Balgownie Estate Yarra Valley is a lovely place to stay, surrounded by a beautiful vineyard. There’s a walking path that leads up to a scenic viewpoint, offering a stunning view of the vineyard, and you can even see cows up close if you are lucky.
The room was cozy and comfortable, making for a relaxing stay. However, the air conditioning unit was a bit of a downside—it was blowing out dust and positioned right above the bed, which wasn’t ideal. A little more maintenance on that would improve the experience. The hotel eventually helped us to change to a new room which did not have any problem.
Overall, it’s a great place for a peaceful getaway in the Yarra Valley, with gorgeous scenery and a tranquil atmosphere.
Like the hotel vibe and friendly staff. Big free parking. Very good and big room. For some more $$$ you can get golf view, otherwise the room will face parking. Did not like the breakfast - a bit overpriced, was charged for small child as well and not that much to eat
The hotel was a last minute booking and the reviews made me stay here rather than another hotel. The hotel is in a good location and a nice area. Clean and spacious rooms and nice quality shampoo and body wash. We would have liked to use the hot springs and assumed they were part of the hotel amenities, but they need to be booked in advance which was disappointing. Generally I would recommend this hotel but make sure to book the hot springs.
Very bad experience, we have been forced to pay extra for my son to stay and changed to a room that is totally different to what we have booked. We have rang the hotel and confirmed the room we booked can accomodate for 2 adult and one chd with no extra cost as long as we are happy that there will only be one king bed. But the night before check in, everything was changed. We were told we have to pay extra $100 for my son to stay and at check in on the day, we hace forced to change to another room which is totally different to what I booked originally. All they said ia apologise for any inconvenience. Both Trip.com and the hotel did not take any responsibility for this matter. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
The facilities are pretty clean and new. Kids love the outdoor swimming pool during the day and night. The room is a bit small for big families, but has everything you need, including TV and apps. The breakfast is just ok cos I was told chef is on leave so they can only provide a limited range of food options. The location is good, but far away from the city centre and restaurants. It is close to the beach and NY fireworks.
I have stayed here on 40-50 or more occasions for work purposes over the past 7 years. It's basic but comfortable in a centrally located part of Mildura. Will continue to stay providing their prices are competitive. Otherwise there's plenty of other hotels close by as good or a touch better so it pays to shop around.

Was a great location. Tram stop right out front. Didn't use the facilities (pool, sauna, gym) but checked them out. All look good. Unfortunately the pool is outside and not heated. Room was a little smaller than expected from pictures but was perfect for what we needed.
Loved our stay, the accommodation was exactly as it’s advertised, condition of the room and fit outs were new and almost sparkling clean.
Water pressure was excellent and bed, pillows were comfortable, we have enjoyed our stay.
Walking distance to nearby supermarket and restaurants, very strategic location.
Highly recommended if you are looking for spacious apartments for your family members and friends.

Not a 5 star hotel, anymore. Booked for 7nights though I only need 5nights as early check in and late check out aren’t available, but that’s ok, I understand it’s business and I don’t mind it.
HOWEVER,
Aud7 delivery fee required for asking a chopsticks to my room.
Was told by front desk drinking water only free when you check in as a welcome drink. Thankfully
Choices of Breakfast is as of a 3 star hotel if not worst.
Location is not as vibrant as early years of crown, almost dead.
Tablet instructions weren’t working in the beginning. Thankfully it was fixed after complains were made.
Requested housekeeping in the evening and was told it’s not available anymore at this hours.
There’s a food stain on the coffee table when I checked in. Could be easily cleaned, did not complain, it’s still there the day after, it shows how “thorough” this hotel does their house keeping work.
Bottomline, not value for money, not a 5star, won’t be back, not recommended.
RRita_WangWe had a layover in Melbourne and chose the Novotel airport hotel for our break. The room is clean, but the curtains do not block any light. Everything else is good.
GGuest UserThis is a very nice resort. The interior is very clean and large. Bed is comfortable and toilet is good with jacuzzi. You will see kangaroos and cockatoos outside the cottage in the morning and evening. My kids enjoy the stay very much. However you need to either cook your own meals or drive out to eat. The drive is about 15 mins.
JJustinThe stay was small as I only needed it for one night, but the room itself was also quite small. The room had a single bed on wheels that would move very freely whenever I tried to sit down on it. The bathroom, however, was the most surprising as it was way too small, even for just myself. I noticed the toilet was rather close to the sink, so I tried to sit on the toilet and I physically could not do it because the sink was in the way of my legs. I had to walk sideways into the shower to use it and water was shooting very fast at the wall opposite, so showering was tricky. There is also a lift / elevator that is currently out of commission and pears to being repaired, yet the sign for the other lift appears not to be installed correctly.
This is quite the disappointment for a Best Western hotel and the discounted cost of $90 was still too much to pay for what I received. I would possibly tolerate paying $60 - $70 per night for a room like that (at regular price) just because of the location and literally nothing else, but it is not worth the regular cost of well over $100 per night and there are less expensive hotels nearby that provide bigger and better rooms.

