The location is close to Zermatt Station, and there is no problem dragging two suitcases. The Matterhorn peak is slightly visible, hidden by trees, so it seems good for checking if it is the Golden Horn.

My stay at this hotel was a wonderful experience! The hotel was priced at 500 euros per night for my room... Personally, I thought it was well worth it! This is because (1) A light course dinner is included (2) Breakfast buffet is included (3) It costs 60 euros round trip & takes about 1.5 hours to climb up here, so you can't get up and down so much and you don't know the weather on the mountain. The mountain railroad ends at 20:00 at night, so from then until morning, the top of the mountain will be monopolized by hotel guests. So, considering all these factors, I thought it was rather a good deal. In fact, I was able to capture the cloudless Matterhorn on my way home after checking out at the very end! So I recommend this hotel

The location was good, good for going to Glacier Paradise and for taking the Gornergrat Railway. I wish the restaurant section had been a bit better. That's why I gave it a 4 for service. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. I would definitely cook here again.

Very convenient to train station; Fruitful breakfast with special tea time for holiday; But it is disappointed that we can’t see Matterhorn directly as sunrise. Have self laundry service

The room is quite big and has a kettle. The bathroom is good and has a balcony. It is well ventilated and comfortable. The bed is OK and the sheets are clean. There is noise from the street but it is acceptable. There is a helicopter delivering wood in the morning and the engine noise lasts for a long time. The breakfast is average. The front desk is average. There is basically no service, which is normal.

The hotel is located in the best location walkable from the Zermatt main station easy to find food and drinks, close to coop and the hotel have nice terrace in front that u can sit for people watching our room had nice view of matterhorn comfortable bed. With moon roof

The staff is very kind and nice. They upgraded me to a larger single room. Single room does not have the mountain view. The staff shows me where I can see Matterhorn with a map which is very clear. The room is also very clean. Love the hotel.

I had a similar experience with the staff on the night shift. The hotel’s location is a standout feature. It’s just a 3-minute walk to the supermarket and a 5-minute stroll to the main street, where you’ll find a variety of shops and restaurants. For nature enthusiasts, the iconic Matterhorn viewpoint is a mere 20-minute walk (and climb) away. The room was a cozy haven, perfectly insulated from the cold without ever feeling stuffy. I especially appreciated the heated shower rack, which kept my towel warm – a small but thoughtful touch. However, the bathroom is on the smaller side, which might be a tight fit for taller individuals. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise. While simple, the variety offered made it feel sumptuous. The yoghurt stood out, and the availability of fresh fruits added a refreshing touch. Being an older establishment, you might notice the occasional sound of water running through the pipes or the mechanical hum of the lift – a minor trade-off for the hotel’s character and charm. Despite these quirks, Hotel Parnass has won me over. It’s an easy choice for a return visit to Zermatt, offering a warm, well-located, and comfortable stay.

In terms of transportation, although the hotel is not close to the train station, there is a free shuttle bus. You can send an email to the hotel to check the route (such as dragging a large gip, it is recommended to take the route that takes the sloping road). The hotel's reply is very quick and clear.
