Yufuin Onsen Hinoharu Ryokan Reviews

This ryokan is so beautiful and clean. The onsen is nice and clean. Staffs are very friendly. We got 4 single futon beds for our family of 4. The location is great. We had a wonderful 2d1n in Fuyuin. Highly recommend.

Very good very good

Location is superb right outside the main walking street Private onsen is very nice. Hotel staff, Umi, spoke excellent English and was with us throughout our 2 nights stay with breakfast and dinner. Driving in to the hotel is challenging as there are many people walking along the street. 6mins walk to kinrin Lake to watch the morning mist.

Great small ryokan hotel. Absolutely recommend to stay in Yufuin. Also with free private onsen.

Hotel location is quite near the shopping street. It is very convenience. There are quite a lot of hot spring inside. It is clean and tidy. Wifi is very good for me which helps me to work at night even on holidays. Food is good and staff is very polite and helpful. Will come gain or recommend to friend.

It is located in the center of Yufuin, so the location is good. You can enjoy the onsen leisurely and it feels good to be in nature. However, it is a bit disappointing that the dinner time is too long and coffee is not provided. I would like to visit again next time!

Central location, quiet in the bustling city. It takes 7-8 minutes to walk to the lake in the morning. It is very quiet and you can see the cold and hot springs on the lake meet. The hotel can ask the front desk to call a taxi, and the taxi to the station is 800. The breakfast is also very rich.

Giving full marks is an attitude. I like this traditional hot spring hotel very much. The location is very good, right between the station and Kinrin Lake, which is very convenient for walking. The hotel has eleven rooms and five hot springs of various sizes, which is enough for you to enjoy. The hotel's meals and services are also very good. The only thing is that I am not used to tatami, and it is not easy to get up and lie down.

The service was super super good, making us feel at home. Erica, a senior housekeeper who has worked in the hotel for eight years, carefully introduced each dish for dinner and took the initiative to take photos for us, which was very thoughtful. The food was super delicious, which really impressed my taste buds. They also provided fish for me who doesn’t eat beef. What I appreciate most is that the hot spring facilities do not require reservations and are very flexible. When no one is using the family bath, you only need to flip the "empty" sign to "in use" and lock it from the inside to make it a private bath and enjoy it for 40 minutes. The room facilities are complete and super clean. The location is very advantageous, only 15 minutes walk from Yufuin Train Station, easy to find, surrounded by Yunotsubo, shopping and eating are very convenient, and it only takes more than ten minutes to walk to Jinlin Lake.
