetería, muy buena y son muy amables. Solo hay disponible desayuno, que es correcto, de todo un poco (hay de todo, pero poco).

We really liked this hotel, the room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was well equipped. Nice size pool with plenty of sun lounges. Location was good, it was an easy walk to Plaza Mayor with lots of cafes and restaurants to choose from, as well as accessing the towns main attractions. We had a car and managed to find street parking just opposite, they do have a loading zone at the front if you want to drop off your bags and then drive and find parking (if nothing in the street near the hotel, try the streets near Leclerc Supermarket)

We chose this hotel for its location and the private parking. We reserved 2 nights, but only stayed one. We arrived in the afternoon and noticed that the room was full of dust. The door handles were rusted. The small fridge was still dirty inside. This shows that they are not even cleaning it. The sheets were very thin and worn out. Both sheets and comforter were so worn out that they had a light gray color. The bathroom was in need of a good deep cleaning. A lot of dust and scratched areas. We cleaned some areas and all handles with some hand sanitizing wipes that we had brought and removed as much of the dust as possible. At that time, it was too late to find another hotel in the area, so we decided to enjoy Caceres and leave the next day. We checked on hotel.com and were able to add a night to the next hotel on our trip. We did not even unpack. We enjoyed Caceres the entire day and stayed out until late at night. The next day we left early to enjoy more of Caceres. At 2:00pm, after we had lunch, we returned to the hotel to check out. We didn’t want to waste our time giving details to the front desk person, we just wanted to leave. There was nothing this hotel was going to do to keep us there another night. It was not just the dirty room, the overall feel of the hotel just wasn’t right for us. This hotel has a lot of people coming in and out, which explains the wear and tear of the place, but not the dirty conditions. She was very apologetic that we wanted to leave, even though we didn’t complain we just said we wanted to leave, and said that she was going to call hotels.com to see if they could refund that night, but she didn’t think they would and explained something about how they pay them, etc. We told her we did not want a refund. We used the hotel to keep our luggage (we even put the do not disturb sign) and used the parking so we could stay late to enjoy more of Caceres, but now we wanted to leave. She then checked us out, we paid parking and left. When you check in, the front desk puts the room keys inside a box that seemed to be sanitizing the plastic card with ultra violet rays, yet he touched our passports and handed them back to us. They key process is more for a show. They need to pay more attention to what their cleaning staff is not doing. Judging from the amount of people that were there, they might be doing a very quick turn around on those rooms. That is not good, especially during this pandemic. We noticed a previous comment from “Juan Torres, Director General at Gran Hotel Don Manuel” stating they refunded us the money for that night. I rewrote this review to address his comment. Sr Torres, that is not true. We checked our credit card today, in case we missed it, all we have is the parking charge from this hotel. Had there been a refund, it would have come from hotels.com because we booked through them and paid in full through them. We chose the Zafra Parador because we traveled through Spain and stayed in the right place to rest on that night, but that was not the only criterion: it was a very beautiful historic building with conditions and good comments. We were not disappointed! The hotel has a very comfortable accommodation in a castle environment, but it has been very friendly and the parking was paid.

I staid here 10 years ago and while the decor hasn’t changed much, nor has the excellent service The rooms are a little tired but the beds are luxurious there’s a fridge in each room and bottles of water were topped up each day.

Beautiful hotel, very close to the bus station, with supermarkets nearby like Lidl, Carrefour, with amazing prices, bus stop nearby to go to the city centre main attractions. Swimming pool that is fantastic for the scorching heat of Extremadura. The room was very comfortable, orthopaedic mattress that gives you relax and helps you after travelling. Daily cleaning service.

We arrived and there was no staff at reception, a number of people were waiting,one lady was phoning the hotel but still no one one came, waiting about 25 minutes. Eventually a man came out looking flustered, but didn't apologise for keeping us waiting. The room was very clean, had everything we needed but the bed was uncomfortable and it wasn't a good night sleep. Parking was great, location was good. Didn't eat there, we paid 4€ for a glass of wine which was expensive in comparison to other similar hotels that we had stayed in on our journey

El hotel está situado a unos 15 min del centro histórico, las habitaciones matrimoniales son grandes y están bien equipadas, lo único que se hecha en falta algo más de insonorización ya que se escucha más el ruido de las habitaciones y de las chicas de limpieza que del exterior. El desayuno está muy bueno y variado además de las camareras y camareros ser muy serviciales y atentos. El parking tiene plazas dentro de la media en tamaño pero el precio me parece excesivo considerando que hay un parking público a 2 min que cuesta bastante menos.

hotel que esta como a menos de 10 minutos andando de la zona monumental, completamente renovado, habitación amplia, y muy limpia, el coche puedes aparcarlo en la calle en zona azul que los festivos es gratis, la calidad precio es excelente, muy recomendable

