The guy at the reception was rude. Because I'm vegan I ordered food from uber as their restaurant didn't have vegan options that I was sure about. The guy read on the food bag I ordered and asked me why do you eat plastic charge which was mentioned apart from my main dish by the restaurant.

So happy with the hotel. Location was ideal and had some great views of the surrounding area. Room was spacious as well as comfortable! This was way above my expectation. It seems the hotel has been recently renovated which enhanced the experience too

This is such a nice hotel to stay no matter you are a business traveler, solo traveler or with a family. The lounge and workspace suit all these types and help you to relaxed! A very central location with walkable distance to the Rotterdam Centraal Station, The Market and the harbour side. You will be surprised that they have a nice exercise area! Their breakfast is also nice for those who have tight schedule in the morning or simply wanna chill at the lounge. If you are a person who cares for saving our planet or a design lover, you will love this hotel. USUAL cares about the impact of their building materials and daily products on the environment and do good job in recycling as well. You can tell from their interior design of their entire hotel. And it’s fun to find out how many “U” they hide in all the design details! Have fun and enjoy your stay there like me!

I was a bit unsure abiut staying here once I booked as the reviews were mixed. We arrived and the hotel is basic, has a communal area with free tea/coffee and charging sockets. The room we were given was not the one i booked, but after talking to reception, she showed ne an alternative room (which was the one I booked) but said it needed cleaning if we wouldn't mind waiting. We agreed to wait. It was basic, but had beds, a good rainfall shower, towels and tea/kettle. It was all we needed for the one night and it was as pictured met my expectations for the price we paid. I didnt expect the hiltib paying youth hostel prices. The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly. I wouldn't say this is the hotel Id pick for a long stay with a young family, but for price and location to central station for 1 night it was ideal and did the job.

Exceptional Stay at Hilton Garden Inn, Leiden! I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hilton Garden Inn in Leiden, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome with their warm hospitality and professionalism. The room was spotless, spacious, and well-appointed with all the modern amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep after a long day. Housekeeping did a fantastic job maintaining cleanliness throughout my stay. One of the highlights was the breakfast—fresh, delicious, and with a great variety of options to suit different tastes. The on-site restaurant also offered quality meals, and the service was top-notch. I highly recommend it and will definitely stay here again in the future!

The place was very clean and surprisingly spacious! Loved that you could leave luggage in the lockers, even before and after check-in. Everything went smoothly, would stay here again.

I was first assigned to a room without a bathtub which it’s different from my order. Then the hotel changed me to a room that the air conditioning was broken. We waited there for an hour and started to feel sick due to the air tight and hot environment. When I came back after sight seeing, I was enrolled to a room with better view and a bathtub. The air conditioning is old, but still functioning. Sometimes cold, sometimes cool with wind only. Location is wonderful, 1 min walk to the left. Hygiene, I only see housekeeper cleaning and tidying up the room, but the carpets outside and inside the hotel were damped and filled with leaves. The reception desk was dusty, the lift are old with cracks there. The windows are dirty inside out. The gym has basic facilities. I didn’t have breakfast, but they provide basic needs too. The price was the cheapest among all 5-star hotels, even cheaper than a 4-star hotel. If you only need a room to stay, it can fulfil your basic needs.

This is the most unexpected thing I have ever lived. Great. Close to the sea. But there is no time to move forward. Very good, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, very good, very good, very good, very good, very good, very good, great, great, great, great, great, great.

Hotel was in a good location, right next to the metro and lots of lovely restaurants nearby. For the price, I thought the amenities in the room were lacking. No iron, some of the sachets eg. Shoe shine was torn open, a wine glass was missing, bare minimum of tea options, the bath took 40 minutes to drain, and the hot water was BURNING - burnt myself (no warning). I usually don’t complain about stays but as this a highly rated hotel and for the price I paid, I was disappointed.

Rooms are relatively small. Staff are helpful. Very close to the beach and lots of restaurants and casinos nearby. Parking is super expensive (around 49 euro)
