Sunrise Alex Avenue Hotel

The hotel is beautiful and quiet, and thank God all the guests I saw were respectful in their dress and manners. The hotel was also beautiful, clean and wonderful, and their breakfast was varied and beautiful as well.

Beautiful old hotel on the water. I had a great sea view. The breakfast is fine but the roof top location of the restaurant and bar is great! The rooms are maybe a bit smaller than other places, but plenty for two of us and it is quite old and historic so one must understand. It’s got old decor, style, and elevator, but the bathroom, TV, and other amenities are modern and working well. I found the bed, pillows and linens to be clean and comfortable. Location is convenient- near shops, street food, other hotels with their bars and restaurants. Right between the library and the fort. You can see both from the rooftop restaurant or room balcony. About a 20 minute to walk to the library, 30-45 to the fort.

The hotel has different types of rooms, we lived with a balcony overlooking the indoor pool, but there are also rooms in houses right on the beach! Breakfast takes place in a small restaurant on the beach, it is very simple and cute at the same time! The hospitable manager of this restaurant! Loves Russians) Open veranda, beach, sea, cats...) great! There is also a restaurant inside the hotel, but we also had dinner at the beach restaurant. The hotel beach is like between two city beaches, but has its own territory with sun loungers and beach cushions. Of course, both pillows and loungers require urgent updating! The beach is sand and there is also sand in the sea. The water was still cool, but it would be great to swim in the heat! The hotel is actively preparing for the summer season! Many rooms are being renovated! We experienced days with Wi-Fi not working, the manager called regularly and asked if everything was okay with us. There were no towels in the room upon check-in, we chalked it up to low occupancy of course...but☝️ And one more thing: something needs to be done about the laundry carts or ask the maids not to push these carts around early in the morning! It feels like a bombing has begun when they are taking them early in the morning along the pool! 🙈 Cocktails can be ordered by the pool, of course don’t expect much variety and quality) Great live music by the pool in the evening! There was a live concert inside the main building too! Hookahs can be ordered everywhere: from the pool to your room and on the beach on sun loungers. The wait staff is attentive for the most part. Mohamed Ali, who helps with things, also helps with other issues. A taxi from the hotel is a very real thing. You can go to the city. People went to the Four Season at the shopping mall! Along the embankment where the hotel is located, there are several food establishments, and there are bicycle and ATV rentals! You can go to a cafe, grab a drink and sit on the beach, tables on the sand by the water. In general, we liked it, after the necessary update it will be just great!
Le Metropole Luxury Heritage Hotel since 1902 by Paradise Inn Group

Whilst the location of this hotel is excellent, and the aesthetic of the hotel is very regal / European in its vibe (old style elevator, bell boy, tea room), the actual facilities are just average. The handle to our room was broken, the room itself smelt damp, there was no wifi connection available and no water bottles were provided as previously promised. The novelty in living in a “fancy” turn-of-the-century style hotel was fine for 1 night, but I’m not sure I’d recommend this place based on the price tag per night.
Hilton Alexandria Green Plaza

It is a little far from famous tourist spots. There is a shopping mall next door. It was Christmas time so it was very crowded. The room was clean. You can borrow a hair dryer from the front desk. Amenities such as towels and soap are provided, but unlike typical Japanese hotels, there are no toothbrushes or slippers. The breakfast was buffet style and was delicious.

The food and catering service was excellent. It will be grossly unfair if we do not make special mention of the extraordinary courtesy and service rendered by one, Mr. Ahmed Masry (FB). Regret I cannot say the same for Housekeeping who had to be reminded to replace the used tumblers and replenish the water bottles. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Wonderful location - near to 80% of the sites but not many tourists. Lots of amazing bakeries and cafes nearby with a local vibe. In Alexandria there was no hassle unlike Cairo, Aswan and Luxor. Service was very kind, friendly and professional. Value for money was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and look forward to returning again.

After crossing the road, it is the seaside. It is convenient to eat and go shopping around. The front desk luggage service is courteous and friendly. Breakfast is rich. Recommended

Nice hotel only the corridors which lead to the rooms are a little dated with gray carpet in poor condition. The corridors are sad and need to be refreshed with a good lick of paint. The rooftop pool and spa may be out of order at this time of year.