A luxurious experience. Everything about this hotel was good. The location, near to main road but no sound from it. Near to Caceres in one direction and the countryside in the other. Lovely and helpful staff, excellent restaurant. Very comfortable rooms. Free use of the spa for 30 minutes made for a lovely stay. Also very near Portugal. Fully recommend

Hotel situado en la plaza de la catedral, al lado de esta y con varias habitaciones que ofrecen unas vistas suyas bonitas. Facilidad de aparcamiento en la misma plaza. El edificio es amplio, es el antiguo palacio episcopal. La habitación, buena y cómoda. Bien dotada y amplia. Un poco escasa, eso sí, de enchufes. El precio, bastante razonable, 65 euros en agosto del 2024. El desayuno es tipo bufet, un poco pobre. Amabilidad de los empleados, muy especialmente para solucionarme un problema por haber equivocado la fecha de la reserva. La fecha que yo realmente deseaba estaba completo: me lo cancelaron por teléfono e incluso me llamaron al día siguiente al producirse una cancelación por si me interesaba.

We have been staying for two nights. The hotel is a rural type, with a wonderful patio where you can take something. The large, simple rooms with basic services and a bathroom, clean and very comfortable beds. The staff is very friendly and careful, with a very familiar treatment. The restaurant part we had to dine there on the two nights we stayed, all we had to try was loved, extreme-style castle soup, very good, but what we take a 10 is the tower, very rich. We, if we go back to a cacherian route, would repeat!!!

Madrid drove back to Lisbon over the hotel. The hotel is very cost-effective, with free parking, about 15 minutes to the restaurants and shopping streets in the town centre.

Very comfortable room. Location excellent on Plaza Espana in centre of Merida. Very good breakfast. Good variety of food on offer. Staff very competent and friendly. Rooftop pool helped us cool off after day of sightseeing. Did not use hotel valet parking service as considered price too high. Hotel reception staff were more than happy to show us suitable location for free on street parking, which worked well for us.

Hotel localizado en Lobón en medio de Badajoz y Mérida. Excelente habitación, amplia, moderna y a buen precio. Precio algo alto para el lugar pero correcto dadas las fechas (Semana Santa). Tiene bar con un buen desayuno. A pie se puede visitar el pueblo. A 5 minutos hay un supermercado. Atención muy buena de todos sus empleados.

Small boutique hotel with a lot of charm. The hotel looks like it was someone's summer home that has been converted into a quirky, little B&B. The staff was oh so friendly and more than willing to answer all our questions. The hotel sits on a small street that is within walking distance to a plethora of Roman ruins plus a number of small restaurants, one which sits rights next to the Temple down the street. If we ever come to Merida again, I would definitely stay at Hotel Spa Adealba.

Honestly, I have mixed feelings about this hotel. For a budget hotel, just know that is what you are getting. We needed a 1 night stay so it was fine. First of all it says free street parking. We did find a spot but it was several blocks away and the spots weren't plentiful so we were thankful when we found it. There is a public garage but it is several blocks away and I don't like our car being that far away. When we checked in they are very nice. We had a 4 single beds room reserved & at first glance it was very nice. Plenty cool with the A/C. However, after walking all around our teenage son went into the bathroom (which happened to be their handicap accessible room) to take a shower & the water backed up & he ended up with water all over the floor. It was not ideal. We talked to the front desk but since it was at night he wasn't able to do anything about it. So we just asked for extra towels to soak it up. Then when we showered we had to use those towels to make a dam where the shower stopped and only ran the minimum of water

We choose this hotel because we already where there. Nice hotel with a very helpfull and friendly staff and a good restaurant. On our arrivel early in the afternoon we got already in the entrance a “strong smell of the sewers” who you could smell in the whole hotel and this until the other morning. We used the restaurant service on our arrival, and also in the evening, then we got our second bad experience, there were arrived 3 coaches with Chinese tourists, in total 101 of them. We got them in the room next door and it seems to us that they were remodelating the complete room, they moved with the furniture for about 3 hours, then in the restaurant they were more than noisy, they do not have any respect or education at all, lucky for us the staff has moved them into another room for the breakfast in the morning, they arrive with thermoses and bacpack to fill them with drinks and food for the day, we have this experience from other hotels where we had also Chineses in the hotel. So for this time a sad experience into the hotel, lucky for us that the staff is so friendly- Very important, this is the second time we are going there, so do not follow the “Gps” on the “Avenida Reina Sofia 78, 06800 Merida, Spain” - he wil send you into the other direction, comming from “Badajoz” just follow him until you arrive in “Merida”, look out for the sign of the hotel, and drive always straight in front, passing so several roundabouts, and this will lead you into the industrial area of Merida, just follw ahead and you will see the hotel on your right hand side when the road is going uphill.

These apartments are really lovely, roomy, warm, comfortable and a great location. We drove to Merida and were able to park at a reduced cost very close by after a recommendation from the apartments. We could easily walk everywhere and come back easily to get things. We were a family of 4 adults travelling and it was such a lovely place to stay.
