We were unfortunate to travel during low season, which in Koh Rong means 99% rain everyday, by conversations with locals they are fully aware of this yet all bookings and activities are business as usual but cannot be enjoyed, such as snorkling, BBQ boat etc. because of the weather we were stuck in the hotel 90% of the time, there is NO TV (it does say in room amenities, I read too late) so just be aware, specially if travelling with little ones. The pool is not an option because of thunder and lighting. It costs 15USD to get to the hotel from the pier. There is no ATM on the island only one stall that lets you use your card to pay the local then they give you the money, this is charged at 8% š” This is important because for lack of internet connection you cant always use card to pay at restaurant for your lunches and dinner, also when you can, there is a 3% fee to do so. All activities must also be paid in USD but old rugged bills are not accepted even if they have been given to you by other traders ib the island or if the bills got a bit wet in the rain, which was a frequent problem. So come with plenty of new dollars or you'll find yourself stuck with little options. the night before check out, we asked the staff to please let the ferry company know we would be taking the 9:30am ferry to Sihakouville (as instructed by the ferry company). We booked a 9:00am return trip to the pier as recommended. However as we arrived the ferry was leaving, at 9:15. We were not the only ones left behind. Some people had a flight to catch later that day and were made to pay another 17USD per person as according to them it was āimpossibleā to fit them into one of the almost-empty-boats of one of the other many ferry companies, because they dont work together, some families payed up to 70USD to not miss their flight despite it not being their fault. The hotel was standard, for a beach hotel, nice huts, the beds were clean and comfortable and the highlight was definitely the food at the restaurant, over the 4 days, we tried many dishes all of them delicious. I can imagine during sunny season it must be a beautiful location and a beautiful hotel. saying this, I already thought it was overpriced for low season compared to similar hotels in Thailand and Bali, so for me the price you would pay in high season I would not consider it, specially given the whole experience with the ferry and USDs. ā¹ļø

The One Resort is highly recommended. Situated only a few steps away from the beach, the most helpful and friendly staff, spacious rooms and a fantastic swimming pool. The host (Dimitri) was top notch, helpful, hospitable and so friendly. We would definitely return and with the recent construction it could only get better. Thank you to The One Resort team!

Booked into this hotel to get a private room as wasnāt very well . I didnāt get any sleep all night because woke to a couple in next room shouting at a man outside their room telling him to go away , this went on for quite a while . My curtains didnāt close fully and when every thing went quiet I saw that he was then looking through the gap in my curtains . As a solo female I didnāt open the door to tell him to go away I just hid until he left . I guess they donāt have security as sure they would have heard the couple next door shouting at him .
Still feeling very unwell I was going to extend but I checked out at 8 am and left as just didnāt feel safe staying another night .

Advantages: The hotel is very quiet and the decoration catching eyes, and the staff are always smiling.
Disadvantages: There are many insects, the equipment is quite old, the room has a musty smell, and the breakfast is not diverse.

The sea shore is perfect: very nice white sand, comfortable sea entrance that will be very nice for small children. No coral boots needed. Better choose sun beds not close to the sea to avoid sand flies.
Very good breakfast - nice choice of fruits. Overall good kitchen at the restaurant - big plates.
Trip from the pier costs 5$ per person one way.
WC in the room has no ceiling - so youāll hear your couple doing things from the rest of the room š

Since there are relatively few Chinese tourists coming to Cambodia, I decided to write a review specifically for friends who are coming here. The hotel is about 15 minutes away from the ferry port. There are four boat trips a day, and you can confirm the time in advance. The price-performance ratio is very high. The sea water is as blue and transparent as Maldives. It is also very cheap, only more than 1,000 yuan. You can rent motorcycles and go out to play. Basically, there are all kinds of activities. The hygiene is also very good. In general, I recommend it.