GGuest UserThe live situation of the accommodation is reasonable in Melbourne for such a price. The service at the front desk of the hotel is very good. The towel will be thoughtfully windy.
Vvan0ffthewallStayed at Ibis Kingsgate for two weeks as I was here to celebrate my birthday. It is my second time staying here; I also came here last year for two weeks and for my birthday!
The hotel is located within a good and safe area - which is great for solo travellers such as myself.
I’ve seen families at this hotel too.
Ibis Kingsgate is within the free tram zone (you can take the 86 or 96), with access to many amenities nearby such as Coles, Woolies, Southern Cross Station (great for when you have to catch the SkyBus), My Chemist, and a range of food and cafe options.
Located at the cross junction of King and Bourke St, the hotel is also walking distance to other popular streets such Elizabeth, Queen, Williams, Colins, Lonsdale, La Trobe, and more! Flinders is nearby too, and you can just cut across to Southbank as well! In fact, you can even walk to Lygon, Docklands or even as far as Collingwood, which I did!
If walking is not your thing, there are also many options for trams, trains, and buses near this hotel.
Room is adequate and clean, with a nice range of television channels. There’s a fridge, kettle and tea/coffee which is occasionally refilled. Bathroom is good too; sufficient and spacious enough, and for some - there’s even a window in the bathroom!
The hotel staff are nice and it’s always great to be back. Thank you for the room upgrade, it made my trip even more special. I returned the gesture by keeping the room as clean and tidy as possible. ;p
Until next time! See ya later!

Very Good
GGuest UserLocation: Can be tricky to find the first time as you need to turn onto Cyril Street. Look across the road for the white building with red writing.
Check-in: easy and fast. The man on reception is friendly and organised, just a lovely receptionist. There is a bond of $200; be organised and you’ll save your time and the receptionist’s time. You can pay the bond in cash.
Parking: great, BUT there are some permanents living there and so you might want to park away from them… you will see immediately where you should not park :) clean parking area. Seemed organised.
Room: very clean, comfortable. There are no knives, forks or plates, but there is a kettle and a microwave. Teas coffees, etc. six milk pods, so maybe bring milk if you need more. Really make sure that you close the door properly or it will seem shut, but not actually be shut and will open :) Good curtains in the room that block out the light from outside. I noticed a fair amount of security cameras outside on the walkway, which was reassuring. Fantastic showers with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The bed is firm, but I liked it.
Would or wouldn’t stay again? Unfortunately, no, not while they are acting as ‘crisis accommodation’. The staff and room were great, but there are some undesirables living there who kept us awake all night. Not exaggerating when I say, did not sleep AT ALL. We were up and down to check on the car - the permanents were screaming, fighting - some real Jerry Springer stuff. I was upstairs and the people next to me had a dog that barked all night, in addition to the couple screaming at each other :/ Downstairs, fighting, screaming constantly. it sounded like something got broken downstairs. A guy on a motorbike kept coming and going, visiting the permanents downstairs and talking super loudly, then more yelling and fighting after he tore off on his bike. I didn’t feel safe; I expected the car to get damaged. I realise those people’s behaviour is not the motel’s fault, but I was so tired the next day that I got a migraine and yeah, still fending it off now, day after. Not impressed with those feral permanents. It’s a shame because the staff and rooms are great
KKarinaCannot fault the staff however the amenities need overhaul. The rooms TV didn’t work was advised couldn’t be fixed until the following day. Went to use hairdryer to find out no power points on that side of room were working. Again advised cant be fixed straight away. Had to use TV as a mirror for blow drying hair! Then we continued to get calls after 10pm from reception checking if everything was alright despite being told it cannot be fixed. Really disappointing. On a positive to GM and receptionist Cheryl were outstanding in trying to assist and did remove some charges.

TTaralesleyWe had an amazing stay at Quest Flemington Central.
Our room was clean, comfortable and well presented.
The kitchen was packed with a full sized fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee machine and all plates, bowls, cups or cutlery we could need.
Washer and dryer as well as a balcony, it really was a lovely room, we were very happy!
The pool was heated and the roof top view was gorgeous, it was very relaxing and great for a morning or late night dip. Staff were very respectful and accommodating.
SSY1610The room space is good and mostly clean. Toilet amenities are available only upon request. Pillows are ok in my opinion. The lobby and reception is at Level 2. The staff service is friendly, always up for a conversation, very helpful team members. Large spaces in lobby lounge for groups. Breakfast spread is standard buffet and sufficient but wouldn’t say it’s amazingly divine. Location is super convenient, near southern cross train station, tram stop, and walkable to anywhere. Lots of cafés around.
