I arrived at the hotel in the middle of the night. I was a novice at the hotel front desk and it took me more than 20 minutes to check in. However, the waiter's attitude was still very good and the person was nice, so I didn't care about it. However, the hotel room was too small. I thought it would be more expensive in a hotel in Japan or Hong Kong. mini, but the facilities and equipment are still very new and advanced, neat and clean; the breakfast is also quite good, there are not many fresh fruits and juices, the front desk during the day is very professional and skilled, the overall evaluation of the hotel is good, it is a 10-minute walk from the train station , good location. Just take a taxi to the train station. They are all French-speaking cities and you can easily communicate in English.
The Au Lit des Ours provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. Visitors to Rochefort will find that the Au Lit des Ours is a fantastic accommodation choice. The hotel is located approximately 32km from Anseremme. The nearest railway station is Anseremme, approximately 32km from the hotel. There is no shortage of things to see in the area, with the Montgolfiades Han-sur-Lesse, Camping Restaurant Le Caillou and Musée de la vie paysanne et des métiers oubliés all nearby. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. This Rochefort hotel features parking on site.
A very nice hotel, catered to families with children.
A few ‘minus points’
The restaurant was very small for the size of the hotel.
There was no night light or power outlet at the child’s bed
The temperature in the entire hotel, including the room, was very high! This was difficult to regulate in the room and sleeping in these temperatures was not pleasant for us.
This hotel is the best and most spacious Ibis hotel I’ve been to. The decor is stylish and chic with well thought out amenities. Nice big room with comfortable beds and views. Breakfast buffet was simple but nice. Staff were helpful and friendly. My family and I are extremely happy with this hotel, I wish I’ve booked here for more than two nights.
It’s 8mins drive up from the hotel to the citadel, the cafe overlooks the river so if you could, request for the facing along the river. We didn’t and I kinda regret that. The side facing the road can be a little noisy at night. The bed and shower is good. There is spare pillow which is standard sized. Towels are also provided but the others such as brush and combs do bring one set yourself. There is also no hot water flask. The reception is kind and helpful.
The breakfast is amazing with attentive staff and the orange juice is freshly squeezed on the spot by a machine. It was too cold to sit alfresco but I would if the weather is a tad warmer.
Parking on-site is limited but there are parking around the area free or charged. Just don’t park into the ****** or you would have trouble getting your car mentioned by the reception.
Otherwise, another great restful night in a no frills hotel I would recommend. Thank you.
The whole mountain is a castle, overlooking the entire Namur city, the sensory effect is very good! The hotel staff is warm and active, the room is clean and tidy, a great experience!
Great little hotel in a small town. There are 3 close by restaurants to choose from.
It’s clean and cozy. Our room is downstairs close to the entrance and the rest of the rooms are upstairs (no lift).
It is self checkin process which was relatively smooth. The email instructions were all in French, which made it somewhat difficult to follow checkin instructions, but we worked it out quickly.
My second stay. Quite convenient if we go by car to namur. A lot of furniture interior shop around (unexpected, but nice). 10 min to city center by car. There are a few bus from city with stop in front of hotel, but the frequency is like 1hr or more. Parking is great at the hotel. Room is good, chic and large. The bar is nice.

GGuest UserWe had an incredibly disappointing stay at Mercure Namur from 13 August to 15 August . Our experience was ruined by the inconsiderate behavior of neighboring French guests, who made excessive noise past midnight ( between 12:30 until 4:30 am….)Despite the constant loud music, shouting, and banging on the walls, and slamming the doors etc maybe they lost some money at ******.
I contacted the front desk , they made noises again after hotel security left. This made it impossible to get a decent night's sleep. We were awaken until 4.30 am .
We expected a peaceful stay, but instead, we spent the night in frustration. I hope by bringing these matters to your attention, similar incidents can be prevented in the future ensuring better restful experience for all guests.