Pros:
- the most beautiful beach I've seen in my life. White sand as thin as flour. Transparent water. Fish swimming around, seashells, crabs...
- kids love it. There's almost no waves. You can walk 50m into the sea and the water just reaches your waist. Great for little kid. Our 1.5 y.o. kid loved playing in the water.
- the restaurant of the hotel serves fusion food. Delicious and not pricey. The neighboring hotel Your and Me has a restaurant that makes more traditional khmer food that is also delicious.
- the room is spacious, bright, with an incredible view. Anyway, you will spend the whole day outside.
- for 100$ you can take a boat and do fishing, snorkeling, touring the island.
- the hotel has free kayaks, paddles.
Can improve:
- the staff is very laid back. They are very nice but at the restaurant for instance, better go to the bar to order I saw people do that rather than waiting for someone to service you. Everyone seems ok with that.
Cons:
- the shower is outdoor. So washing outside trying to avoid mosquitoes is not great. One night we had a visitor, a huge spider fell on my wife while she was giving bath to our kid, it was the size of my hand. Not a great experience. But we'll this is nature. Can't fault the hotel.
- we staid at a double room the night before. And the only difference was just a few intelligent change in furniture : trash in with a lid, glass door in the restroom so natural light comes in, a bathtub that was not really useful. For these small changes the price difference is huge.
Important Note:
I learnt unfortunately that the island is infested with sand fleas. All the hotels are facing this issue. A bite is not dangerous but bothersome if you're allergic which was my case. My wife and two kids had no issue. But I was bitten on my back because there was some sand on my bedsheet and the sand fleas had a feast at night. My back itched crazy for one week. The bad thing is it seems hotels have no pharmacy. So be prepared and bring your own topical cream or cortisone cream, and antihistamine just in case. It seems I was the only one in the hotel to have this issue but googling it I found a few bloggers describing having this issue.
Note 2: there's a ferry that can bring you directly from Sihanoukville to the hotel's beach, one per day. We took the GTVC to LongSet Beach Pier, then had a taxi, 5$ per person. We did that. It was a smooth ride. The taxi was a great experience

GGuest UserThe place is so fresh, clean, and nice view. I highly recommend for couples, friends, and family. If u wish to have a private and relax trip, pls go there. The staff, managers, services are all very friendly. The price is reasonable with given breakfast. Will visit again!
YYulia/It was a pleasure to stay in this resort. Highly recommend. Felt myself like at home. The stuff is very friendly and nice. The breakfast was simple but delicious. The room is clean and spacious. The resort has its own beach. But we prefered to go to another one. It took 5-7 min to get there. And in the evening we were coming back also by ourselves since the boat can pick you up at the pier only at 6 pm. Overall it was a great staying. Would love to come back again.

Mmuy_felizAll in all, I canāt complain. The hotel is nice well equipped. The staff is friendly and responsible.
Nevertheless, thereās a room for improvement. For example kitchen personnel most certainly requires some training. In the middle of our stay we had a severe food poisoning from breakfast buffet (thereās no doubt), which leads me to thinking a hygiene issue took place, not the food quality. Furthermore, Sunset restaurant has served me mashed potatoes with side vegetables instead of ordered ratatouille with chicken breast without any explanation or warning. Not crucial but disappointing.
å å Streets of ShenzhenLong Beach Resort is located in such a beautiful spot that youāll never want to leave. The beach stretches for miles in either direction, the sand is pristine, and the snorkeling at the shore can be as good as elsewhere across these islands. Staff are very friendly and can help arrange anything for you. Use Facebook to contact for pickup rather than email. Wifi works fine near the restaurant, otherwise only certain SIM cards have signal. Breakfast could be better, but otherwise the restaurant food is very good. Would definitely stay again.
AAlex BoteroMy husband and I really enjoyed our time at Sara Resort. The room was clean and had all the amenities one would need. The pool area was wonderful and we got to spend time relaxing, contemplating and reading. Having the beach within a few steps was great. I loved being able to go for an early morning swim. The staff were friendly and attentive. The resort also had entertainment some of the evenings. My favorite aspect was being able to slow down and relax in a comfortable and chilled environment. Thank you Sara Resort and staff for a wonderful experience.

AAnonymous UserLocation: Perfect and peaceful island setting in Cambodia.
Service: Needs more attention from top management. Due to staff shortages during peak holiday season, service was inconsistent, affecting the overall guest experience.
Boat Schedule Issue: There was a mismatch in boat schedule information between the reservations team and the front desk. This created difficulties for guests without private transportation, especially since the island is remote and ride-hailing apps (Grab/PassApp) are not readily available. The hotelās private taxi service charges **$50 one-way**, which feels excessiveāmanagement should reconsider pricing.
Food Options: Limited menu choices in the restaurant, and the menu was only in English with no pictures. As a local Cambodian, I sometimes struggled to identify dishes.
Room & Amenities: Fantasticāclean, comfortable, and hygienic.
Breakfast: Absolutely delicious!
SPA: Highly recommended! Relaxing and affordable, especially with the hotelās 30% exclusive discount. One of the best parts of my stay.
Buggy Service: A major letdown. Upon checkout, the front desk failed to inform us that no buggy was available. We waited **almost an hour** with no updates, even after calling twice. Eventually, we had to walk to reception.
Overall: This hotel has great potential but needs better communication, staffing adjustments, and improved guest convenience (transportation, food options, and service reliability).
